Out of the 4 month long packages I purchased over three years, I have only been there to tan less than 10 times. This is because my usual experience goes like this: I walk in full of moxy and enthusiasm. "This month, i'm going to do it right!" I say to myself. I walk in. I buy a month long membership for 20 or 30 dollars with their awesome student discount. I ask the lady at the counter "hey, how long do you think I should go in for? I'm pretty pale." at this point, she goes into a trance, and consults her star charts in her memory mansion, sees where Mars aligns with Jupiter, subtracts it by 3, and doubles it if it's under 10. That is how good she is at telling you how long to go in for. I have been going here for 3 years on and off and have bought month long memberships 4 times. Over these four months of memberships over 3 years, I have only been able to tan approx. 10 times. Because every single time I go in, I ask the same girl at the counter "how long do ya think I oughta go in for?" and she sets me up for what she thinks is right. Every time I walk out feeling great. Every time I end up looking like I got stranded naked in the desert for a week. So here I am, on the first day of my month long membership, burned again on my first day after 7 minutes in the strongest type booth. She saw my blonde hair and green eyes. She saw how pale I was in the dim basement light. She gave me 7 minutes, which was twice more than I could take. 4 hours later, red as a beet, my night is ruined, I hope my week isn't. Thanks, whats-her-name, just continue to talk to that really bronze old dude.

When I compared the before and after pictures from a year ago to today, I was blown away. And the real kicker: It looks natural. I now no longer trust anyone else. I attempted to contact the makeup beauty parlour directly and was talked down to and told it wasn't their problem and to contact her directly...well ya if I could get some sort of response I would. I have tried to schedule with 3 other places that won't go over this work. So I'm stuck I plan to further file complaints and look into my options. Sad customer service.

I had a Groupon for a 60 minute teeth whitening session (three 20 min sessions) for $96, normally…read more~$175. I made my appointment over the phone easy peasy and located it easily in the Eastern Hills Mall. I was greeted very warmly by part owner Michelle even though I was about 5 minutes late. Michelle was very kind, informative, and attentive during the entire appointment. Each session consists of wearing this plastic apparatus that keeps your mouth open and your teeth dry and exposed. You don red safety goggles and are guided in applying the whitening agent to your smile. A small heat lamp with a timer is then placed in front of your mouth for 20 min at a time. The heat potentiates the action of the whitening solution. After each session you take out the apparatus (careful, drool), rinse your mouth, and take a break. After the first session I noticed a lift in stains but it wasn't until after the second session that I really noticed a difference. After the third session I was positively glowing. My teeth whitened 8 shades in 60 min and I couldn't be happier with the results. *Bonus they gave me a free whitening pen to use for touch ups* Hints: 1. Brush your teeth before your appointment 2. You cannot eat or drink anything but water for 2 hours after your appointment so plan ahead. 3. The "White Diet" (foods that are light or white in color) is recommended for 24-48 hours after your appointment, (chicken, turkey, white pasta, cottage cheese, potatoes etc). So plan accordingly. 4.Tooth sensitivity is expected 24-72 hours following the session and Sensodyne is recommended. It is 48 hours post my appointment and two of my teeth are a tiny bit sensitive right now. 5. Buy straws to drink everything out of, this takes the liquid past your teeth to avoid staining. 6. Buy some white wine, stick a straw in it, and celebrate how awesome you look.
