Maybe for local moves they are great but for long distance? No no and no. Leaving NY, We were packed out in two trucks, moved to storage for a few months then called to have everything delivered to our new home in Fl. Our belongings arrived in one truck. No bigger than one of the trucks that packed us out. We had soooooo many broken items. Wedding memorabilia smashed into pieces. Tools, bent and snapped. Outdoor wicker furniture prongs broken. Plastic bins with broken tops and corners. See the owner Rob, shoved my 3 bed 2 bath plus wood working shop into one truck to save himself NY -FL transportation fees. One truck is better than two right Rob? So many broken items. And the more I dig the more I find.We moved over a year ago and I'm just now writing this because my blood was boiling too hot. read more

The only company you should look into when moving in /around long island. Professional, courteous, respectful, caring, and will NEVER try to get one over on you. They know what they are doing, and you pay for it, and its worth it. Zippboxx Moving & Storage WORST MOVERS EVER Do not use this mover unless you like to pay a fortune to have them "lose" any of your valuable possessions. I paid a crazy insane amount extra for their Insurance. Their insurance says my very valuable possessions that zippboxx lost are worth only $30. I had 2 parts to my move and storage. When they unloaded my items that actually did get delivered, I kept seeing other people's furniture in my home labeled with my name on it. Those are not mine, so I made them take them back and I suspected that my stuff could be in someone else's house. They "lost" family photos, collectables, pots & pans, blankets & pillows, a designer bag, etc.... The furniture that did arrive was somewhat dented as they taped the packing material too tight. I am honestly devastated. I paid a fortune to allow these people to lose or take my belongings, some of which can never be replaced. Supposedly I was paying this huge amount for monthly storage to afford me "replacement value" if lost or damaged. I do not think I can replace even a single item with $30 that their Insurance is willing to pay out on my claim. This is a nightmare. From beginning to end, this move was a disaster. read more

Doesn't get any better than this! The first move from an apartment to their storage facility was seamless, everyone was professional and courteous. Luanne goes above and beyond with her customer service. Rob, the owner, was exceptional with his communication when there was a concern the day of the move. The movers were amazingly professional, took exceptional care of all the items like they were their own. I took advantage of their storage facility for several months before needing everything moved across country to Phoenix, AZ. While Zippboxx doesn't offer cross- country moving services, Luanne recommended a company that turned out to be fantastic. Made a normally stressful situation amazingly stress-free. Their rates are so competitive and no gimmicks or hidden fees like the other storage units I had called. I would HIGHLY recommend them! read more

Insanely rude and unprofessional. I use this company for storage. When they picked up my items initially, they were over 3 hours late. This caused a lot of issues, as my building didn't allow moves after 4pm, and we were going to go past that threshold. In addition I had to reorganize cleaning and plans etc. they offered me a months free of storage but I'd have preferred to have paid that moNth and not deal with the hassle and stress that being so incredibly late caused. Then around a year later I had 2 additional boxes to be picked up. I emailed them and had to chase for multiple months before they finally agreed to pick up these boxes (at a high charge t) and it was for the day after. I moved things around and they were happily on time but it took me months of chasing and lots of emails before we organized a pick up. I even offered to take the boxes to the storage facility myself on a Saturday but they said no. And finally I moved to California and need to move my things over. When I asked them months ago if they provide this service they said yes they could do it. And asked me for a lot of information which I provided in writing. Unsurprisingly I didn't hear back so after a few months I chased again. They asked me for the same information I had responded to in writing previously, and I asked them to check their emails as this has already been provided. Then they basically called me rude and passive aggressive and told me to sort out the move myself! After I told them how frustrated I'm becoming with their service. The company has consistently been unprofessional, I've consistently had to chase and now being told I'm difficult and to sort out the move myself when they first said they'd do it is mind blowing. I don't trust them and I wouldn't recommend zippboxx. Consistently unreliable, unprofessional and rude. In response to zippboxx's comments, I was not rude. Management however sent me very bullying and hurtful emails which I still have. Further there were never any missed or closed windows to pick up my boxes. And the fact that they were based in LI made zero difference. I rented a car specifically to drop off my boxes there and they told me no one is there weekends. Again have emails. I think how they operate is if we don't respond maybe the customer will just forget. And so I just had to chase. And when I said I am frustrated and the questions they asked me I had already responded to in writing months ago when I first asked if they could send my stuff to California, they totally unrationally flipped. This is a company that is disorganized, consistently unreliable, bullying when you complain and says they'll do something and they don't. And yet they're very happy to charge me almost $200 a month. Which is the one thing they're always on time doing. And because I used their storage boxes, they want to charge me $25 per box unless the company I find to move my things will unpack my things from their boxes and pack it into other boxes. I was in nyc over thanksgiving and if they'd told me then they weren't going to be able to bring my things to Cali I'd have gone there to the storage facility and unpacked and repacked my boxes myself. I'm seriously considering legal action as they promised something in writing and then turned around and said no, which will cause me an additional financial burden and probably me having to fly back to nyc again just to repack my things. Everything I'm saying is factual and accurate. The rudest thing I said is that I'm frustrated as I'm always chasing and to please check their emails as I've responded to these questions previously. Then they turned around said to sort out the delivery yourself. And insulted me. read more

We are so happy we chose Zippboxx as our Moving Company for our out of state move to Colorado from Long Island New York..We needed help with some packing, and Rob the director, sent 2 competent, industrious, knowledgeable young men to assist us 2 days before the big move. Juan & Geovanny arrived early in the morning and began boxing, taping and assisting us in the proper placement of these large boxes for our move...They worked endlessly, and efficiently to get us packed. I was happy to know they would be returning with the rest of the crew to complete the packing and begin the big move West 2 days later. Herbie, you are a workhorse and a great leader, Anthony you never took any offense (moving can be stressful), Kody, take care of those Knees young man! And all the rest thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We dearly miss everyone! We had used zippboxx on a referral from our real estate attorney. They packed, wrapped, transported, dealt with me for two weeks! Cleaned up the house as well. I hired a dumpster and they even helped do a major cleanout. These men worked their tail feathers off! I seriously miss seeing them every day. They were funny and a pleasure to work with. My hubby is a bit of a hoarder and they helped with that issue as well. Whatever I needed staff was there and with a smile on their faces did the job with the utmost professionalism. Something you don't always get with some moving companies. We love our new residence and if it wasn't for the crew at Zippboxx, I doubt we would be unpacking right now! FYI I packed my grandma's crystal glasses in 1987 when I was 15. After the move guess what? After 30 years they still were in excellent condition! A lot of that goes to the movers. I marked all boxes with fragile and what the contents were and they made sure all fragile items were handled with the utmost care. Just perfect! Moved my in-laws last Friday (Oct 2019) from Valley Stream to East Meadow and were terrific! On time, professional, experienced, great attitudes, and worked hard with a smile on their faces. Team of 5 showed up as promised, as they are paid by the hour. Their rate was competitive and no gimmicks or surprise charges. They carefully wrapped and moved all the furniture. Moving day can be stressful, but their team made it a very successful day.
