Normally you would expect a station like this to have multiple options but really this one only has a couple of kiosk style places. It's not nothing, but more limited than I would expect. However, the signage is very good and getting to your train doesn't seem to be an issue. The platforms are high so there is no huge step up to your train. As a terminal station for most trains it's also a great place to depart from as you typically get extra time to board.

Everything worked out pretty well, but you will need the PIN for any credit cards you use in the machines to buy tickets. We didn't have that. We then had to find out where the information office was and purchase tickets at the counter. You could also buy your tickets in advance on one of the aps, but I couldn't get the DB ap to work at all when in Munich even with a full cellular plan. Trainline seemed to work a lot better. My main point is that you probably shouldn't wait until the last minute if you need to be in another city at a set time. Also, carry lots of Euro coins while in Germany. You have to pay 1 1/2 Euros at this station to use the restroom.

Very simple underground metro station, Lehel services the U4 and U5 lines between Odeonsplaz…read more(towards Westendstraße or Laimer Platz) and Max-Weber-Platz (toward Arabellapark or Neuperlach Süd). The station has two tunnels with side platforms that are joined at each end. Escalators from the platform level to the mezzanine level and then escalators and stairs to the surface. The west end exits lead to the west side of Sankt Anna Straße at Sankt Anna Platz; the east end exits lead to Tierschplatz, where the tram 18 stop is located. It's kind of cool how they have some sculptures embedded in the outside walls and some display cases in the connecting passages. This is because Lehel is located close to a number of Munich museums. Every tour guide I've had has been wonderful. These tours are affordable and a great way to learn a lot in a limited amount of time. Furthermore, they're also a great way to meet people, especially if you're traveling solo. I'd highly highly recommend these!
