Dirty unhygienic self tanning booths. Empty barrier cream dispenser lotion is empty, no paper towels. I worried about getting athletes foot from unclean booth. It is expected that the customers clean the booth but they only give one tiny paper towel so it's not possible. This review is based on several visits to the Venice location to tell you. read more

I have been tanning at this salon for years because of convenience. Time and time again I tan for a full 9 minutes and get no color what-so-ever. I haven't tanned in over 6 weeks due to COVID still not one ounce of color for a full 9 minutes; 9 minutes on untanned skin would burn. I have been tanning off and on for over 30 years and even managed a tanning salon for a few years in my 20's. They are either using low-quality bulbs are are not changing them as often as they should (or both). I have tanned 4/5 times at their salons on Clark Rd in Sarasota and Charlotte county salons. This is a completely different experience. You get great color each time and using different beds. Maybe they don't feel that people over 55 deserve the same quality product even though their money holds the same monetary value. I have talked with many of the nice staff that have worked here over the years and they all say basically the same thing. The company forgets about Venice. Time to find a real salon that values all customers equally. read more

I usually don't post reviews but this was the worst spray tan I have ever had. I have been getting spray tans for the past 3 years and am familiar with the VersaSpa booth so I decided to try Zoom Tan yesterday while on my vacation in Sarasota. Although they use the same booth model that I have used in the past at home, this booth was definitely "well used" and looked a bit beat up. But it's the actual spray tan that I'm upset about. The spray was uneven and looked over saturated in areas so there's dark streaks and under saturated in other areas where there's little to no color at all. I feel like I paid $30 for absolutely nothing. I plan to exfoliate completely today and just go without a spray tan until I am at home. Save yourself money and aggravation and skip this tanning salon. read more

I purchased a six pack spray tan and continued to purchase text offers. I went in the other day and said I didn't have a six pack because isn't wasn't used up in that year. now they want me to buy more just to get my six pack back I already paid for. Poor customer service. I guess I didn't cancel my monthly membership the correct way ( I'm a snow bird and can only use it 4 month) so I was charged for 3 months, my fault. I did finally put a bank stop on it. When I returned to start it up again I was told I'd have to pay $50 us buy a year pass, $300! I'm only here 4 months. I explained the issue. I understand now how to properly cancel on line but they would not budge. I guess they don't need or want the business. read more

This is a fantastic place to go get a natural, even, fast tan! The team that work there are always so nice and welcoming and helpful with questions too. I have been a patron of the Venice Zoom Tan since they opened. I just today signed up for ANOTHER YEAR! Never had any issues. Staff has always been accommodating and knowledgeable about products and tanning. I love being able to go straight into a room. I had encountered twice having to wait for a room. Contrary to older reviews, I have not experienced any issues tanning at this location. It is clean and the staff is very friendly. My only issue is with their corporate office. I never receive texts about their specials and after 2 requests from the salon I called customer service myself. The rep said I should be receiving the texts but they are randomly generated so not everyone receives every notification. This is ridiculous and if it is true it is a terrible way to run a business. Why wouldn't you want as many customers as possible to know about your specials so they can tell their friends?! read more

This is the best tanning place I've been too in a while. They are very helpful and informative. The girl behind the counter, Marissa, is always so bubbly, nice, and helpful. The prices are great for the services so I would definitely recommend this and any other Zoom Tan to anyone looking for a professional tanning company. Would rate 10 stars if I could! read more

Don't waste your time and money on this zoom tan location. The facility is filthy and the bulbs are dated, past their hours. I've called zoom tans 1877 and spoke with a few different people about these issues. Nothing has been changed or fixed. Canceling my membership today. Thanks a lot SCAM tan! read more

Customer service is great! I use the spray tan and love it! No chance of skin cancer and I've got a great looking tan!

Started yesterday..the booths were very clean, the woman at the counter was very helpful and professional. 10 min in the UV booth (so hot, might not need to go in for so long every time) and "double dipped" for an additional $2 to get a level 2 spray, Came out with a crazy deep tan (maybe even too dark for me). So if you are looking for the spot to get a solid tan, hit up Zoomtan, you won't be disappointed! read more

This place is a SCAM!! They charge for a run down salon. The restrooms are never in order.The clerk recommended I get dressed and walk to the end of the strip mall to use the restroom. I'm severely disabled with crippling RA. They continued to charge me 2 months..100.00 .. NOT A FULL FUNCTIONING SALON.People with disabilities should NEVER be treated like this. Noone should. Close the doors and stop stealing people's money!!!! read more

The tanning beds are not clean. The tanning beds ALWAYS HAVE at least one lamp out. The last rim I was there before xmas there was 3 lamps out in 3 of the 4 black beds. read more

Marisa at zoom tan Venice is fantastic. I spray tanned today and was nervous I would end up like Ross on friends but she calmed me down and gave me a full tutorial on the actual service. Most of the ladies at Zoom aren't the friendliest but she made me feel at ease. Promote this girl!! read more

Don't waste your money this company does not care about their customers! I canceled my membership. It's all about signing you up selling you a package and then they do not care about anything....dirty floors in spray rooms, extra cash for every little thing even a hair-net. They now water down the lotion and don't ask for an extra paper towel. read more
