Before my appointment was even over, I asked if we could rebook the same time with the same therapists for next weekend -- especially after hearing my husband say it was the best massage he had ever received. I felt exactly the same way. What impressed me most about Hon was how intuitive the massage was. She could actually feel where I was holding tension and follow it through my body instead of just working through a standard massage routine. There were areas where the pressure was uncomfortable because of how tight I was, but she never felt overly aggressive or like she was just trying to use as much pressure as possible. She worked into the tension until I could actually feel it begin to release. That is exactly what I have been looking for and haven't found elsewhere. This isn't the traditional luxury-spa experience with robes, elaborate amenities and chocolate-covered strawberries. If that's what you're looking for, there are plenty of places that specialize in that experience. But if what you really want is an exceptionally skilled massage therapist who understands the body and knows how to find and work through areas of tension, this place is a hidden gem.
