Every time we drive through those gates, it feels like stepping into a different rhythm -- slower, softer, and full of heart. There's a calm that settles over me the moment I arrive, like all the noise of everyday life fades into the background. For a few precious hours, time seems to stand still. We spend our visits surrounded by the most amazing animals, each with their own story and personality. The people who care for them are just as special -- kind, genuine, and truly devoted to every creature on the farm. They always greet us by name, take time to chat, and make our son feel like part of their family. He loves to feed the sheep, who are so patient and gentle with him. I love learning each animal's name and backstory -- it makes every visit feel personal and deeply grounding. If you ever feel weighed down by the world, this is the place to go. It's impossible to leave without feeling lighter, calmer, and a little more connected to what really matters. And as a bonus -- they grow the most delicious fruits and vegetables right there on the farm, fresh from the earth that gives this place so much life. If you are looking for a special place to take your family, I highly recommend it!

First off it's huge and you are allowed to feed and pet ALL of the animals! They have so much to see! Cows, pigs, camels, and even a zebra!! I never thought in my life I'd pet a zebra, this experience is just incredible! They even have turkeys and peacocks that roam and even came up to us for some food! All of the animals were super friendly and adorable. We even saw the smallest mini horse ever that was so cute. There are also cats that roam the property and one of them followed us throughout the whole place. Can you ask for a cuter tour guide?! They also grow their own produce and sell eggs. We picked and cut our own pumpkins and left with some duck eggs as well! Overall this was just the most fun experience I've ever had. I regret not purchasing the membership because ever since I left I keep thinking about how bad I want to come back! This is definitely a hidden gem and a fantastic experience.

A hummingbird nearly took my eye out a few minutes ago and I couldn't be happier. This place is very special. "Hidden gem" doesn't do the journey to find it justice but the hunt really paid off in the end. A perfect place to hide, unplug and really relax. Not too fancy but quintessential charming. The staff is hard working and very happy to be here. And Jim and TJ work their butts off to make sure everything is just right. Our guide Jose was excellent! He never ventured too far ahead, always making sure we were right behind him. We ended up popping a tire in the middle of our excursion and Jose changed our tire in addition to making sure we were all calm and uninjured. The terrain was a mix of hills, bumps, rocks, and portions of flat dirt road - not to crazy for us first-timers. Halfway though our excursion we stopped at Rincon Tropicana, a beautiful resort in the middle of the canyon we were driving through. The resort featured a monkey and other animals, in addition to beverages! Would definitely do this again! Highly recommended!

We showed up pretty late, so we were only able to do the Safari tour, which is one of the main attractions, but it was completely worth it. The way the Safari is laid out is unbelievable. Traveling through the park and seeing all the animals spread out across these huge open areas really makes you feel like you're on an actual safari. There's so much room and space for the animals to graze and move around naturally, and it was amazing seeing how different animals interacted with each other or how the sections were designed to feel natural and immersive. They also have a zip line that runs across the safari area and a hot air balloon that goes up and down over the park, plus plenty of other attractions and exhibits that we didn't even get a chance to see. Definitely worth checking out, especially the guided Safari tour portion. One important thing to note -- if you're searching for it online or using GPS, make sure you search for the "Safari Park" and not just the San Diego Zoo. The Safari Park is located up in the hills and is a completely different location from the actual zoo in downtown San Diego.

We went on a Sunday and it was busy. With SD Zoo, you feel more cramped and crowded when it's super busy. At the Safari Park, it's more spaced out so you're not walking shoulder to shoulder with people. For general parking it's $20 for all day. Preferred parking is $45. If you park in the general section, be prepared to walk up a steep hill. For the admission, it's $78 for an adult and $68 for a child. We paid $130 for the multi day/multi park for adults. We spent 6 hrs here and that's including lunch. If you save your aluminum cup, I think it's $3 for refills. Be expected to pay for exorbitant prices for the food. Food portions weren't tiny so that's a plus. They have a free African tram that's about 25 mins long. The line can get very long depending on what time you line up. They have a Journey into the Wild presentation that is worth checking out. There is only one showing at 1 pm in the Benbough Amphitheater. It runs for about 20 mins. I would get there early to get good seats. If you have extra money, they have experiences that you can pay for. They range from $32 to $760 depending on what you're interested in. One of the highlights is being so close to the kangaroos without any fences.

The package available for cruise travelers includes a super easy round trip shuttle and most of the impressive experiences within the sanctuary. It was seriously a perfect day on shore. After the ~30 minute or so drive to Pai Pai, my wife and I were met by staff eager and excited to show us the facilities. A short tour guides you to navigating the expansive sanctuary, and keeps you posted on all of the activities that are timed. We wound up paying a bit extra for a few of the attractions that were not included in the original package, but the price of the whole experience and the extras were reasonable. Highlights of the experience included interacting with a 1.5 month old jaguar baby (a lifelong core memory) and the chance to feed and engage the playful lemurs. If you like animals and animal conservation, this place literally has it all. Additionally, their buffet style restaurant with made to order barbacoa tacos and omelets was relaxing, modern, and tasty. Add in the Pueblo Bonito tequila tasting included (some of the best tasting tequila and tequila liquors I've ever had--we brought 3 bottles back to the ship) and you have an incredibly memorable and meaningful experience. I must also shoutout our driver Fernando for making us comfortable and quickly taking us to and from the ship. In addition, I also want to acknowledge our incredible tour guide Max. Max went out of his way throughout our entire stay to make sure we got the most out of our time and were enjoying the full experience. When the Pai Pai hotel is open in the next year or so, I would gladly look at coming back. Muchas gracias Pai Pai!
