I've been banking at the Denver Zing location for about 11 years. Overall, I've had great service from them. Helped me buy a car, and I received a great rate. Opened several 12-month CDs, an IRA CD, and a Money Market account with much higher interest rates than Savings. (A small amount of money starts you off.) They call me anytime they think you have an account security concern. Critical point: We discussed a key non-taxable IRS process: a Pay-Upon-Death (POD) and assigning Beneficiaries to your accounts. If you pass away (no matter how much money you have), the bank pays your beneficiaries the balances in your accounts with PODs. It's considered an inheritance; it is not taxed and bypasses attorney and IRS Probate. Small CON - the original bank was so professional and larger. The remodel feels like a satellite location, and it presents itself as too business-casual environment. HOWEVER, all the same great benefits and services are provided to the customer. read more

We started our relationship with Denver Community Credit Union which was purchased by Zing. Since then all things have gone down hill to very long wait times to contact a rep on the phone, to our most recent issue where our accounts which were placed into the name of our Trust, were frozen without notice after the passing our my spouse. They won't call back, they won't give out names of managers. I offered to email them the documentation but they kept saying they need to research it. Research what? The accounts are under a Trust with co-Trustee's. The relationship with this organization, once the accounts are unfrozen, will be severed. read more

I am a longtime, over a decade, Zing (formerly Denver Community Credit Union) member- more than a decade. All humans are imperfect, therefore all organizations are also imperfect. My appreciation stems from the engagement, earnest and dogged over time, of employees on my behalf. THAT'S the big diff for me btw Credit Unions and banks, in general. The kind employees at Zing know my name, my dog's name, and even the regular client dog's names I bring in as well. WOW. In this day and age, being treated as a fellow human being, not merely a number, is something I seek out and insist upon. Zing can, and does, deliver on customer service. It is abundantly clear that Zing does not care about their customers. I have had an issue with Teller Phone for the last few weeks... at first I dealt with it believing it would repair itself. A week ago I gave up on that idea and called to speak to a representative, after waiting 30 minutes I went through the verification process and found that the address and telephone number they have is thirteen years old, even though I have received statements at the current address and called into Teller Phone thousands of times in the last thirteen years. I was told that Zing went through a software update and this issue happened to many customers. The process took a half hour and the rep stated everything was repaired. I hung up, called Teller Phone and was not able to access my info. I called back the next day, waited 40 minutes, the rep had the 13 year old info in the system... she changed it all and... after we hung up, (Lo and Behold-not able to access my info). Yesterday, I went down to the Acoma location and spoke to someone face to face. He worked on it for 20 minutes (had the same info from 13 years ago), he stated that he needed Quality Control to approve what he had done, it would take no more than an hour, he would call me and if I hadn't heard from him by today at noon to email him. Needless to say, I have emailed twice, with no response... Here's what I am doing, I'm withdrawing my money on Monday, and my direct deposits are being canceled. My husband and I have another account and we will be doing the same with that account. I would suggest that other customers do the same if they have the same issues as we do and those persons looking for a credit union... look to Canvas or Bellco. read more

Called because my father's account was comprised and we had to change his account. I am also on his account. The lady we spoke to by the name of Tara was completely out of line and very rude! I was speaking to her on speaker phone with my father she said if I'm on speaker phone please take me of because she would not continue the call and she would only speak to my father, mind you remember I am also on the account. Maybe Tara needs more training on how to treat people work on her customer service skills. We do banking on the Alameda branch location. I find it very disrespectful that our money is there yet someone thinks it's ok to speak to a customers the way Tara did. Zing needs to send Tara for retraining or you should have recorded customer service calls with your employeea so you can hear how they treat and speak to your customers. read more

Zing, formerly Denver Community Credit Union, has gone downhill in quality since becoming "Zing". I would have never agreed to let some company named "Zing" handle my money, it's an awful name and it seems to diminish my credibility immediately. in recent years since becoming "Zing", my mobile check depositing time has gone from about 24-48 hrs to 8-10 days inexplicably, after long hold times, customer service is generally unhelpful and very much having a "deal with it" attitude, and finally, worst of all, over 6 times did Zing charge me an overdraft fee, while also not covering the actual bill. So for example, ATT attempted to acquire payment for the monthly bill via autopay, and Zing charged me 3x for an overdraft fee and did not even pay the bill, only charging me nearly $100 in overdraft fees which is almost the cost of the phone bill itself, but the phone bill remained unpaid. When I called I was told that it was my fault and I needed to be more careful with my money. I attempted to speak with a bank supervisor regarding the issue and was told there were none available and that someone would call me back and no one ever did. If you are considering banking with Zing Credit Union, I would highly suggest rethinking and looking into other banks. I've been using banks since the early 2000s and I can comfortably say this is the worst experience I've ever had, even in comparison with Wells Fargo. Don't trust these people with your money, they do not have your best interest in mind, and appear to be doing classic shiesty bank stuff. Would rate Zero stars if I could. I will be changing banks by my next pay period. read more

I have been a business banking customer since 2014. While there are some ways in which a credit union is a better banking experience than a retail bank, there are ways in which Zing could be much better. They are not particularly business friendly and very unapologetic about that. On a day-in day-out basis, they limit the amount of money you can transfer from an account to $2,500--and they limit the amount of payments you can make to $15,000, not something they communicate proactively. Today is the last day of the month, the third payment I needed to make today--to an important supplier--was denied because it caused me to exceed the limit on my account. How embarassing, especially because I had the money in the account. And, how frustrating--because I was unaware of the limit--and had held for more than hour to make a phone payment to a vendor who is two time zones ahead of me. I called Zing to request an increase, so I can make the payment and avoid late charges, but the ONLY manager who has the authority to do this is not available, meaning my window to get this done today is very narrow. Other things I find frustrating: Zing is not an SBA lender, a problem during Covid, when I was looking for funding to keep the business going and banks were only lending to customers. Some of their online interfaces are not constructed with ease or good accounting practices in mind. And, I HATE the name--it is childish and an embarassment to bank at a place that puts appealing to immature customers a priority. They never asked long-time business customers like me about the name change before they went ahead and did it. read more

Having gone thru two hurricanes in Florida and missing multiple days of work the bank would not assist us with deferring our car ok payments. We have had loans get for three years or more and never missed a payment or been late. We need help and this bank wasn't willing to help us. read more

I have been with this credit union for over 10 years, through all of life's hardships. I can count on one hand how many times my account has been negative or even received an insufficient funds charge, and not once have I asked for any type of loan. Recently, I had some car trouble and paid the shop upfront. I filled out an application for a personal loan, asking for less than what I make every two weeks and got denied due to a collection that is years old and currently in dispute, and student loans that show as current. I am very disappointed in this institution and will be closing my account. read more

We had an Auto loan when this was Denver Community Credit Union and they were very helpful, but now they are Zing you may as well hang it up. They either don't answer your call, don't return your call or keep you on hold eternally. I can actually say I have never left a bad review until now but felt compelled to for anyone new considering joining this credit union! They are discourteous and downright rude in my opinion. I moved to Denver in April and planned to continue using my East Coast credit union through the shared coop credit union system. The first few local Co-op credit unions I tried in town were not very welcoming and made banking difficult. Then I found this branch of the Denver Community Credit Union and everything changed! My experience with the Denver Community Credit Union is great. There blench in Denver Managed by Larry F. was really helpful. Very professional and very helpful, knowledgeable about the info they give you, the various ways to help you improve your credit, different strategies different options that best fit your situation on top of great interest rates that they give you. even more then that, in my personal experience, I never had to call and get an appointment as I'm super busy all week, I just pop in and I get the best service ever. The manager even remember me, my loans, my situation, everything. You don't feel like you are just a file or a number, but a real person. Crazy me for thinking that this place would be OK. I walk in, there is a HUGE line and whoever the guy is in the office to the right when you come in was too busy meeting with what I'm assuming where his wife, daughters and perhaps his mother to notice or care that the people who were actually working needed some help. It speaks volumes of the typical type service I have repeatedly experienced with the Denver Community Federal Credit Union. It used to be you could count on a credit union to be the backing of the communities financial needs. I wish I had never set foot in this place. My girlfriend and I went into the branch to apply for an auto loan, after spending hours searching for the perfect car. We were about to move out of state where I had a new job waiting for me. Adriana was the representative helping us. She seemed like she wanted to help out, and told me she'd get back to me after speaking with an underwriter. First of all, they took five full days to get back to us with a final decision, losing us the car we had decided on. Worst of all, she had someone else call me to tell me I wasn't qualified for an auto loan with them because my address was in a different state. This is something Adriana could have told us at the very beginning, before checking and affecting my credit score, and making us wait for almost a whole week. In the end the car we wanted was sold to someone else, we wasted a week of time/money on a rental car, AND they dinged my credit score for no reason. We took our business to Chase bank and they approved me for a loan within minutes. Hard to say if these people are incompetant or sleazy, but either way, don't go anywhere near Denver Community Credit Union if you value your time, money, or sanity. read more
