Aaron is from Hilo, and worked with the local schools that he went to- Kamehameha Schools in creating the mural. This was important to me. Jeanine took the time to listen to what I was looking for and suggested a few things to help grow my idea. I loved that. She came over and was so kind and really took time to understand this was more than just a job; this was something my kid is going to grow up with. She took measurements, and even took color swatches of the carpet and furniture to make sure we matched the color palette! She quickly mocked something up and a few days later I had a photoshopped mockup for approval. Once we approved it we setup a date and I paid the deposit. Marcus was the artist that was assigned to this project. He was so kind and wonderful in my home. He let my wife and I peek and see progress, and would check in with me if he had any questions. He's a really talented artist and executed my vision faithfully. At the end of the day my wife cried (with joy), we have our incredible mural and I couldn't recommend this company enough. The day of painting, she and her assistant, Teddy, were so prepared and did just an outstanding job. We are beyond thrilled with how it turned out. Our home was damaged in the Palisades Fire and received some water damage. In our entry was. Mural…read morepainted about 40 years ago by The Painted Ladies. Unfortunately, it received some damage requiring a good portion of it to be restored. Carole was recommended. It was a process and took much effort but she was able to restore the mural and what she was able to do was beyond belief. Some areas so little was left, but was able to keep the mural true to form. She is an incredible artist in her own right and we are very happy she consented to do this job.

This review is long overdue. 4 years ago I remodeled my bathroom. Coming from an interior design…read morebackground, I'm extremely particular about who I have work on my home. I put a lot of time, money and creativity into the remodel, and therefore I was very particular about who I wanted to work with me on it. I hired Carole to paint back in the details on a vintage, Asian TV cabinet, that I turned into a bathroom vanity. Needless to say this wasn't an easy job. The vanity was initially orange and black, however, I had it painted a light turquoise color. When this was done, it completely concealed all of the intricate detail work underneath it. My former faux painter tried to come in and repaint all of the details back in, however, wasn't able to. The vanity has raised figures on the doors, which take a very delicate touch to get just right. There's also intricate gold fretwork around the doors as well as on the sides. When Carole came in, we sat down together, and discussed how I wanted it to look. We went over colors, different shades of gold, the overall feel of it, etc. She painted in not only on the raised figures but also elaborate artwork on the doors as well. Luckily, I had taken pictures of the cabinet prior to having it painted, so she was able to reference the previous artwork, and not just duplicate it, but make it 100 times better! It turned out to be a masterpiece! It is one of the star attractions of the remodel. Everyone who sees the bathroom is absolutely starstruck at how unique it and beautiful it is, and Carole's expert hand was an integral part of why that is. I can't recommend her enough and if you're lucky enough to have her to work in your home, you'll feel the same way. Her skills are easily on par with those of the old world masters. I hope to work with her again in the future, as I have a couple of projects in mind that I would like her to bring to life.Thanks again, Carole. You were a joy to work with.

Albert may be an artist but he is a piece of work himself. He has put some of the pictures from the…read morekitchen he made for my parents house on here, which is fine, but what he didn't put is what he put my parents through mentally and emotionally and not showing up , then showing up , and a project that they had to do went from 2 months to 6 months with a lot of yelling and going back and forth and a lot of lies. My parents have a soft spot and my mother is very particular , so I thought there were miscommunications , I also felt extremely bad because his daughter had medical issues and he hurt himself as well. Long story short, we were happy with the work so when it came to my house and my mother told him that I am remodeling my home, Albert came and said he needed the work and he was going to build me a kitchen and do my closets and the door that I needed for my remodel with the best wood and as my other contractor wants to build for me with a given price, and all the promises , so I sat him down and said Albert as amazing as you work is I rather not deal with the headache, I cannot push things back, and I need to move in by October, everything should be done. He made me a promise that things wouldn't be the same and my family means a lot to him because we have been there for him in ways his own family couldn't and he would be honored. BIG MISTAKE! This guy is crazy. First of all lies through the roof,Every day he would say he's coming in the am and he would be done and he would show up around noon and leave around 3 with nothing finished. While he was here if I even approached him he would start yelling and screaming and hitting himself to the point I turned to my mom and my husband and I said should I call the police ? I think he's not stable . Long story short, I had enough of the yelling but since I had given him down payments for all of the projects and deep down I felt bad for the guy I kept hushing and looked the other way. I sat down with him numerous times and asked him to please without being disrespectful to give me a timeline that works best for him so I can figure out my own end. He even wrote them down and signed and promised . Guess what ? Nothing ! Same thing and only got worse. I couldn't take his yelling so I asked my husband to have most of the conversations since he's extremely calm, long story short he made a web of lies saying I am treating him badly like a worker which is not true at all and so many other things . I offered him water and drinks as I saw him working, I got them lunch and offered them to my own table when I saw them there the days they were actually working but when conversations went like hi Albert you said you were coming in Monday it's Wednesday and you have said you are painting my door every single day at your shop, are you coming in ? He said yes and showed up Thursday with a Door that is not painted my jaw dropped! With all of the projects he was supposed to do and failed miserably he Built a bar for $3,000 which did not match the picture I wanted him to build it like. he said he would match my kitchen shakers and he built me a book stand instead. The built in entertainment system and a thick mantel for uber my tv and over my fireplace and he built me something so thin like an ikea shelf not even close to what I wanted. He also had the audacity to ask $2000 on top of that with 2 more weeks so he could make it look built in as I had originally agreed on with him after he was already late 2.5 months. Sorry about the rant but I don't wish such a person on my worst enemy. He is a liar, a crook and an impossible man and I feel so sorry for him because he just sits there and cries with his lies and looks innocent . Well no more !!! My timeline: Signed a contract for a kitchen with him August 24 to be finished in 30 days my kitchen was done at 93% Late October. Still not done I may add and today we decided to let him know that we no longer wish to work with him because he will not show up. All other things were supposed to be done in October after many arguments, and right now it's the end of November and my bar or my entertainment center is not even started on yet. He designed and brought a shelf cabinet instead of what I asked of him for the bar and he took most of the parts back and blamed me and my walls for his mistakes . I hope this review makes someone understand all of the headache and pain this crazy unstable man has caused.
