The last stop of my solo tapas tour in Marbella... I have been loving all the Spanish Pintxos (Small bites) along the way but at some point I was craving a substantial snack Americana stylé, aka pizza.. a number of restos in the area serve pizzas and were quite tempting.. but I wanted to stick with the higher quality joints I had been frequenting. Marbella is well known as a tourist destination on the Costa del Sol and the old town is a bit of a tourist magnet. I'm always a little wary of restaurants in tourist traps as they can turn out to be disappointingly generic However, as I was meeting a friend for dinner, Zozoi seemed a good choice despite being in the heart of the old town as it offered a variety of dishes. It was certainly pulling in the crowds when we arrived and service was a little slow but to be fair, the place was full. The atmosphere was casual but at the smart casual end of casual We decided on a plate of mixed starters, which was so big that it arrived on 2 plates - Thai crab fishcakes, caramelised ribs, tempura prawns, arancini, stuffed mushrooms, hummus and Zozoi tartare. Yup, sounds like a, 80 days round the world sort of dish! I think this was actually the best part of our meal with my favourites being the zingy tartare and crunchy tempura fresh prawns My friend had the smoked haddock, new potatoes, leeks, soft poached egg and grain mustard sauce. Nice but she found the mustard sauce a little overpowering I went for the pan fried calves liver with shallot sauce and mash potato. I love liver and this didn't disappoint Although there are better restaurants in Marbella, this isn't a bad spot if you fancy some international cuisine read more

We had a nice meal in this restaurant. We chose the menu which was three courses for a very good value of 15 € and very fresh. The pizza was also nice but not very special compared to the menu of the day! It's a very cozy place in the middle of the old town! read more

We went to Zozoi for the first time in 2016 and were charmed by food quality, service and friendliness of personal in the heart of touristic centre of Marbella. Yes, the prices are somewhat higher but in this place you can be sure of quality. It did happen to us to get spoilt seafood accompanied by variety of unpleasant consequences in other spots nearby with slightly lower prices. So I vote for healthy holidays. We came back this year too and we're not disappointed; I am sure we'll pay Zozoi another visit during our stay. Mojitos are obligatory to try: full of fresh mint, a very fine taste. You get a small treat from the chef of pizza pastry snack with house made source as well as tasty olive oil and balsamic. Very nice restaurant/cafe. Recommended to us by another American family in our hotel they went twice). Front seating allowed us to people watch (back patio seating not as nice and no view). Prices reasonable and the waitresses were friendly and helpful. Family had seafood dishes (eg lobster) and I had baby back ribs. Good portion sizes. Goat cheese salad excellent. Both white and red wine bottles good and reasonably priced (20 and 25 Euros). read more

Top of the range Restaurant, excellent quality but top price. I have no hesitation reccommending it, a friend went there four nights out of seven! It is European food as you would get in London restaurants, with plenty of local food. There is a courtyard for sunny evenings. Booking is essential as it's fairly small. Not only my best meal in 7 days in Europe (3 in Paris, 4 in Marbella), the service was awesome. I can't say enough about our server as she was friendly, helpful and simply put, awesome. This is a must!! Try the Filet. read more

We went on a Sunday night and it was not very busy. There was a small wait staff and one large party of 8 or so. They took a lot of the staffs attention so we didn't have the fastest service but it was very good. The food was wonderful. We both had fish. They cleaned my wife's fish for her. It is served as a whole fish. We both agreed that the food was wonderful. We are on the patio out back which was a little chilly. They had heaters but sitting inside may have been a better choice. read more

Sat outside at Zozoi on a Monday night 10pm seating. Service was attentive and consistent. We shared the mixed appetizer platter which was delicious (especially the tapenade). Risotto with lobster tail was terrific. Scallops were a little bland but still ok. Overall a good value and safe bet meal. read more

Dinner in this pretty courtyard tucked away in the old town was worth every penny (or rather centimes). Food was lovely, I will be back but bokking ahead is essential or you'll have to find a backup plan at the last minute. read more
