Started tanning at this location January 8th. 4 days had to move to different rooms as bulbs were out. No idea when they will get bulbs for replacement. Only one room has all bulbs working, that I know of. Frustrating as a customer. Curious what Zoom Tan will respond. read more

Usually there are two blonde girls in there that are always so sweet and remember me and what I want without asking. For background, I pay $60 per month for a spray tan membership and I get a level two instant. I asked for a level one instant this time. This older woman with glasses, a nose piercing and brown hair was working for context. I get into my car after my session and see a $5 charge. She charged me for a rapid when all I verbally asked for was the bump my level two instant down to a level one instant. $5, okay fine, but it becomes a problem when I pay $60 per month for cheap shitty looking versapro chemicals and did NOT ask to pay another $5. Went back in asking what this was all about, and tried telling me it's because I got rapid and I corrected her saying no, I asked to bump my regular 2 instant down to a 1 INSTANT...and was b**chy to me and I just walked out, i'm not going to argue with a rude employee over $5. I'll be driving far for another location moving forward if my favorite blonde girls are not in there because i'm not being scammed. read more

Only reviewing spray tanning equipment since I don't UV tan (and you shouldn't either!). As I've said in other Zoom Tan location reviews that I've done, I don't like Zoom Tan as a company (they keep closing the locations that are close to me) but it's what we've got (and is only $20 bucks a month so really what do I want, right?) so let's make the best of it. This location is located next to the newly opened Dollar General. It is generally easy to get in and out of (ample parking in the front of the store). The spray equipment is older Versa Spa rather than my beloved Norvel equipment that used to be at the Sweet Home Road location (now closed). Rooms are generally clean, equipment usually working, and little to no wait when there isn't a promotion going on. Staff I've encountered have been friendly (there isn't much interaction, however...phone number, finger scan, what level do you want, here you go, room #...). Sometimes they will mention sales/promotions or try to upsell you on primer, clean feet etc. but again, not usually a hard sell, just an ask. Overall, fine for what it is. No cash accepted. read more

The customer service provided by Zoom Tan was horrid. I signed up online for a membership for the first time since 2021 when apparently I had an outstanding balance. I was told to call customer service, which I did. Customer service was unable to help me and gave me an email to reach out to. Upon reaching out to this email I was told I could not return unless paying $400 for a yearly membership along with paperwork. I would have gladly paid my outstanding balance but that was not an option. I had also signed up online with no issues prior to going to the salon only to find this information out after the fact. Not sure why I was able to restart a membership online if all of this was the case. Ridiculous. read more

Tanning is bad for you. But, if you're not the brightest bulb in the tanning booth, like me, then this is a good place to tan. I have been coming to this Zoom Tan for about a year and a half. I only UV tan, so I can't speak to spray tanning. All of the UV tanning is booth-style here, no beds. That's fine by me, I won't use a bed. There are about 8 private rooms for UV tanning. They are small, clean and private. The booths are hot and bright. In the summer I tan once, maybe twice a week, for just five minutes at a time. In the winter, I go a two or three times a month. That's plenty to keep my pasty Polish skin just the right amount of a seasonally-appropriate glow. The staff is always friendly and expedient. Sometimes they try to up-sell me lotions, but they are never pushy when I say no. Once in a while I have to wait for a booth, but the vast majority of the time I get right in. It's walk-in only, no appointments are taken or necessary. When I signed up, I got a promotional deal for new customers; $9.99 per month for unlimited UV tanning, up to six minutes per session. It's a great deal that works for me, since I'm not a heavy tanner. Also very smart on Zoom Tan's part because no matter how often I go, I'll probably never cancel because I don't want to lose my deal. So I'll be going here forever. Or at least until I'm shriveled up like a raisin, from age and/or tanning, whichever comes first. read more

We all know tanning is bad, but in Buffalo the sun doesn't shine some months. I decided to get a pick me up and some color. They have a cancel anytime unlimited package for under $20 a month. There were plenty of other packages to pick from as well. Having never been to zoom tan before it took me a little time to get started and the sales agent was very patient, upbeat and helpful. They only have stand up booths so if you're looking to lay down you'll have to pick a different tanning salon. The place was clean. A must for tanning. Music was poppy and upbeat. Overall a great experience for quick sunshine. For those less interested in the UV booths, they also have spray tan packages available! read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE TANNING @ THIS LOCATION!!! Absolutely disgusting more than once have I gone to this location and the Rooms have been filthy you go and try and find someone and no one is to be found! Actually twice in a row, that's the only reason I took pictures! Yes that's human hair and some kind of lotion on the floor! I tried to contact the complaint department it is an absolute joke. All I wanted was some type of compensation for both times the rooms looked like they weren't cleaned for the entire day. Which I'm sure was the case. If you're going to go go to transit road location. You're customer service is horrible simply asking for compensation when I have the picture they absolutely refused and said something like will won't be threatened of you posting pictures extremely rude and annoying. Bottom line this location is absolutely disgusting beyond words!!! If I could give you a zero I would. Hours and hours wasted with customer service just to be insulted. Spray tan is always broken. My membership ends in August and it's not worth the frustration anymore and they all stay there like we know but nothing we can do. I don't even argue anymore because the people ahead of me in line do it for me. read more

I decided to try zoom tan because they had a coupon for a $5 spray tan. I figured it was worth a shot even though every other spray tan I have ever gotten ended in disaster. My skin is super pale and the tan was always streaky or orange. I love zoom tan spray tans! I was in 3 weddings this past year so I decided to pay for a membership. I originally was paying $30 a month for unlimited spray and unlimited uv tanning. I never uv tan because I'm allergic. I've had this membership for about a year and every time I wanted to upgrade to a level 2 I would spend a few extra dollars. Last week someone finally stopped and asked me if I used uv. I said no. She told me that I could pay the same amount and be able to get any level of spray tan at any time. My only complaint would be that no one mentioned this to me for an entire year. What a great deal! I get level 2 instant (then you can blend if there are any sketchy patches). I wait until the next day, when possible, to shower. The tans last for a few days. It is the first time in my entire life that people tell me how tan I am and I owe it to zoom. read more

I honestly don't even know where to start!! When I found out that all the total tans were being taken over by zoom tan I was disappointed to say the least but figured I'd give it a shot. I chose this location as it is the closest to my house and most convenient for me. The pricing is fine and the package deals are very cheap monthly but that's not the problem. The booths are very strong and hot!! When you walk into the salon, you are instantly hit with hot, humid, almost unbearable air!! I honestly feel bad for the workers that they have to work in those conditions!! When you are actually in your room and standing in your tiny, cage like, tanning booth the heat just feels damaging and torturous to your skin! I understand the bulbs are strong and the salon prides themselves on this but COME ON get a better ventilation system or some AC in there so I don't feel like i'm being cooked alive after 3 minutes!! The metal floor of the booth gets so hot that you can't even stand on it. It really makes for a very uncomfortable experience. Okay, on to my next issue. This place is just down right filthy! One lesson they did not adopt from Total Tan was obviously cleanliness. The owner should be embarrassed and ashamed! When I go to a tanning salon and enter my room, I do not want any evidence that hundreds of other people have used the same room as me! I expect a clean, comfortably room in which I feel comfortable removing my clothes and standing bare foot in. The bare tile floors are covered in dirt, dried lotion, hair and just sludge! Seriously, do not stand on them without flip flops or some sort of foot ware. They look like they have never been swept or mopped. There is dried lotion smeared all over the walls that never gets cleaned off. The floor length mirrors in each room are constantly covered in lotion hand prints and smears. There is always long hair tangled in the cage that covers the tanning bulbs. The only good thing I have to say about this place is that the workers are always very polite and friendly! I am beyond disappointed with this company. I went in with a coupon for a buy one get one free spray tan on April 27th, when I arrived I had to sign in on a sheet since there were so many people there and one of their machines had just malfunctioned. Being my first time using one of these coupons they sent out, other than the free spray tan you get after signing up, I wasn't surprised that they were so packed when I had got there. After waiting and being called up, i inquired about the primer coating and the girl explained it was a $2 up charge, which I was okay with. When I went back on Monday may 8th to redeem my free spray tan I was then told that there was no free spray tan. But when The girl who was working went into my account to try to figure out what had happened, she noticed that whoever was working had charged me for a full spray tan and never gave me the promotion. When contacting customer service shortly after leaving zoom tan, after not wanting to pay for another full price spray tan, I had talked to someone on the phone named Tammy from Florida who said she would call me back and see what she can do.. which she never did. So I called again the next day, the same # and spoke with Tammy for a second time. She explained that they had gone through some footage and since I didn't say the word "coupon" and didn't present the coupon they had massive sent out that day, that there there was nothing they could do and that they weren't going to give me a free spray tan.How does someone read lips over a security camera? That night I decided to cancel my zoom tan membership and I will NEVER be returning and telling about my experience, just in case your a new client and doesn't know to show them the coupon. read more

Stephanie in customer service is AWFUL! Very snippy and rude. Put me on hold in the middle of me talking while trying to get information about a certain location. I told her about the reviews saying that the spray tan machines are always down and I was wanting to make sure that they are working because I need to spray tan next week before my wedding. She fought me over and over when I asked if she could call them to verify that they are both in service. She also told me "I can't predict the future and tell you if they'll be working next week or not." Obviously I know she can't predict the future, but she could have called the location I was asking about without me having to try to convince her to 5 times and could have been more encouraging about them working next week. I have been dating for 20 years. Zoom tan is the worst Tierney experience I have ever endured and my whole life. Of course I bought the year membership. Because it's cheaper or so you would think. You're standing in a metal box with high intensity bulbs that don't stop. People use the salon all day long it's 3000° inside that metal box. I have to stand on my sneakers, you can't stand on the metal floor. it's a horrible experience . I miss the beds there's no more relaxing try to go to this place you might as well throw your money out the window read more

I purchased my first membership for $9.99 for the month. To be clear only went because Total Tan & Tan Lines are no longer in business. The back room where the booths are, is extremely to hot. There is no ventilation of any kind the moment you step in. The room where the booths are, exactly the same. Its almost as if the booths run 24/7, which makes it impossible to stay standing inside for the entire time. The metal floors have no air pushing through, & feel like its boiling by the end of the session. I walk out every time feeling a little light headed. Makes me wonder how the workers can stand working their shifts. The positive side, I do feel like I am getting tan, the workers are polite & bulbs are doing their job. All for a great price. read more
