Having moved here from the Bay Area, I had a chainsaw and a mower with me that needed annual maintenance since they are idle more of the time here. I also borrowed a friend's vintage (old) chipper shredder, used it for a season, and wanted to repay his generosity by getting it tuned up along with the other two.
I was pleased to find that there was a shop here in town that was not a major seller of implements because I didn't want to have to resist buying a new machine since that is almost always the solution to an older machine in need of maintenance.
I brought the three pieces to Zurita's and requested that all three be completely tuned, new oil, filters, plugs, blades sharpened, etc. I knew it was going to be somewhere around $400 for the three since the saw had lain unused for a couple of years and the motor on the chipper was a much older model and was showing its age, chuffing along instead of running smoothly.
It took four days, it was $440 and I am thrilled with the results. All three started on the first pull, ran smoothly, and all of the blades had been sharpened.
Timely, the price was where I expected it to be, friendly guy, and the saw, mower and chipper run better than I can remember. I couldn't be happier. read more
