One side has a long case filled with delicious cookies, donuts, croissants and pastries! Go early to avoid the wait and have the best pick of the large assortment of goodies! Luisa's Swedish Bakery is reminiscent of a 70's neighborhood bakery where kids peek into the pastry cases to choose their favorite Saturday morning sweet treats! Just pull a number when you arrive and a friendly staff member will take your order. House-made breads, coffee and lattes are tasty as well! Luisa's has a small café as well; however, it fills up fast and is small, so don't walk in expecting to get seated right away, especially with large parties. Definitely worth a visit! Go and peruse the pastry cases! We ate everything so quickly I didn't have time to take photos.

What I like best about it is their donut size is perfect for just a taste. I came back with my husband, who is the biggest hotdog lover and he will only eat Chicago dogs because we grew up on them and he was so happy that we have such a close spot where he can go grab a true Chicago hot dog ( neon green relish & all)! We will definitely be back again and will tell all of our guests about this great place!

One of the young women said her Dad came home the night before and mentioned that some people came in and had chocolate ice cream with their pie. We felt so special! I'll definitely be back. I'm not a donut person but I loved my cherry donut and chocolate iced one. The cake texture was perfect and they weren't overly sweet. And I do love pie and chocolate ice cream!

I ordered the everything bagel with it. The sandwich is huge and well made. The maple chai donut is a bit on the sweeter side, but I like the favour. We sat outside since it was a nice day, and we decided to sit outside. There are 30 some outside sitting with shade. There are couple tennis courts next door, and it could be a good location to hang out after the game. I also recommend to bring a book to this cafe to read and enjoy the nice weather.

You know, as much as I have been to Oink's in my lifetime, I cannot believe that I forgot to leave…read morea review for them YEARS ago! First let me start by saying that Oink's and I go way back. I believe that the first time I went there was in 1988 when I was 16 (my two older cousins were raised in Union Pier), and since I visit SW MI at least twice a year, I never leave without going to Oink's before coming home. As I always took my kids to Warren Dunes instead of Chicago beaches, my kids always got to enjoy Oink's before coming back home also! So this year was no different and my wife and I got to sit down and enjoy ice cream before coming back home. I have always loved the different ice cream flavors (especially strawberry cheesecake), and as I always do, I bought a few pig keychains and other things from the gift shop. I also have always loved the old-school vibe! So every time I am up that way, I'll be there!! One last thing: I got to meet Coach Vink back in the day because my older two cousins (The McSmith brothers, who both passed away unexpectedly in 2024 and 2025), played for him at New Buffalo High School. Coach was a good dude, and I was sorry to hear of his passing. So, see you next time I'm up there!

Another ice cream review from another favorite!…read more Oink's has been around for ages and is always a great place to stop in if you're in New Buffalo! There's a parking lot and other fun places in walking distance as well to check out. The decor in Oink's will never leave you bored. There is so much to look at! They have a number system so once you enter, be sure to grab a ticket with a number on it and it'll flash on the screen. There were a few groups who came in who were unaware of that and so the lines and ordering process was a tad chaotic. Eventually one of the staff mentioned something about grabbing a ticket and it was easily sorted. Everyone working was very friendly and patient which is a huge plus. I tried out one of their cherry and chocolate ice cream flavors. So tasty! I also love knowing you can get a half scoop as well although it was still so much ice cream. The perfect place for a sweet treat!

Facility could use some maintenance, floor of building is way out of level and the tables are tilting to the point you wonder if your drink is going to tip over. I would not use the bathroom there, toilet handles falling off, just gross in general. Walls are all scratched up and need some help. Overall cleanliness of restraunt not good. Table was soaking wet when we sat down, paper menus were soaked through once sat down. Wait staff did their best on the busy day, no real complaints. They need a short shutdown for facility maintenance is my real only suggestion.

I really enjoyed my lox bagel and thought it was one of the best I've had!! The flavors were nicely balanced with the onion, capers, cream cheese and lox. I was able to eat it easily and get a little piece of everything in each bite. The bagels seem smaller than average, but who needs giant bagels anyway? I found these to be reasonably sized. Big overstuffed bagels that fall apart while you eat them - lox sliding all over the place - are really annoying. These were satisfying without making you feel gross after. The coffee selection exceeded our expectations. We shared a chemex for 2. They had a few single origin coffees to choose from and we had their pink bourbon Columbian. We enjoyed our coffee and bagels outside in their seating area and this was once of my favorite parts of our trip! We didn't have to wait too long, but as we were finishing, a long line was forming down the block. Consider getting there a little early!
