The venue was small and quaint, the menu had lots of tapas to choose from, and they had a great wine selection consisting of Reds, Roses, and Whites. The staff was very friendly and helped us with the menu since we could not speak French. We spent several hours here and more and more people arrived, appeared to be locals, which was a great sign to use we found a great place. After dinner, we had deserts which were great too. If you can, visit Le Tono. You should have a great meal!

I really wanted to try the Salade Niçois while in Nice, so I found this place on yelp seeing that they had it on their menu. It absolutely blew me away!!! It was practically the best meal I've ever eaten. My boyfriend had the white fish with risotto, which was incredible as well! The risotto was particularly special, sooo creamy and delicious. For dessert, we had the creme brûlée and the profiteroles (which is like a giant fried ice cream dish!), and both desserts were delicious as well. We both had a glass of rose, our entrees, and desserts, and the total bill was less than €60, which I thought was really reasonable for as good as it was! This is the type of place that I'll be dreaming about for the rest of my life, LOL.

I had the lamb with mashed potatoes and my friend had baked ziti. Oh mine! It was the best food we tasted in Nice. You could taste the freshness of the food made from scratch. With a bottle of wine to go with our meal, the price did not set us back at all. We were surprisingly pleased. The Wait staff were courteous as well. Engaging with us in English which was appreciated. Trust me, you would not receive such services anywhere in Paris. Thank you for a lovely first meal in Nice. If we ever visit again, which we will, I would stop by again.

Small nice restaurant in the Old-Nice who proposes essentially fondues bourguignonne (meat dipped…read morein hot oil), meats but also Savoyard (cheese fondue). Good atmosphere, from the arrival with offered apéritif (punch) in a small dedicated space then. After that you will sit at your table. If you come here you have to eat a fondue that is the speciality. I enjoy the Bacchus fondue where the meat is cooked in red wine sauce, what gives a very good taste. If you don't like fondue you can eat other things but I don't know if it's really good. Correct prices 13EUR on average. Do not take dessert, between the tiramisu and the crème brûlée it was not really a success! We finish the meal on the offered liqueur, it's a pity that it is water-down... And at the end by going out we still remember our meal thanks to the magnificent smell incrusted in clothes... Good points : originality, atmosphere, fondues Bad points : desserts, smells

Highly recommended

We had a lovely evening amongst the ladies and enjoyed a variety of Asian dishes from salmon tartare salad with Cambodian flavours to Bo Bun with Black Angus beef and chicken spring rolls. The desserts were creative from a chocolate soufflé to a ginger pineapple crumble topped with lime sorbet and caramel sauce plus a key lime cheesecake (the less successful of the desserts). I agree with Anais that some dishes could have used a little more spice or maybe some chillies on the side / on the table to allow people who love heat (me!) to customise their dishes a bit (the Pad Thai for example). Check it out, the chef is Asian, the location itself is pleasant inside and we were really very well received. A nice oasis in the middle of a shopping spree :)

The server I had was good at speaking English too so it was easy to communicate. The dish I ordered was the Canelonni, which was rich and cheese filled dish with (lasagna-like sheets of pasta) rolled around a mushroom filling. The dish was pretty tasty and heavy, though not the most flavorful, but I will say its hard to take a dish like that and really transform it. They gave bread, a full bottle of water and were very attentive. Overall a hearty local meal for a relatively inexpensive price given the area!
