I've been going to Zuri for the last 4 years & have always been very happy with my hair. Last time I saw Kate Walker. I was upset with how one side of my hair turned out, and she was so rude. Turned me away from the mirror, & snapped, "Just let me finish your hair", & started to layer the other side. When she was done, I was trying to explain what I didn't like, she was trying to explain why it had to be that way, I tried to tell her I'd been getting the same haircut at the same location for years, she said "I know, I cut your hair the last time". I tried to talk to her about a remedy/solution, she said "I'm not cutting any more off your hair because you won't be happy with anything", whipped off the gown, said have a good day & walked off. I've had plenty of bad hair experiences in my life, but I've never experienced a stylist who won't talk about the issue, and won't at least attempt to suggest a fix. She didn't charge me, just looked up from her super engaging phone screen from the other side of the room, waved me out of the salon saying "you're good", and returned her gaze back to her phone. The salon may look nice but some of the staff aren't as competent as they should be. I went here for highlights and they majorly screwed it up, missing sections entirely. Then I went back stupidly and got some extensions, they put only 2 packs in even though I needed at least 4 and continuously bailed on me so I looked like I had a mullet for a month! The overall environment was very unprofessional as my stylist texted me to book appointments and would frequently leave me on read or just wouldn't text me back at all. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I have been to a lot of salons in Bozeman over the years and I really enjoyed my experience at Zuri. The new location is a wonderful space and pulls you away from the hustle of Main Street. Plus, the chairs you sit in while having your hair washed are super comfortable and the sink doesn't hurt your neck! Definitely recommend! read more

I found a hair stylist GEM in Bozeman! I moved here in December and googled hairstylists and was so LUCKY to find Alexis. She LISTENS, and truly CARES about my concerns about my hair. She is truly a master colorist, and stylist. I love my highlights and LOVE how she styles my hair. This is a light, bright salon located close to downtown. It's also close to the high school for my son. I see Alexis here and she's great! Y'ALL! Danielle at Zuri is the BEST! I have been seeing her for the entire time I have lived in Bozeman - about 9 years - and she is the only person I trust to do my hair! She is so good about making my hair dreams a reality, from putting in temporary, bright colors, to adding feathers when that was in style, doing a seriously beautiful ombre, to cutting my hair to perfection when I am brave enough to try something new. I also really value and appreciate her honesty with me about my hair, if it is looking damaged, she really encourages me to trim it more often or to try different treatments in order to make it look healthier and for the color to stay better. I feel very comfortable with her if there is something I want changed, I can just communicate that with her and she is receptive to my opinion. I have been cutting my hair myself because I have had so many bad experiences with stylists cutting off too much. I went in for a cut; it was simple but perfect, boho mermaid long layers and long sideswept bangs; she knows what she is doing with technique, very well trained. I have been receiving exceptional service from Ellie for 2 years now and I was so excited to learn she was opening her own salon and hiring the best, most fashion forward stylists. I was very impressed with the new salon on my first visit and every visit since. I was offered coffee, soda, water. or a nice glass of wine while I relaxed in the waiting area. I was greeted by Ellie immediately and made to feel welcome and relaxed. She always pays attention to what I want to do with my hair and offers perfect expert advise on how to achieve the best look possible, the results are always head turning, fabulous! I wish there was an option for NO stars. I got my hair colored here a few week ago and it was probably the worst color job that I've ever had in my life. The lady who colored my hair blow-dried it and then curled it right away and I thought it looked iffy but it maybe had to grow on me. I went to the counter and paid $125 for something that I would soon find to be the worst flipping mistake I have ever made by choosing this salon. The next day I washed my hair and straighten it and saw that my highlights were not blended into my hair and it looked like I had an opposite ombre. The top of my hair was super blonde and the bottom of my hair was brown and where the two met it was not blended in at all, it looked horrible. Due to how unhappy I was with my hair I went to go to another salon in Bozeman a day later to try and salvage my hair. The new stylist that looked at my hair said that the lady from Zuri Salon has damaged my hair beyond belief and there's no way they could put dye in my hair without it all falling out and breaking. Needless to say I'm extremely unhappy with my hair and will never recommend Zuri Salon to anyone I know, nor will I be returning. If I were you I would save your money and stay far away from this Salon. read more
