I'm not the…read moremost fit person (say hello to my noodle arms), but the entire group was extremely patient with me and made sure to check on my fatigue level the entire time. Even though it was quite dark by the time we made it to the bat bridge, we were able to see them fluttering against the twilight sky. It was such a calming journey back in the dark, with lights on our boats and the twinkling skyline of Houston in the backdrop. My arms, neck, and back are in so much pain the day after but it was well worth the trip and the effort!

This review is for an annual bike ride that occurs in front of City Hall. I don't know if you can…read morestill call it Tour De Houston as the race start in downtown but then heads south to Clear Lake and back if you were to the 60 mile route. There are shorter routes of 20 and 40 miles as well. It costed about $40 to register but I didn't have a problem with that as the money was going toward the reforestation of Memorial Park. There are designated areas for cars to park depending on whether they had rear bike racks or roof bike racks but I ended up parking on the street as parking is free on Sundays in Downtown Houston. There was alot of headwind heading into Clear Lake and around 3 rest stops on the way there which you can easily use on the way back. The ride heading back into town was great as the tail wind pushed me to up to 30 miles an hour at one point. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to stay at that speed for very long as the police would stop me and everyone else to allow traffic to get through. Overall, it was a great ride that was well organized and supported by lots of volunteers.
