Spaghetti & Meatballs
Laura M.

Had the pleasure of trying this awesome fusion food truck at Ale Smith Brewery for an event. I was like whattt? Italian && Mexican?! Sounds promising. The pastas on the menu were only noodles. Spaghetti or fettuccine. I would've like to have seen some bow tie/elbow since it's on the logo board. Lol. So no bow tie, I opted for a spaghetti plate. &a sampler platter from the Mexican side. The portions are shareable, there were 4 huge meatballs and 2 large bread slices. I split this plate between 3kids and they still had leftover. Can't speak on how it tasted because my kids refused to share *eye-roll* that is until they couldn't finish it, but I was already full with the sampler! It came with shrimp quesadilla, chicken flautas over a bed of salad, and carne asada chips. They only gave 1verde hot sauce, &that's all you really need. I usually flood my food with red&green hot sauce, but i ate mostly everything as is without sauce because it was already so savory. That hot sauce though, it was bomb! You could taste the freshness it, like it was made the same day. It was more on the mild side though. The only thing I'd recommend is grilling the shrimp instead of boiling it, cause it just made it look and taste a bit bland. Especially with white queso, it was a lot underwhelming. But everything else was good. They were super busy but super quick at the same time! Try the sampler! I promise you, you'd like the diversity without fully committing to just 1item.

We always grab food here when we are at ale smith. The owner is so nice and friendly. The chicken flautas are the best thing ever. The chicken is so moist inside and just so flavorful. They also have the best salsa and the best ceviche. I always can't wait for when it gets home so they can back their ceviche.

Is suppose to be asada tacos but I ate them

Food was amazing , had asada tacos and the flauta plate 10/10 for both , food was so good I even forgot to take a picture of the food below is the after math , extra ten points for the chips they give you because the portions are amazing , shoutout Alan for the wonderful service very helpful and good vibe , highly recommend brewery ambiance in front for seating is dope

Usually I'm a bit weary of food trucks but Zoe's really impressed! The surf and turf burrito was definitely heavy on the turf (I think we had 3 shrimp in the full burrito) but it was delicious!! Great flavor and no chewy pieces of meat! We got the sampler as well which came with nachos, a quesadilla and flautas which was the perfect amount for our group of 4! Great quality and good service! We would definitely order from here again!

Steak fries

Stopped by Zoe's Place after attending an event at Alesmith Brewery. I ordered the steak fries and my boyfriend ordered the nacho fries. The portions are huge and are such a great value for the price. I was able to get two meals out of this. The nachos were crunchy and the fries were fresh. The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was the style of cheese that they used. The cheese used for the fries and nachos was a nacho-style cheese. For the nachos, I think this was a great option. However, I thought this was a bit odd that this type of cheese was used on the fries. The cheese was a little runny and caused my fries to become soggy fairly quickly usually prefer shredded cheese when ordering fries, so I was definitely a little confused when I saw the runny cheese. I feel that the fries and nachos could have had a lot more flavor and seasoning. The overall taste felt a little plain to me. The fries and nachos came with a side of sauce that had a mild flavor without any spice. I poured the sauce over the fries and nachos but it was still lacking in flavor. However, you could tell that the food was fresh so that's a plus.

Shrimp burrito and a funwave hazy ipa

Wow, i just had the best shrimp burrito of my life. And no i'm not faded, only had a 1/3 beer before eating. I was expecting something totally different. Starting with the softest flour tortilla i have ever touched...it felt like cashmere or silk. Nope, i'm not on mushrooms. It kind of tasted like if a Vietnamese spring roll and a shrimp taco had a baby. This would be it. It was so light and refreshing. Odd description for a burrito right? When they first brought it out and i saw it I was thinking maybe this wasn't a good idea. Then i took a bite and wow...then took a bite of a tortilla chip and that just took the flavor to the next level. My guess is that only a very few amount of people order this ...i rarely order shrimp burrito's because im usually disappointed because most places fill them with rice, but do yourself a favor and come and get you sum of dis. You may very well find your new favorite spot. The best part for me is that its located at one of my other favorite places...Alesmith.

Nachos

I truly need to expand my food horizon with Zoe's so I can speak to more than their carne Asada nachos and flautas! But alas I'm a creature of habit and every time the same order flows off my tongue. Perhaps because I know with absolute certainty the food will be so tasty! The nachos are nicely loaded...no skimping out here! The chips are perfectly crunchy and the carne is tender and nicely seasoned. I especially like their flautas...impeccably fried so that they are light and crunchy, and the cilantro cream sauce is just the perfect match. Staff is incredibly friendly and they hustle! The only potential negative I've ever seen is when they are crazy busy and have to pause orders for a bit to catch up. But I totally appreciate the fact that they are able to recognize the crunch and very kindly and honestly tell customers that they need to pause and why.

Hazy IPA.

The food was amazing! I had a chicken bowl, my husband had the mahi mahi taco. Excellent! Our friends had flat bread. Delicious! I tried it all. Plus delicious beer at AleSmith. Love this place! Such a cool atmosphere.

DELICIOUS! PROFESSIONAL and INCREDIBLE SERVICE! I have been a Wedding & Private Events DJ/Emcee for 25 years. Recently, I DJd and Emceed a local Grand Opening for a business. Zoe's Place Food Truck provided all of the food, for the 100s of attendees, mostly business professionals in the community! I was one of the first to grab a plate and I knew, from the first bite, that I was going to enjoy it. The food was cooked perfectly and the portions were great! They had different options, to appease different palates. They were timely and organized, especially to provide food for so many people! I saw smiles and satisfied tummys, all over the place! I highly recommend connecting with Zoe's Place for your next celebration. Cheers! Take care and God Bless! Super tasty experience at Zoe's when visiting Alesmith to watch the Padres game. Paired great with the beer. Fresh, delicious, and filling portions. The sampler contains carne asada nachos, chicken flautas, and shrimp quesadilla. All paired perfectly with their green salsa. Friendly and prompt service. Recommended!

I don't know how this necessarily works at all locations BUT currently at Alesmith, Zoe's is a one man show, literally. The guy that took our order out in front of the truck also runs back into the truck to make the food. Crazy. This is a busy brewery and we've got ONE man running the entire show and guess what? The food is on point. Perfectly cooked, healthy portions and all done with a smile. I realize this may be an isolated incident but today, this one dude earned all five stars.

They came to our school event and did an amazing job! Service was excellent and fast. We appreciate all the hard work you guys put in to support our school. The food was amazing, and we couldn't ask for a better partner to the event. The owner was great and super accommodating.

We said we would wait for water but it never came around and they never checked up on it. I ordered the sampler that came with chilaquiles, beans, huevos rancheros, and corn tamal. When I ordered it, the server asked "and what would you like for your meat?" Her wording made it sound as if there was a protein that came with the chilaquiles. I was caught off guard at the end of the meal when I saw that there was a hefty (for the small portion) additional charge for the tough and flavorless carne asada. Maybe it wasn't intentional, but I think it would be better phrased as, "would you like to add protein?" for it to be less ambiguous. Nobody likes to be surprised with a higher bill than expected. I did not think the chilaquiles lived up its claim to be the best. It was pretty good, but the carne asada actually hindered it rather than helped it. Definitely get something else if you want to add protein to your dish. I was unhappy with the level of service, and the price didn't match the quality of the food. There are so many better spots in SD for Mexican food.

Perfect amount of sauce and sides. Delicious & the beans had bacon flavor but no bacon bits, really good. None of these would have been complete without the salsas, chile queso, AND ask for their spicy salsa (which is more of a hot sauce style salsa) but it's soooo good and adds such a perfect acidity to the dishes. 3) the Chocolate Tres leches I'd give a 7/10- it wasn't as moist as I expected but the crunchy topping and sauce made it yummy!
