    Grilled Chicken Sandwich
    Teddy G.

Went in on my lunch break, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and let me tell you it was DeLiCious!!! It was so fresh and warm I should have gotten two. The restaurant is small but it's very clean and they have some great music playing also. The guy who took my order and helped throughout my visit was very polite and helpful.

I have not had Puerto Rican food that felt this close to eating on the Island in forever. We stopped in for Mother's Day when passing by and had the best time. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The Tostones are the best one I've ever had they're so crispy and thin. My favorite thing was everything was seasoned but not overly salted! If you miss the isla you've got to stop in you'll feel at home.

I oringal had four empanda I had them with my mother & we only made it back with one. Very delicious.

I stopped in last night and ordered chicken empanda, a small rice and Mac & cheese. All of it was very very good . The prices are really great as well. The owners was very inviting and was overall very nice. I would definitely come back here again and try something different from here. Definitely come here and check them out.

Small quaint place with about 4-5 tables . Loved the selection of food options as well as the Puerto Rican artwork on the wall. The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. We struck up a conversation with the owner Julianna. Highly recommended.

    Steak Sandwich

Steak sandwich had an off flavor and grey-ish appearance. Time provided for pickup is too early; I had to wait 15min extra for this order, and past orders have had a similar wait. The food has ranged from bad to mediocre after a few experiences here. Unfortunately won't be returning.

Shrimp empanada, sweet plantains and rice with pidgeon peas.

This place is a hidden gem, I was told since I love empanadas that I "had" to check them out so I did.. and they lived up to the hype! I had their shrimp empanada and it was delicious..perfectly seasoned and full of shrimp. I couldnt get enough and was disappointed when it was gone. Remember when you were a kid and you ate slow to make it last longer? That's what I did..slowed down my bites so I could savor the flavor..hey! That rhymes..lol.. (unintentional rhyme) I also had rice with pidgeon peas and sweet plantains... they were the perfect compliment to my empanadas. My only wish was that they had a vegan option. I wanted a black bean & corn empanada but they didnt have that on the menu. Maybe next time?

Came here after my wife recommended we get take out. Being a family of 5 we called in an order instead of eating there. Unfortunately when we opened up the bag found we were missing items. Staff was friendly and all taking covid measures. They did eventually deliver to us the missing items which made up for it but still the experience could have been much better if we got everything the first time around. All the food was good and the chicken chunks rice and beans were on point. Chicken salad was ok. I will definitely give this place another try and update my next experience.

So happy to I found this place, came in hopping for some cafe con leche or mofongo but to my surprise they don't serve it, currently doing keto so no rice n beans instead I ordered the salmon salad wasn't bad but it could use some spice, my friend loved the Cuban sandwich. The owner was gracious polite so was the cook. I will come back hopefully they will have my favorites.

Just wow! After moving up here finding a good Spanish place is a bit difficult and Zoe's cafe did it for me in every way with an explosion of flavors, slow cooked pernil and a mojo that you can put on just about anything. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Waiter was nice, wasn't sure of menu items (ingredients and how to explain them in the dishes) and so we just went off the menu. We got 4 empanadas (2 chicken and 2 beef - they were good), 3 shrimp mofongos, and 1 chicken chunks with rice and pigeon peas. The price for the mofongo was high but we were like we love this dish so we need to try it. We get a medium sized mound of plantains with the shrimp already inside of it. That's fine BUT with the parts of the shrimp already mashed into it, I didn't even have 3 full compete shrimp, inside or in the side. The sauce that came with it, was oily, thick and not flavorful. The price was too high for the quality and food we got, or lack there of. Not even a side salad or anything to go with it. I left my mofongo because it was too dry and the overpowering of garlic, was too much. The other 2 with my same dish, expressed the same things as me. The chicken chunks dish, he couldn't finish them because they lacked flavor and because the coating looked burnt. However the chicken was tender but had no flavor at all. I tried it and left it on my plate with the mofongo I couldn't finish. Service was great, but food is lacking flavor.

While it was a bit loud due to the preparations, the energetic atmosphere didn't take away from our meal. The food was truly the highlight of the visit, as every dish we ordered was delicious. The Ropa Vieja was a particular standout--flavorful, tender, and very well-prepared. We also shared the steak sandwich, a classic Cuban sandwich, and both the boneless and bone-in chicharon de pollo. Both versions of the chicken were crispy and seasoned perfectly. It is clear that the kitchen takes great pride in their cooking, and we really appreciated the friendly service despite how busy they were. We will definitely be back!

Food: Pernil: 10/10 flavorful and tender Yellow (arroz con gandules) and Black rice with the beans: 10/10 both were good and couldn't even decide which one was better Pulpo 9/10 : fresh and tangy, cut into small pieces so you can top it on your rice Alcapurrias: 8/10 great and made differently then what I'm used to but it was sooo good I'd come again for this alone Juices: Ask them to try the juices and they will let you. It's a very casual, cafeteria-style spot with a semi-open kitchen, but don't let the simplicity fool you -- the food is incredible and the staff here is friendly and patient. The highlight of the experience is the small buffet that features a variety of freshly-made Latin cuisine -- including pulled pork, chicken and beef stews, and other traditional Latin entrees and sides. You can build your own plate by selecting one or more entrees and sides - which are priced accordingly. As a 'gringo' who wasn't entirely sure what everything was, I really appreciated them taking the extra time to explain all the different options and give me their honest recommendations. The counterstaff is bilingual and were pretty patient with my elementary school level Spanish vocabulary and grammar. I ended up going with the pulled pork platter with two sides ($7) and it was terrific -- the perfectly seasoned and tender pork, black beans and rice, and macaroni salad were delicious and very filling. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and the portions are very generous for the price. If you're looking for authentic, home-style Latino food in a laid-back setting, this is the spot! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Sazon Latino is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Sazon Latino offers free off-street parking in a small lot behind the restaurant and there's plenty of free on-street parking on Main Street.
