I was referred by my brother who is a doctor to Dr Andrzej Torbus because I was in pain and needed to be seen right away for possible surgery, and a few other issues. I met with Dr. Torbus who I really like. He walked in with a smile and he was very upbeat each of the times I saw him for my appointments. I explained my issues and he addressed each and every one of them. I never felt rushed and I was given a through exam. Dr. Torbus put me at ease gave me samples of prescription medication to try. I had to go to LabCorp for further blood work then what was done in the office. Several days later I called Dr. Torbus's office because I wasn't quite sure when I went into the "My Chart" what my test results meant. Within two hours Dr. Torbus called me back and explained all of my test results to me and reassured me. The office staff has been very professional and compassionate. The MA's also are very kind. Dr. Torbus is a wonderful diagnostician. I found him to be professional, but also have a sense of humor. If your looking for a new primary care physician or just want to change, I highly suggest trying Dr. Torbus

This was a really great visit day with my adorable 89 year old mom-in-law. This lady is as sharp as…read morea tack in a petite and a little bit of a frail body. She will flat out tell you "I have no pains, why do I need a doctor". So we arrived today and go thru what everyone does at the first of the year...provide proof of insurance is the first thing the doctors office asks for...Ask an 89 year old woman this and the response is "Why"? Thankfully this is G's mom so he gets to deal with the stubborn parts of this issue, I get to stand back and be the angel of a daughter in law....which translates to being agreeable. After this insurance issue is handled its sit and wait time. Thankfully the wait time was in reason for what an 89 year old lady thought it should be. Whew! I was offered the chance to go back for the appointment, but I politely said it would be to many in a room so I would just wait in the very lovely waiting area. Patients went in one door to see the doctors and exited thru another door. The process seemed very streamlined and efficient. The wait for her to be finished seemed just about right for a doctor visit. She came out from the appointment with a smile but then said the doctor wanted her to exercise, which turned that smile to a bit of a snarly snicker. My response was, "well hes just trying to keep your muscles strong so you dont fall, and if you walked more maybe that would be good". The best neutral response I could give a stubborn little lady. We headed home with additional questioning of the new exercise routine. Whatcha gonna do??? Sometimes older people are just stuck in their ways, but thankfully a doctor with a great demeanor can persuade even the most stubborn of older ladies to exercise. Next check up in 4 months with and exercise plan in place. I might want to miss that visit.

https://myfamilycaremd.com…read more Family Care Medical Practice in Greenbrook, NJ have been my family's favorite physicians for the past 21 years. All of the Physicians, Nurses, and Clinical Staff always greet you with a smile, and sincerely wish to help you to regain your health, for you and your family member's current ailments. This team of professionals have been employed by Family Care for many years and you will be able to establish a rapport with the Doctors. You and your family will be treated as valued guests/clients and will not be reduced to just a number on a chart. The owner of the practice, Dr. Chafos is an excellent Physician; kindly, patient, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Personally, I have been a patient of Dr. John Chafos' since before Family Care opened, more than 25 years ago. The medical care and compassion from the entire staff, their attention to detail and overall positive outcomes can not be matched by other medical practices in the area. This facility is quiet and calm and suitable for all age groups, especially children, Seniors and people with special needs. The consultation rooms for individual patients are private, comfortable and always clean. And the office is open for walk-ins all day long, beginning very early in the morning into the late evening hours. It is nice to have the flexibility to visit when the time is right for you. A variety of testing techniques are available (Bloodwork, X-ray, urinalysis, on-site testing for flu/Covid/pneumonia, etc.), popular vaccines are available to be administered. ( Even the Shingles vaccine is available and recommended for individuals over 50.) In addition, a professional Phlebotomist from LabCorp is always on staff. Please, bear in mind, patience is a virtue, this is a well-loved medical practice and you may have a wait time to be seen by the Doctor of your choice on the day of your visit. Happily, there are usually 3-4 Doctors in the office at any given moment, and a multitude of Nursing staff as well. These factors will reduce your overall time spent on your visit. In addition, the Family Care website lists the Doctors on staff for that particular day and location, as well as the schedule for the next following days, so you may best plan out your day. This facility is wheelchair accessible and if you need assistance entering the building, a quick call to the front desk will have a Staff member coming directly out to assist you into the building. A large, off-street parking lot is in available. I have been on a weight loss program under Dr. Chafos' and Dr. Klele's care for the past four years, (without weight-loss medication, but the newer specialized medications may be made available to you if you meet certain criteria). Since Spring of 2019, I have lost more than 100 lbs. or 40% of my body weight, reduced my waist by more than 14 inches, reduced my body fat by 14% and reduced my BMI from 44 to 27 and went from severely obese to almost "normal" BMI. (I am now a size 10, after having lost 9 Jean sizes!!!) During the course of this diet loss program, I reversed my pre-diabetes into a perfect 5.0 A1c! I am currently 19 lbs from goal and will likely make that goal weight before the end of this year, 2023. It has been a long, but fruitful journey and my health has only improved during this time. (If you are in a similar situation, and do not know where to begin, please speak with one of the Doctors, please know they will help you.) If you are seeking a team of Dedicated Doctors and healthcare professionals whom will listen to your needs and concerns, then I do recommend that you visit and consult with one of the many available Doctors (all long-term employed) and plan of a course of action to coordinate your return to excellent health. I hope this message finds you well, but if you are not well, be assured there are still Doctors in the world who want to help you. PS There is also a satellite office located in Hillsborough, NJ!

Long story short-- I had been going to the same doctor since I was 15 (Dr. Thomas Angelo of Bernardsville-- my late mother used to say, "If only all doctors were as good...."), he had retired, and I needed a new one. Dr. Postighone was suggested as a possible replacement by a friend, and he's been my regular doctor ever since. He has 2 offices-- in Stirling and Florham Park-- and is always busy, and yet his manner is consistently down-to-earth and compassionate. My major medical problem (up to now, anyway) is migraine headaches, which I've suffered from since the age of 9. As a migraine sufferer himself, Dr. Postighone is particularly in tune with what I suffer through and his suggestions regarding medication have helped spare me much unncecessary pain and suffering. In all matters where I've needed medical treatment or diagnosis (migraines, physicals, shingles, hemachromatosis...I've got the gene for it but not the disease itself..., mysterious blood spots in my eye, high cholesterol, etc.), Dr. Postighone has been cutting edge, well versed in knowledge and experience, patient, and...perhaps most importantly...kind. A good bedside manner, in and of itself, doesn't really mean much (not to me, anyway), but when you match it with skill and dedication, it makes for a winning combination. Dr. Postighone has all these attributes, and is highly recommended.
