My husband and I have been going to Z's twice a month for the last year, and they do a fantastic job. We each have our favorite therapists (his is Nancy, mine is Yuyu) but all of them are great. They ask where you need specific work, the amount of pressure you'd like, and you walk out feeling relaxed and "put back together." The hours are great, and the pricing so reasonable. My fiance & I came here for our anniversary and wanted to get a couple's massage. The massage therapists started to direct us to separate rooms but when we asked if it was possible to have our massages in the same room they looked confused and then guided us to a very small room with two massage tables extremely close to each other. We were told to undress and we chose to keep our underwear on. As I was laying on my table, I could feel the other massage therapists repeatedly brushing against my arm because there was so little space for them to work and it was very distracting. On top of that, the music is very low and the rooms have a few inches of open space between them at the top of the partition walls and we could hear the man in the next room very loudly enjoying his massage (if that's all that was going down..) which again, was very distracting. My masseuse asked me if I had any problem areas and I told her I'd like to focus on my shoulders and neck, as I carry a lot of my stress there and that part went fine. It wasn't until she started massaging my lower back that I really questioned what kind of establishment this is. Firstly, she straddled my legs to massage my butt and literally pulled cheeks out of my underwear which made me feel very uncomfy and lingered there for quite some time. I was too embarrassed to look over at my fiance but he told me afterwards that his masseuse straddled the back of his head to massage his lower back and was folding him up like a pretzel and also massaged VERY close to his private bits. Mid session, they both stopped the service to push/pull his massage table a few inches. Again, distracting. They also used the hot stones on our backs which were scalding hot and that didn't feel great until probably 1-2 minutes after they cooled. After the massages were done, my fiance went to pay and when he applied the tip, his masseuse made a show of looking, making a disgusted/insulted face and saying "For both?". He left a 20% tip which is honestly more than I would have tipped for the service we received and he said "Yes. $190 is 20%." to which she smiled and said "$200 is better." I still can't believe the audacity. Anyway, safe to say- we won't be back. Their prices are good but I question their qualifications and would not be surprised if they offer "other services" iykyk... the haggling over the tip was the last straw. Will be going to Serenity Spa next time. read more

the staff here is SO sweet! I'm 7 months pregnant and my mom took me to Z's Massage for my birthday and it was such a great experience. The space was clean, relaxing, and comfortable. They were very communicative the whole time, checking in on pressure and making sure I was positioned comfortably for pregnancy, which I really appreciated. The massage itself was amazing and such high quality, my mom got deep tissue and said it was perfect! When we were finished and paying, they congratulated me on my pregnancy and surprised me with a See's Candies chocolate box, this was the sweetest gesture that absolutely made my day!! First time here! I was very excited for a massage. The place is very small, probably like 6 rooms... the room that we went in has 2 cheap beds, one hot and one cold. I chose the hot one and left the cold one to my husband. The wall was kind of dirty and it was super dark (had to use the my phone's flash).. I can hear people speaking and even my mom and sister (next room) when they were chatting lol The service was good, the ladies asked us how we want light, medium or super strength massage.. we chose medium strength. My husband felt asleep! The massage was good some part and some part for me was a little painful but overall not bad. Down side, the room's wall were dirty (maybe should spend some time to repaint it or clean it up) the rooms were super dark, but you can see spots. I've probably gotten 15 or more massages here over the years. Never had a bad experience, honestly my only feedback would be that it would be nice if the music was up just a little bit louder sometimes it's harder to hear so it's not quite as relaxing. Other than that everybody's friendly and never had any issues. Massage quality is good cleanliness seems good as well! I called to schedule an appointment with them, even though it's last minute, they took me in. I had the one hour massage. The staff are super friendly, they made sure that I'm comfortable. After having three perfect experiences here over the last couple of months, I thought that I should write a nice review. But, though most other reviews were positive, I was shocked to see that ANY of the reviews were negative (in fact, I wonder if they're even real). I had three different masseuses in three different rooms. All three women were friendly and professional. They asked about my issues and addressed them with perfect techniques and pressure. All of the rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. Plus, there are towel warmers in every room, so the women never had to leave the room. Obviously, I highly recommend this place! read more

I wish Chloe would open a Z's Massage in Denver where we live when we're not staying with family in Roseville! I was initially concerned that my therapist had minimal English but it wasn't a problem at all. My husband had a health issue he needed to explain and his therapist went and got Chloe to make sure it was perfectly clear. Also the low English proficiency might actually be a benefit in this way: in daily life I'm a total "Chatty Cathy." During a massage I want zero unnecessary talking. So the language barrier may actually contribute to the calm and quiet atmosphere. At one point my therapist had to cough and sneeze so she quickly and quietly slipped out of the room which I very much appreciated. Finally, I have one issue and one observation: The ISSUE for me (and my husband) was the "head-hole" which is built into the bed as opposed to a separate extension. It was hard to get comfortable in it. I'm not sure what to do about that because you're on your stomach for quite awhile. The OBSERVATION is that the room is very dark when you're undressing and then getting dressed afterwards. I thought I had lost an earring. My therapist came back with a light she plugged in. I found the earring (yay!) but while looking, I thought the carpet area needed vacuuming as we'll as picking up small pieces of debris. PS: I'll be back. Please don't tell our daughter (who thinks our sole purpose in coming to Roseville is to be with their wonderful family) that our future visits' main attraction may well be to return to Z's Massage! First time trying a massage place in Roseville. I usually go to Happy Day Spa in Sacramento. We did a 60 minutes body massage. They have couples rooms. They placed us in one with a small bed for cold and a larger one for hot. It was dark and wasn't too sure how clean it was. The two ladies came in to give us instructions. We got undressed down to our underwear and we get covered with a thin blanket, then the ladies came back to start the massage. They asked us how hard we want it, soft, medium, or hard. I tried the medium. The massage was so relaxing that I fell asleep. Room was small that every so often I feel someone bumping my arm. They will let you know when to turn around. Great place if you need a massage in Roseville. The staff is friendly and I was pleased with the massage. read more

A coworker of mine went to get a massage at Z's Massage and boy, she has so many AMAZING things to said about this massage place. Tina was the one that took care of her. My coworker said that she opted for a 30 minutes massage and Tina still made it seem like a 60 minutes service. She spent time on her legs and feet as well as the rest of the body. With such great review from my coworker, I decided to give this place a shot as I badly needed a massage. I typically go once a month so I know my massages. I asked for Tina and she delivered!!!! Mine was a 60 minutes massage. Typically with the Chinese massage therapists, they have strong hands. I asked for medium-hard pressure and it didn't hurt like some other Asian massage places that I have been where you silently screaming on the inside and hoping for it to stop soon. It has about 2 months since I gotten my monthly massage. The knots on my shoulders are gone (for now) and she spent some good minutes on my legs and feet. She also uses her hands/fingers a lot versus her elbow which I am not a fan of. I feel much lighter after the massage! I highly recommend this place!!! read more

I've been to several massage places around Roseville and Sacramento, they've all been at least decent, some really great. This was by far the best massage I've ever had. Ella was my masseuse, and her technique is flawless. My back gets extremely stiff (especially in my shoulders and shoulder blades) and I always need deep tissue massages, and often the masseuse has trouble really using as much pressure as is needed to loosen my muscles. Her techniques were like magic, she was able to really dig into the muscles in my back, and she always hit the perfect spot. I don't remember the last time my back felt this good. If possible I will definitely be requesting her in the future. read more

I wish they had told me cash payment is preferred when I called to make the appointment b/c I only had a credit card and this seemed to annoy the woman during the payment transaction. Regarding the massage, i appreciate that she gave massage for the entire 60 min, she used variety of techniques including hot stones & focused on my problem areas. I have had about 100 massages in my life & formally trained massage therapist usually do a specific sequence to remove toxins along the lymphatic system & ensure symmetry in their attention to muscle groups. This therapist was random & all over the place & only did one of my feet while ignoring the other. It was not unpleasant, just different. In the end I did feel good. Didn't really bother me cuz I don't know the different types anyway. I just knew that I prefer a hard massage to point where I'm sore from the massage!! And she delivered!
