It tasted great with lot of flavours while the texture was smooth at the meat and crispy at the skin and bones. In comparison to the Peking Duck, the duck was a bit too thick cut. Other dishes are not big, so you may try more dishes with our limited space of our stomach. The service was attentive, even during the busy lunch hour with a lot of tables to fill, the waiting staffs gave us lot of attention to clearing our plates and even changing our dining plates as well. For the price of 100$ to 200$ per person, I think the overall service was outstanding. However, there is still room for improvement. For food, although they all tasted wonderful, I have a feeling that some of them could be better, such as the peking duck. It was more like having a personal chef / butler that works for you. We ordered two big arse shrimps and some sashimi. I didn't know what exactly we ordered, as my friend was in charge and again, often they were off-menu. But then, The thing really turned me off was how fancy they tried to make the food to a point it was a bit overdone. The shrimps looked like it was best eaten raw and fresh, but it was slightly grilled by the chef. It lost the fresh, and hence the taste. Same for the sashimi. Funny the dishes that I liked were the tofu hotpot with beef, which was done by the kitchen. All in all, it's a nice, intimate restaurant, quite aggressively priced ($900 each without any beverages ordered), excellent staff, and the freshness of the food was not quite meeting the expectation. I was very impressed with everything we got to try AND it was on the house. This spot is a little hole in the wall type place (not the easiest place to find, especially at night). Great for a night out with friends to enjoy drinks and some tapas style Japanese food. It's definitely worth checking out. If I am ever back in Hong Kong, I would be happy to stop by again.
