They ended up burning me out of a payment which was due on the 15th of July in a very shady way, and below is the TL;DR story of what happened. If you are considering doing business with them, I would highly recommend rethinking it. After somehow convincing the owner that he would not get very far by hiring someone commission only to fix the non existent sales side of their business and wrestling a tiny retainer from them, I walked into a minefield of misery and a complete lack of understanding about the work I actually do. I have a deep and very successful background in digital marketing agency client acquisition as a sales strategist and a closer. I made it clear before I started that I do not do cold calls and cold outreach because they are extremely high volume, low result yield activities. Within two weeks I started cross referral partner outreach within my own network and was setting up calls with key contacts. I helped the owner come up with a deep website and marketing audit offer for no charge that we could marketing to prospects. I found low cost ad channels, worked on landing page and branding ideas etc. etc. etc. We even had a call with the potential partner I brought to them which went very well, and later that very day they shut off all of my platform access and said they are refusing to pay because of "underperformance." There is much more to this story but I will save that for the lawsuit I am preparing with my attorney since I am running into a character limit here. Bottom line is that the owner is unethical, cheap (does not understand basic ROI principles of investment and return to build his own business after 20 years of running it) extremely obtuse and toxic. Be smarter than me and avoid serious problems, especially if you are a brand looking for a Shopify agency.

I employed "Skals IT" to speed up my laptop and fix the "no sounds" out of speakers or headphones…read moreissue it recently had. Had happened in the last two days, were working and just suddenly stopped working. But did work to an external source like extended screen. The good - he accessed my laptop by remote connection and he cleared a lot of bloatware with CC Cleaner free version. And did get my laptop to run better. But he couldn't get my sound to work on on speakers or headphones and after uninstalling and reinstalling Realtek drivers a few times, he stated that the sound-card must have failed on the laptop, which either requires a used motherboard to be fitted (because new aren't available) or buy a new laptop. The bad: So I did some digging and found an app called "Fortrek for windows". I paid for one year's service and "Fortrek" went right through my laptop, cleared up more junk on it AND updated every driver that was out of date. It rebooted my laptop after all processes and guess what? My sound is now working on the speakers and on the headphones perfectly.
