Zippy's - South Eastern We recently visited Zippy's South Eastern and had a pretty good experience overall. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and has plenty of seating with a menu full of Hawaiian favorites like chicken katsu, chili, Spam musubi, loco moco, noodles, and plate lunches. The food was good, although nothing really stood out as amazing during our visit. Portions were decent, and prices were about what you'd expect for a casual sit-down restaurant. The customer service was friendly and welcoming, but we did run into one issue--we had to ask three separate times before we finally received a high chair for our child. It wasn't a huge deal, but it did make the start of our meal a little frustrating. Another downside was that the restroom wasn't very clean, which took away from the overall experience. Hopefully that was just an off day. Prices * Most breakfast items: $10-15 * Plate lunches and entrées: $15-22 * Kids' meals: Around $8-10 * Desserts and bakery items available at additional cost. Hours Open daily from 7:00 AM to Midnight for dine-in. Location 9570 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123 (right next to Henderson). Parking There is plenty of free parking in the shopping center, and getting in and out was easy. Tips * Visit during off-peak hours if possible to avoid longer waits. * If you're visiting for the first time, try their famous chili, chicken katsu, or Spam musubi. * Families with young kids may want to ask for a high chair as soon as they're seated. * Don't forget to stop by the bakery for desserts before you leave. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The friendly staff and tasty food made for a pleasant meal, but cleaner restrooms and quicker attention to family needs--like providing a high chair--would have made it a five-star experience. We'd still come back to try more items on the menu.
Zippy's was a favorite place to go back in the day in Oahu. This is the 2nd time for me to visit a Zippy's in Vegas. I've been to the one on Rainbow and this visit, in Henderson. The Rainbow location was SUPER busy and maybe because it was Memorial holiday. I preferred our visit in Henderson since it was mellow and laid back. There were a couple of big families dining. The dining area itself is spacious, bright and clean. Their bathrooms were also clean. Staff were friendly and quick. My Korean fried chicken was soooo good. We also had dessert. I forgot to take a picture of my cold banana cream pie. It was satisfying!
Food was delicious!! It's my first time at a Zippy's! Hawaiian diner comfort food yummm. LV is so lucky to have 5 locations (I think?). LA has none sadly. We tried the zip pac deluxe, Portuguese sausage, saimin (filipino influences), and chili moco. All delicious, but I really liked the clear clean broth soup of the saimin! Perfect with the Chinese veggies, egg, onions & char siu pork. Even on a hot day, it was so good! The refillable lilikoi drink & orange bang were refreshing & addictingly just the right amount of sweet. The DESSERTS & PASTRIES! OMGG. Loved the dobash cake! Chocolate pudding cake, to me was not that sweet. I liked it a lot! Hubby loved their food too. The ones I took home were so sooo good even the next day. It was very unexpected. Simple, but I loved the sweetness on them. I loved the ube napple, ensaymada & chantilly cream puffs (creamy chocolate pudding filling)!! Ugh, they were perfect. Even the malasadas weren't bad, though plain inside. They had a nice somewhat crunchy fried texture outside. The sugar ratios were perfect. I was surprised at how good things tasted even a day or two later. Everything is reasonably priced. The pastries were a lot cheaper than I thought. The entrees were a tad more than I'd like, but they do give you big portions! This was the Henderson location. They have to-go lockers! It does get busier after 5 pm.....but our waitress was really nice and did her best being basically the only server. Cute ambiance, an ode to Hawaii! I need to go back, especially Oahu! I'll be back to try more stuff!! Yum yum!
We ordered take out via the website & it was a large order It was ready in 20 minutes and we got a code via text to unlock the locker for our food. We ordered the Zip Pac deluxe, meat lovers, Moco Loco, Diamonds, Wun Ton soup, Chili & Rice Then we saw the bakery so we got Haupia cake and several other treats that were devoured before I could take a picture The servings were large so we had leftovers We will definitely come back next time we are in Hendersen
First visit and my husband stopped in while running errands. We didn't realize there is a limited Take Out Menu. After selecting a couple of dishes, Spaghetti and Garlic Bread, and Korean Fried Chicken, we tried a little of each. Spaghetti was average flavor, but had a good serving size and garlic bread was toasted nicely with lots of garlic. Korean fried chicken had a sweet, savory flavor that complimented the delicious macaroni salad and rice. Staff were nice and restaurant was clean. Overall, we wish there were more options that were not fried. But will definitely come back to try other menu items and dessert!
We checked out Zippy's when they first came to town, but now we have this location right down the street from us. It's a big new build restaurant with a modern design that is bright & clean inside. We arrived around 10pm on a Wednesday and The service was definitely a bit slow. Once we ordered the food came out in a timely manner and it was hot & fresh. It's the first time I had the loco moco with chili instead of gravy and it was good. The loco moco with chili was huge! I split it with my girlfriend and was still full. A huge pile of rice with 3 burger patties and chili with 2 over easy eggs.
Yelp! review #21 of 2026 Stopped in around 7:30 pm on Tuesday May 19th. Here's a cleaner, stronger Yelp version: This visit was a real letdown. My wife specifically asked me to stop here and pick up dessert, and based on my past experiences with Zippy's, I was fine making the trip. I drove out of my way to visit this location because it is close to where we live. When my daughters and I walked in, the host asked whether we were dining in or ordering takeout. I told her we were there for takeout from the bakery. There was no greeting, no welcome, and no "someone will be right with you." We waited about five minutes and received no help. One employee was off to the side with his face buried in his phone instead of attending the takeout register. Another employee in the kitchen looked directly at us, then looked away without saying anything. The dining area only had about three occupied tables, so it did not appear busy enough to justify the lack of service or acknowledgment. Eventually, my daughters and I walked out. We wasted our time coming here and left empty-handed, which was disappointing for all of us as a family. It would take a lot for me to reconsider giving this location my business again.
Zippy's what's this ! We had to stop by and see what's happening! Zippy's is a diner in Hawaii! It's mainly Hawaiian style and themed food too! You can take it to go or eat it here. The restaurant is pretty large. It has a main dining area and a comfortable dining area for awaiting your order . The food is excellent! If you are seeking an education in Hawaiian cuisine let's talk and discuss. They offer many options for all sorts of different types of food choices. It's a great way to learn something new. Order it and just enjoy! They offer a bakery too . Some of the bakery items are really authentic to the experience of Hawaiian cuisine. You have to try the mala bread . These are a staple in Hawaii! Mmmm! They are worth the carbs. Come and eat Hawaiian style here in the best of places Las Vegas. Mahalo!
Full disclosure, I had no idea what zippies was. I made up a story in my head that it was pretty much a different kind of Denny's. I was absolutely wrong. Think of this place as a high-end Hawaiian barbecue place. Looking at the menu they have great items to eat. Pretty much the same thing that you would find on a wine barbecue menu, except upscale. I opted for the Korean fried Chicken which came on a plate with two scoop rice and one scoop. Mac salad. Okay, I got to tell you, the Mac salad is absolutely off the chart! I don't normally go from Mac salad but when I'm at a Hawaiian barbecue place I absolutely am all about it. My girlfriend had the chicken katsu which also came with two scoop rice, one scoop, Mac salad. And a really great katsie sauce. It too was very delicious, crunchy and hot as it should be. The service was okay, it wasn't spectacular. It was just okay. On the way out, you have to stop at the bakery section. Just looking through the glass of those cakes. I probably gained 30 lb. But I'll tell you what. We couldn't help but take a few of the pastries home with us. Everything there is amazing. They have a good loyalty club which gives you points for every dollar you spend and you get a free chili and rice just for signing up. Zippy's and you like one barbecue food in an upscale fashion. This is a place to go! We'll definitely be going back to try other items on the menu, it gives you that Hawaiian barbecue feeling if you don't feel like taking a styrofoam box home with you.
It was my first time to go to Zippy's. The restaurant was clean and simple. I liked that. We went there for dinner. I had April Deal. It was only $12.99. It had Korean fried chicken, chili, macaroni salad and two scoops of rice. That was a lots to me. Korean fried chicken was good. My husband ordered Mixed plate. That was good too. Our server was good. Some pastries and soup which I wanted to try were sold out. I want to try it next time.
We had to visit Zippy's on Eastern Avenue in Henderson, NV just because we grew up with it in Hawai'i. Everything tasted pretty much the same. We had the Zip Pac Deluxe, Chantilly Cream Puffs and hot coffee. The tartar sauce was a little runny and it tasted a little off. The cream puffs were sis (Liliha Bakery's puffs mo betta). We decided to order online for pick up in the glass lock boxes in the lobby. We don't want to wait in any potential long lines. Tonight was okay - short lines. The Teriyaki Beef & Chicken Katsu Platter was HUGH! I definitely got full. Then my wife couldn't finish her Korean Fried Chicken Plate. So I had to finish her plate too. It was all so delicious. We did order a Spam Musubi. I felt the rice to meat ratio was off. Too much rice lol. The waitress was awesome. She checked on us frequently. Our Water & Soda were always full. Every table at Zippy's looked like they were having a great time. The music was fitting and relaxing. I'm definitely bring all my family & visitors here to eat.
We have ordered from Zippy's for delivery before, but we finally decided to try an in person visit when we were near Henderson. I know it can be very busy, but it was quiet when we visited on this Monday evening. We were seated right away, and they have a large dining room with booth and table seating. Everything looked clean and well-kept. Our server was quite friendly and attentive, and soft drinks were frequently refilled. I had the "chili moco" which is basically the loco moco with some of their famous chili (with beans or sans beans - your choice). This features two eggs cooked how you want them, chili, two hamburger patties, and gravy all atop rice. It also includes macaroni salad on the side. It is a very hearty (and tasty!) meal. The patties were hot and tasty and not greasy. The sauce and chili were both delicious. I could finish all the rice as I filled up on the other items. The macaroni salad was tasty as well if a bit on the salty side. I opted for the "complete meal" upgrade for about $11 extra which includes soup or salad, soft drink, Hawaiian dinner roll, and dessert of your choice. The salad was very basic but tasted fresh. The roll was basically a warm King's Hawaiian roll which was fresh and tasty. It was warmed in a microwave, however, so it really didn't have any crispiness or crunchiness. They only had a few different cakes and pies to choose from - I had hoped for a chocolate choice but none were available. I went for their haupia (coconut) cake which was exceptionally moist and delicious! Overall, this was a very delicious meal that I really enjoyed more than the delivery orders we've experienced. I would definitely return and dine-in in in the future!

We had family in town from Canada. We took them to Zippy's and they loved it. Ariana took care of us and did a great job. Restaurant was clean and tidy. They were surprised on portions size. Food in Canada is not like portion size in the USA. They enjoyed the Zippy's chili, chicken katsu, zip pac deluxe and Mac salad. We got two mochizada's togo. We were all full and had a bunch of leftovers. Thank you Ariana and Zippy's! read more

After running a marathon earlier in the day, I came here on a Saturday evening to get some dinner. There were now 4 locations in Las Vegas! With this visit, I had gone to 3 out of 4. This location was just south of the 215 freeway, near the Eastern Ave and Silverado Ranch Blvd intersection. This place was one that was big enough that they had a bar section. When I looked over the menu, there were a lot of delicious food that I wanted to eat, but they weren't exactly very good for me. I ultimately decided to go with their loco moco. That meal was satisfying and really hit the spot. Service was excellent and very friendly. read more

Despite it being a Saturday night, my family and I were seated right away. It was a pleasant surprise because I thought there was going to be a wait for sure. I have been hearing so many things about Zippy's and I was excited to finally try it. The service was fast and decent. Inside was casual and they had a takeout side where you could order to go and a dine in side. The food was pretty good but there were some parts that weren't my favorite. I ordered the hamburger steak that came with onions, gravy, rice, and mac salad. The hamburger steak was good and the gravy but I felt the mac salad was lacking a bit. The food was not bad at all it just didn't live up to my expectations I had going in. read more

Zippy's is always a favorite! The wait in Henderson can be long but for a Saturday morning a 15 minute wait wasn't bad. The menu on the mainland is a little smaller than in Hawaii, but has many of the favorites! The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly! I got the Korean chicken breakfast plate with 2 eggs, spam and rice. This will fill you up and I couldn't finish today. Unfortunately, I was so hungry I forgot to take photos of the food. Trust me it was delicious! They serve Pepsi products and I believe it's the only place in town that serves Orange Bang! (Think orange creamsicle drink). Definitely a go to place for me! read more
Happy to have Zippy's and not have to travel to Hawaii. The workers here seem to be from Hawaii and are super friendly. Stopped in for breakfast and this location has lots of seating. Ordered the corned beef hash and eggs with fried rice, the zip omlette with fried rice, and the Koren Fried Chicken. Everything was great - the fried rice was amazing! read more
We finally got a chance to try Zippy's and were excited that the Eastern location is now open because we live closer to that location. Zippy's has always been talked up as the best Hawaiian food in town, so I was excited to try their garlic chicken. I compared it to Lefty J's since that's our usual Hawaiian food spot, and sadly it did not compare in my opinion. We opted for the takeout since it had been a long day, and it was raining. We ordered the chicken trio, the Korean fried chicken and chili, the chili with rice, an extra mac salad, and we ordered some pastries since those were also raved about. After waiting for our order, we ran to the car to get away from the rain and headed home. A HUGE letdown to find out that our napple and glazed mochizada did not make it into our order, a letdown for the restaurant and for us since we did not check our bag before leaving. I wasn't expecting perfection, especially since the food was sitting in covered containers, so we expected some of the food to lose its structure, crunch, etc. However, our chicken tasted like it had been sitting in the warmer, and the glaze wasn't really on the chicken, it was bland. The fried chicken was also not tasty- and was oily. The macaroni salad was salty, and I could not finish it, so we could not finish our food and could not tell you about the pastries since we did not get them. The chili was decent, but if you order the chili rice, you get about a 4-6-ounce scoop of white rice, and a heaping serving of chili- but the rice portion is more than the chili you get in the bowl. Not sure if this location was just having an off day, or maybe they were having issues since they're fairly new to the area; and they might need more training for their plates- but unfortunately for me, I am not looking or thinking of revisiting. My husband called them and let them know we were missing the pastries, but it still took a while for the manager to call back since they were busy for us to get a refund. The manager did apologize and offered the refund and said they'd mail some coupons for us to try again. In my personal opinion, I will stick with my Lefty J's. Maybe their other Zippy's location is better since that's where our friends go, but if I'm in the area and I have a choice between the eastern's Zippy's or Lefty's, Zippy's wouldn't be my first choice. read more

We're obsessed with Zippy's! Updating my review to add a good food photo. Service is always quick and easy here. They can easily accommodate a group of 8 at the booths by taking out the middle insert which is genius. Had some friends in town from the east coast that had never been to Hawaii (crazy right). So they had never heard of Zippy's or know about its 60 year history. At the end of the meal they were both totally satisfied and blown away on how good everything was. Our service was awesome and we finished off with fresh malasadas. We were absolutely thrilled when Zippy's opened in Henderson-after all, we make a pilgrimage to the one in Maui every time we're on the island. Wefinally tried the new Eastern location last weekend, and it did not disappoint. The Korean fried chicken was perfection, the service was fantastic, and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. Our only disappointment? The location... not Zippy's location-the fact that we weren't actually in Hawaii. We'll definitely be back! read more

If you're craving a taste of the islands in the desert, Zippy's delivers every bit of that comforting aloha flavor. I stopped in for breakfast and went straight for the corned beef hash with eggs and rice -- simple, nostalgic, and just right. The extra side of Portuguese sausage sealed the deal! Everything tasted homey and satisfying, like something you'd get back in Hawaii after a surf session. The bakery counter is worth the trip alone. Their Strawberry Cream Cheese Squares are dangerously good -- fluffy, creamy, and topped with a bright layer of strawberry gelatin that's almost too pretty to eat (almost). And those malasadas? Soft, sugar-dusted clouds of happiness. Even the restroom sign made me smile -- a little touch of humor and personality that fits Zippy's perfectly. Service was friendly, the place was spotless, and the vibes were casual and chill. Dream Cake was delicious with a well deserved recommendation from our server. Folks are friendly and the restaurant was very clean. My Korean Mom loved her saimin and said the broth nice and hot with noodles cooked perfect! The prices are nice with the serving size good, Mom had enough to share. There is big booth seating and counter service. There is also a dedicated take out area where you can sit and eat. Enjoy a nice big bowl of hot saimin with Dream Cake! read more
I've heard so many great things about Zippy's, so when one finally opened near us, we were excited to give it a try. Overall, the experience was good, but not great. The service was friendly but a bit slow -- we never got our coffee refilled or the sauce we asked for. The food itself was just okay for me, especially for the price. Portions were on the smaller side, and my corned beef hash wasn't hot when served. On the positive side, the pancakes were fantastic -- definitely worth trying! The rice was perfectly cooked, and the macaroni salad had that classic Hawaiian flavor. My chili fries were decent, but the chili tasted a bit too sweet for my liking. We plan to come back and give lunch or dinner a try since I've heard great things about those menus. I'd recommend Zippy's, but go in with realistic expectations, especially if it's your first visit. read more

I was pretty excited when they opened nearby! They operate as both a fast food or sit in. When you walk in you can waitlist to sit down on the right. The left side of the restaurant is pick up to go or order and eat at a first come first serve seating. The service was quick and it was pretty crowded and lively the day we went since it just opened. The place was also pretty clean. Food: Kalua 7/10: not too salty which I liked! The meat was tender and the flavors balanced out well with the rice and cabbage that came with it. I would order this again. Combo 6/10 the katsu was nice and crispy, not too dry. However the Korea chicken was wayyy too much flour and barely any chicken. I wasn't too much of a fan. If I were to come back I would order the kalua. But just be aware that they don't have it everyday, I believe it's only on certain days like Saturday? Just check their website before hand! read more
Stopped by before going to Hula practice as I wanted ensemada. Conveniently located on Eastern Ave about a mile or so of the 215 exit.l on the left. There wasn't a line for take out so sweet!!! I ordered at the counter and waited for my food. The workers were all nice and on automatic when someone walks in the door they all say "Aloha." So what's funny is the person who took my order actually asked me when I was standing waiting for my order if she could take my order. I kinda giggled and said you already took my order less than 5 minutes ago. As I said I wanted ensemada which was amazing. Brought me back to my younger years. Nice fluffy and soft with that butter and sugar. I also ordered a saimin separate. I went to my car and wanted to eat it right away and errr the noodles were overcooked. Especially if its takeout, I would suggest not to have extremely soggy noodles. It only took me 1 minute to walk to my car and pour the soup. Still good. I enjoyed the char sui, hot mustard and kamaboko. Definitely will return again but happy to see the 3rd Zippys in Vegas. read more

How lucky are we to have a third ZIPPY'S location in Las Vegas?? Thrilled to have Zippy's in our neighborhood: Silverado Ranch (Henderson). It's located just off of the I-215 & Eastern Ave and it's open until midnight 7 days a week!! Sweet!! Our party of 4 visited one day after Grand Opening Day, Wednesday, Sept 10th. We checked in at 6:30pm and the wait time was ~25 minutes. The menu is vibrant and has all the good stuff listed like Zip Pacs, Monthly & Daily specials, noodles, chili, burgers, and desserts! We noticed the Korean Fried Chicken & Chili Mixed Plate was on Special for $11.99 from Sept 8 - Oct 4th, so we ordered three plates! Hehe! I am a huge fan of their Vegetarian Chili and enjoy eating it with their grilled cornbread. My nephew decided to be different and ordered the Zip Min, which had an absolute wonderful aroma that took be back to my days in Honolulu. Ahhhh!! Add the Lilikoi drink and we were happy campers!! The interior was clean and pretty spacious since it took over the former Mang Felix restaurant. Service was great! I just love the location and look forward to many return visits! \nm/ read more

This location is bigger than I expected and the dine in area looks huge. Got our order within 5 min. We got strawberry cream cheese square, chantilly coco puff and a long john.
