When I was there I was the only person in the store, so I felt very comfortable when I was trying on dresses in front of the manager and my boyfriend. She was so sweet, very helpful and gave me heels to wear when I was looking in the mirror. She helped me chose my dress and was perfectly on the line between giving me time and space to decide, but also telling me how gorgeous the dresses looked. I felt no pressure to purchase, but when you try the right dress on, you know! She also had shoes in store that we very modestly priced, a cute pair of loafers only $40. Other, short dresses were more copious around the store, as well as jewelry and tops. I didn't have time to explore all the racks, but any upcoming occasion I have I will no doubt be returning here first. Cheapest prices, cutest, trendiest clothes and the sweetest girl running it all. Definitely recommend you giving this place a try. The only downside to this place is that it's not a chain, so if it's not on the racks it's not available, but I actually really like that. It adds to the uniqueness of the dress, especially for events such as graduation.

Just the way I like shopping. Tsk, tsk. You start with trendy clothing and end paying up "industry insider wholesale prices". The catch? You pay $25 for an annual membership access to the shopping events. It's like H&M meets Costco. But the good part is that it's more of a private event and not a store with a hoard of shoppers vying for the same clothes. There are select styles with limited sizes to ensure not everyone ends up with the same clothing as you while you galavant your way around Vancouver. Of course not every piece of clothing you see will suit your taste. And that's a good thing towards exclusivity. The new changing rooms look chic in the form of 2 tents in black and white draperies adorned with tiny white lights and a white chair at the corner. Shopping is stress free as they will leave you alone to wander around and try on clothing. And if you feel like being helped or simply chatting, then they're certainly in on that as well. No pretentions. Janine, the owner is onto something here. Fresh Out has great potential. I'm just hoping as the business grows and the location expands, the personalized feel is kept intact. So 5 stars for now and here's hoping for more clothing choices at rock bottom prices.

You get an e-mail with the sale dates when you sign up. If Currentness matters to you, good news: the stuff here aren't leftovers from last season; they are current ones that she has gone out and bought through her contacts. I don't know how she manages to sell them so much lower than usual retail. You have to pay for an annual membership, but you can come in and look first, to see if the stuff here is your type. I found a knit dress that I like, so the membership was added to my bill. On that first visit, the change rooms were sponsored by Yelp... they were tall cardboard boxes, but pretty small. I went back for another sale, and they were a lot nicer. Really wide and tall mini-tents with little lights. It was a lingerie sale, so Janine was thoughtful enough to put a mirror inside each one :) I'm not sure how new FreshOut is, but the members used to be just on a printed list. Now, there is a numbered membership card. Janine said that starting July, more things will be available with the membership (events joint sponsored by someone else, maybe?)

The process is professional and respectful of your time due, and the shop itself is very well curated. The condition of the items examined were all nwt, excellent, or very good. My wife ended up buying a pair of Givenchy sneakers, which she thought was a great deal. You have to be buzzed in by an employee to get in, and the store itself is small, so they probably limit the number of people inside at a time. It wasn't that busy on a Sunday afternoon.

The store seemed dead since I went near closing time, but I hope they get more traffic. There are some very good finds to be had if you take a look around. This is a bit far from home for me but I'll be back when I'm in the area. They only lose a star for having some confusing pricing (I had to ask twice for clarification on what things cost). I'm sure this will be sorted out soon enough, as the store was brand new.

After two days, we started noticing the scarf was pilling and fraying on the edges. Panicked, I put it away and felt horrible, too scared to wear it again. This present was planned for and we saved for it. When I got home to Vancouver, I took the scarf to Burberry on Alberni, met Cathy Chen and she referred me to Lina Choi. Lina was gracious, understanding and kind and did something I had not expected. She cleaned my scarf, de-pilled it and made it look brand new. I was so surprised. "Wear it. Love it. It's meant to be worn," she said. She was absolutely right. Thank you Lina, Cathy and Tomas Bernstein for the excellent human connection.

Came in here just before my walk over to the Brooks Brothers store…read more I can't believe that this store has been around since the opening of the Shangri-la Hotel and I STILL did not go in yet. I even went on a guided walking tour of the hotel when it first opened. Anyway, the Burberry store is nice, clean, brightly lit and all. The men's section was maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the entire store, meaning a lot more stuff was devoted to ladies. Suffice to say, there wasn't too much selection for men. What I did like were some of the overcoats. Grrrrr......... I have too many already!!!!!! The sales associate was good at first. She let me look around giving me space. The bad was when she tried to start pulling out all kinds of other overcoats when I looked at ONE. She only pulled out one, but I knew what was about to happen. The standard subtle sales push by showing other similar items that she THINKS I may be looking for. Similar but not quite the same thing as what the guy at Giorgio's did to me. I hate that. What she could have done instead was to say: "Sir, if you would like, I can show you some other styles. If not, I will not interrupt you and you can call me if you need assistance." That said, different strokes for different folks. To be fair, some peeps like to be tended to hand and foot by sales associates. Maybe I'll go in there again to see what the spring stuff will look like. They may have some more selection once all the winter stuff clears out.
