This is my first review and I am writing because of my experience in looking for someone that can help me. It is Sunday and since the Friday before last, I have been calling to find a lawyer that would talk to me and not ask me for a ton of money. Its not that I don't want to pay but I lost my job and I am not in a good place. I am living with my friend now and am using her computer because I can't even pay rent. I got attacked by a dog on the street, and got deep teeth holes on my left leg. My leg is swollen and it hurts a lot, so I had to go to the emergency again yesterday. I am trying to get some help with the bills but I can't get any lawyer to take my case or even talk to me to help me because if the dog is running around and you don't know whose it is, then there isn't a person to sue. It has been a difficult week for me. I talked to Peter Zneimer today and I think just talking to someone that has dealt with this kind of issue made me feel better. He told me that if we can find out where the dog came from, then I can make a claim against the owners. I don't know if I can find the house with the dog but just getting an idea what to do, someone wanting to help means a lot. I have not had an experience with lawyers before, but this past week has been very bad. I had called about probably ten lawyers and Mr. Zneimer is the only one that gave me some hope and explained my option. I don't know if he is going to take my case but just the fact that he took the time to talk to me helped. read more

My mother fell from a bus. Her knee got swollen and we took her to the ER. We had to hire a lawyer because the bus company did not pay her bills and she needed surgery. We went to one lawyer who kept the case for about seven months and then said he didn't want it. We talked to several other lawyers downtown. We also talked to this law firm and decided to hire Zneimer & Zneimer because it was not far from our house and because another client of theirs recommended them. The office is very modern. Their staff looks very intelligent. I think everybody has college degree that works there. Very soon after we hired them, they contacted all collection agencies and they stopped calling us. While we had to chase the prior lawyer to even get any kind of information, in this law firm when you call, they all you back right away. Now they are negotiating with the insurance to get us a settlement. We are very comfortable with them. I am a little ticked off that my review is not showing. eter Zneimer ruined my life. I was hit by an SUV as a pedestrian. I took the case to him around May. I would call and ask him what was going on. He said he was waiting for the holidays. The insurance companies are quick to settle around the holidays. That made absolutely no sense to me. Around the holidays he sent his letter of intent to sue to the insurance company. They said, they weren't going to make an offer. He said it would have to go to court. After a few more months, he said he wouldn't be able to take it to the court, he was to busy. He refereed to me another lawyer. I went to see them. After a few months, they said, they weren't interested. I lost over a year because of this nonsense. I called Peter back. He said he would look into it. He never returned my calls after that. Whenever I would see another lawyer they would see he dropped me and weren't interested. I called him recently asking him for help because I need to go to court over my medical bills, 15 thousand. He never returned my calls again. This man ruined my life. Sofia Zneimer did a great job handling my accident case with the insurance. She handled everything with the other driver's insurance and relieved me of alot of stress. At first I thought I would be able to settle with the insurance directly but the insurance company was just leading me on. When they did offer me money they offered to only pay my emergency room bills and would pay nothing for my follow-up treatment for my back. A friend referred me to Sofia Zneimer on Western Ave. and Sofia was able to settle my case for way more than they first offered me without having to go to trial which I wanted to avoid. I feel it was a good move on my part to hire Sofia and I would recommend this firm to my friends if they are unfortunate enough to get hit and are hurt. read more

I just got my green card through VAWA, I didnt have any kind affidavit of support , no police or middecal report no witness nothing . I went to a lot of law firms they told me it's almost not possible. Zneimer and his staff helped with my daughter's accident. My mother was driving and they got hit in the side and the other driver was saying it wasn't his fault and we got refused by the insurance. My mother wasn't hurt but my daughter was getting headaches. We were getting collection letters from the hospital and two other lawyers didn't want to help because the case wasn't clear who hit whom. They promised to send the documents the following Monday (this was Tuesday) and we received them the next day (they already posted them without knowing it). I still would ask for references before using this firm. Previous experience: Without going into too much detail, I am a little frustrated with the lack of response to multiple requests for information regarding the services for which they were reimbursed. I understand slow and no. I do not understand an utter and complete lack of response. Please ask for references before committing.

This won't be a long review, because I could probably right a small novel about my entire horrific experience with Marc Alberts law firm. However, I will suffice to say that as a client I am very displeased with the service I received. As a brief overview: - On multiple occasions I got excuses that the attorney has the wrong phone number for me (when in fact I hadn't change my number since I retained him) - I had a court date, they forgot to send me out a letter notifying me and I found out 3 days beforehand. - The lawyer often talks over you, acts curt, and has this "I don't really give a shit" shrug and je ne sais qua about him (mind you, not in the beginning when he wants you to sign a contract for his legal services) - I absolutely did NOT appreciate being given a different lawyer a day before trial when I'm under the complete impression that there was only 1 lawyer in the law firm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - The newbies (I can only speak about one without naming names) is mediocre. Gives an honest try. Equally attempts to talk over you. - Their legal assistant talks over you at times, disseminates misinformation based on the facts she has, which are contrary to what the attorney knows. In the grand scheme of things, I'm so happy to walk away from this firm and never look back!!! EVER! It would be fair to state that I could be upset because I was unhappy about my settlement, but when you feel like someone just half-assed your case....it tends to burn. P.S. If you see my first review, then you would know that 3 years with this firm gives me the right to render a fair assessment based on my experience. My apology goes out to any Yelpers that might have heeded my last review and went with this law firm. BEWARE.
