Got 2 hours for 80$ which was a deal compared to the other rental places around. We rented out a 6 seater which was perfect for the fam bam. The max speed was 35mph so there were a few streets that was off limits due to minimum speed of 40mph or above, a map was provided to show the restrictions. A lot of Galveston Island could still be occupied with the golf cart. We stayed mostly on Seawall (street by the ocean) as it was the most scenic route to us. Must drive on the right side as that is the slow lane. Our cart had a newly placed speaker that had bluetooth capability and we really enjoyed bumping our tunes. The whole family enjoyed the ride and definitely marks a memory for a different experience. When we returned the cart, we wanted to purchase a funnel cake but they said the kitchen was closed. A worker came out and offered us an order of deep fried Oreos (6 came in an order) for free since someone didn't pick it up, and they were delicious! Thanks for the great service! Will keep this spot in mind if we return!

JUST A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO " ZIPP E BIKES" 2311 MECHANIC AVE…read more Took my E Bike for service, no appointment...Needed a new crank arm and pedal Figured id have to leave the bike for a couple days which is tough because it's my only mode of transportation. Phillip came outside, took a look, grabbed some tools , a set of pedals and a luckily had a used Crank Arm and went to work immediately. He took extra care to lock down everything and I mentioned I had Brake issues, wondering how much a Brake change would cost, he again grabbed his tools and quicklt tightened my Brakes. He only charged me for the pedals and $ 10.00 for labor, clearly well below what was due, No Complaints....Was expecting $50-70 because of what other EBike shops on island quoted. They had no real knowledge of how locks work and tried to use different parts from another type of lock, which didn't work at all. So we took our lock here and he first fixed it and then was able to re-key the lock. He is practicing an art and understands locks at a deep level. Wonderful service and value. Very friendly, too.

Since I was a kid, I have found the bikes for 4 people a fun unique way to bike ride. With a…read morehandful of friends we spent a rather pleasant Sunday bike riding. The lady in charge recommended that we crossed the street at traffic intersections, makes sense. I don't want to be splatted like a bug on a road. Her tone of voice was friendly and upbeat as she explained the reservation process and bike-riding tips. To reserve the bike, we simply told the attendant the style we wanted, provided a single ID, and paid the fee. We were ready to bike ride within 10 minutes. The reservation process was easy and quick. It's $25 for a 4-passenger bike, not bad for an hour. The attendant threw in 30 minutes free, a nice bonus. This business is cash only. An ATM is located inside the office, so you won't have to walk 500 miles to retrieve the green bucks. Bottled water was sold for a $1 each. Gatorade & other electrolyte beverages sold for $2 each. Though there are two steering wheels, the left steering wheel alone actually controls the movement of the 4 passenger bike. As we were biking along the sea wall; we found a statue with a dolphin. We totally took advantage of this photo opportunity. We climbed out on the giant boulders, til the waves were splashing wildly. Our co-pilot found the bicycle bell within close distance, she warned everyone within a 15 foot distance of our presence with a ding ding of the bicycle bell. With an iPhone playing music; we cruised down the sea wall to the tunes of reggaeton and Spanish rock. The combination of warm sun rays, lower humidity, and gentle breezes make bike riding by the beach in the fall a treat.
