I booked an appointment online, I got notification that my request was sent. Then I get an email a couple of days later that my appointment was canceled. It would be nice to actually. Talk to someone instead of having a generated email appointments, I don't recommend at all read more

I cancelled an appointment three weeks in advance. That was a week ago. I have not received a refund for my $30 deposit. I have called several times and even spoke to Deana, the owner, who acknowledged receiving my message and said she would refund it. Not a good way to do business. I will never book an appointment there again. read more

I was referred here after a bad experience at another salon. I paid a LOT of money for my haircut & Phil (? I think that's his name?) gave me the worst haircut of my life. There are so many salons in Bozeman, take my advice and go elsewhere. I have struck out twice in the 2 salons I've tried in Bozeman. For a place that calls itself "Bozeangeles" so far I'm not impressed with the hair salons. read more

Phil was awful! When I initially called the salon because I'm a fan of Aveda, he told me that he was "the best" because he travels as an Aveda educator and that I "should book with him because of his experience." I had the most awkward, cringe experience with him when I got to the salon. I'm a 23-year-old female and I think that he needs to stick with the over 70 clientele. My hair looks awful! I waited to post the review because I was so mad. He cut off 3" instead of the requested half inch, told me that he did what I asked, which wasn't true and was extremely uncomfortable for me. read more

I love them!! I always get the best haircuts, have seen a few hairdressers there and always get a great haircut!

I had just went through a very emotional time in my life with the loss of an unborn baby. My husband wanted to treat me to something special to get my mind off things. Being new to bozeman, I called around and found what seemed to be a very successful and reputable salon. I originally asked for a reverse ombré starting with red and fading to black. The hairstylist did not want to do that and told me I would like the traditional ombré better. This was supposed to be a dark black to "fire engine red". After she was finished I asked her to curl my hair and this is what I got. I paid the $135 and left in tears. I didn't even stay for a haircut, I was so upset. I would never recommend this salon to anyone. I called to voice my complaint of my Nike swoosh ombré and was told a manager would contact me, which never happened. Steer clear of this place! read more

We are in Bozeman for a few months and in great need of hair! I go to an Aveda salon at home so was looking for a place that suede Aveda...Lucky to find Moxie. Alexandra Leep did a fantastic job using the same color formula as my home-stylist. This place is friendly, warm and service wonderful. They were very conscious of COVID protocols. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Moxie read more

Whenever I need waxed I always go to Taylor at Moxie. I am extremely comfortable with any procedure she is doing when i'm there. The best part is every time she has always done quality work. Which being a guy is not always easy to find. read more

I had put off getting a haircut for over a year as I was having trouble finding a hair salon that didn't have that toxic energy. I finally came around to trying Moxie and I couldn't be happier! This salon is different from all the others in town! Megan Cody did a wonderful job trimming my hair, she was compassionate and easy to chat with. Not to mention I was thrilled with my haircut! read more

I stopped going to them because they raised their prices without telling me. I had been going here for 3 years and getting a hair trim for 30 bucks. My hair takes 10 mins to cut a few inches off and 20 mins to dry. And I had to pay 45 and even more with a tip last time I went. Absolutely ridiculous for 30 mins of service and just a trim. read more

I had a reservation here the afternoon I was supposed to leave town for my brother's wedding. My appointment was at 2:30 or something and I was supposed to pick up my husband at 4 and we were heading out of town. 10 minutes before my appointment (I had already parked and was walking in) my stylist called me and told me they were running an hour behind. Since I was already there I went in to see what could be done. The woman at the front desk gave me attitude - "You can't wait 45 minutes?" I was getting ready to leave town in winter in Montana. I could not wait 45, and I shouldn't have to be the one explaining myself. She handed me her card and said, "I hope you'll come back." Yeah, right. I went to Mastercuts and at least got my haircut. I won't go back. read more

We used Jade from Moxie Hair and Body as a hair stylist for our daughter's wedding. This was a destination wedding for us, so Jade did the hair trial for my daughter 2 days before the wedding at the beautiful salon. She was able to take the pictures we brought, listen to her ideas, and translate them into the perfect style. She was very flexible and patient and showed my daughter a few options while we were there, making sure that she was confident and happy with the results. She traveled to our venue and did the hair for the bridal party as well. Jade was on time, very professional, SO SWEET, and a joy to have around. My daughter's hair was perfect!!! The bridal party all looked amazing! I would be happy to recommend Jade and Moxie to anyone! read more

This is a wonderful salon. Darling decor, lots of natural light. They use all Aveda products so that is really nice. Danielle did an amazing job with my hair. She made great recommendations and offered some very helpful insight regarding my hair care regiment. She also started the experience with a scalp and shoulder massage which was just heavenly. I badly needed a haircut and I'm so glad I went to Moxie. Will definitely be returning. Thanks, Danielle! read more

Best haircuts and styles I've ever had have been from Deena at Moxie's Aveda salon. I've received compliments on my hair six weeks after it's been cut. read more

I went in for some long soft layers because my long, fine, natural blonde hair had gotten really dried out and I hadn't been to a salon in years due to traumatic injury... I was assured multiple times that I was "in good hands". However, once I got in the chair, Danielle did not seem to care about me at all. She went against all my wishes .. Very robotic and mechanical.. she did not listen to a word I said and she lied to my face, was too interested in what the other ladies were joking and laughing about to bother paying attention to me. She cut off the long length in the very back I asked to save, did not do any layering, and proceeded to give me the hottest, most intense blowout of my life, roughly pulling and heat straightening my fragile broken, naturally wavy hair .. cinged my ends and completely destroyed the health and texture of my beautiful long hair despite the fact I told her never heat style my hair! I think I was too traumatized to intervene.. this was a physical assault. I should have just stood up and stopped her insanity, but I thought I was in 'good hands'? I can't help but feel like she defied me deliberately to hurt me and in hindsight it felt very evil and psychopathic. Oh, and she tried to sell me some very drying shampoo/conditioner on top of it... So either she is severely incompetent or pathologically passive aggressive. I am devastated and heartbroken she thoroughly destroyed my hair and it's so awful I can't fathom it being accidental.. I am thinking this is case for lawsuit. When you take your car in for maintenance you don't expect them to mutilate it. I never anticipated such a basic life experience as a trim could be so very traumatic and it has caused me pretty severe Complex PTSD symptoms.. I tremble and feel like throwing up every time every time I see, touch or think about my hair, and it used to be one of my greatest comforts and a real joy. I never knew hair could feel this bad... It's mangled. I ordered a SplitEnder because it's so extremely trashed I don't know what to do, and it's just not acceptable. It will take years to get it back to how it was and after losing 7", it's in the worst shape of my life instead of feeling healthier. The owner's "solution" was to not touch it, look at it, play with it, or"pick at it"!? I have never had to pick at my hair. It's like dealing severe damage is normal to them and we just need to shut up and go away!? The levels of fraud, incompetence and negligence at play here are very eye opening. I will trim my own hair from now on. Somebody needs to take the sharp objects and fire away from these sadists and find some straightjackets for them! Unless you want your silky hair transformed into hideous pubes, stay away from this house of horrors!!! read more

My friend and I went to Moxie for nail/pedicures while visiting... had so much fun! Taylor and Danielle took excellent care of us, were friendly and a blast to chat with, and, of course, gave us wonderful mani/pedicures :-) When you are in Bozeman, make an appointment and ask for either of these two. You will NOT regret it! read more

I'm generally not a loyal hair stylist customer...it's always just ok. But Sarah at Moxi is one who I will be going back to as long as I'm in the area. She thoroughly explained why my hair did what it did (frizz, oils, etc) and what I could realistically do about it...and not in the typical sales person way. There was no pressure to buy anything. She then cut and styled my hair better than anyone before and also explained how I could easily and quickly style it myself. And to make it all even a bit better, it was a great price! I had a great experience, Sarah is an honest person, and I definitely recommend Moxi! read more
