Ziebart stripped and installed a new tint on my windshield. Although I did have an issue with their installation, I took it back to them, and the stood by their warranty with no question, and they made it a priority to get the problem resolved. The quality of the finished tint is great. Although they are a bit pricier than the competition, this is the fourth vehicle we have taken to them for tinting. Terrible rust proofing. Miss half the parts, including the parts most vulnerable to rust, poor application. Don't believe their false advertising. and they don't mention to you they drill holes in your vehicle door jambs to spray interior panels, instead of using factory points. The undercoating spray is a joke, and they tend to over spray getting spray on your engine, transmission, doors, etc. very shabby Service application, be warned do not use this Zeibart service. I had to redo all they missed and clean up much of the mess they caused. waste of money. Anew Auto or Line X does a much better professional job at lower cost as well. This place is a complete joke. Took my car to get an annual service for a exterior gloss protection, rust inspection, and an application of fabric protection for my seats. They said my car would be done by 5pm, when I called right before 5pm, they said my car wouldn't be ready until 5:15-20 and never apologized or reached out that my car was going to be a little longer. When I picked up my car, it was a very quick exchange and was told to have a good rest of my day (which did not happen). When I got home, I looked at what they did to my car and was very happy with the exterior of my car/the gloss protection. When I went to look at all my seats, that's when I knew they messed something up. They spilt some type of mineral spirts in the back seat of my car (image below) and left my whole car smelling of mineral spirts and several other marked spots (images below). Also they used one of my reusable bags to cover up the spill and stain so I wouldn't initially see it. Which would explain why they never told me to come picked up my car until I called. I immediately tried to contact the store but they were already closed, so I left a voicemail. When I called the next day, a lady named Harmony answered and I expressed my concerns from the day before and about my recent service. When I mentioned I left a voicemail, she responded that they never gotten one. (Lies) And while trying to explain my frustrations about the call she kept rudely interrupting me over the phone and cutting me off. (Which is not professional at all or how you handle costumer service). She also kept making excuses for the service, like people have sensitive noses to the chemicals they use and kept trying to deny the spillage in the back, even though she was not the one who serviced my car. She then got rude after I asked for her name and number, while still cutting me off. Still waiting back for a response from their actual customer service because I guess it's independently own and the cooperate number Harmony gave me told me they have their own customer service line. So I have been running circles trying to get these issues resolved. I will not be coming back to get my annual service here again. I would advice going some place else or just a place that owns up to there mistakes. read more

This place is a joke. Got my car detailed here. I think I would have rather just had them spit in my face, not touch my car, and only charge me half. The work was unforgivable. Not they missed something. Not a mistake. This is a place that doesn't care. The have no standards and take no pride in their work. After telling them how unsatisfied I was with their work, they told me I should be happy because they should have charged me more to have my car not detailed. Then they said they would fix it and I should come back in a few hours. I came back and my car had what seemed like deliberate damage done to it. Stay away. I have had rustproofing and Diamond Gloss applied to many vehicles over the last 15+ years and had renewal yearly on 3 vehicles each year without problems. I have been very satisfied till personal care has deteriorated over the last 2 years. it appears that Corporate mindset has invaded another excellent business. Knowing that now "scheduling" renewal service requires 6+ weeks ahead planning, I recently had renewal done that was scheduled 2+ months ahead and was told to bring in vehicle at 9 AM to avoid the 8 AM rush. I wrongly expected a 3-4 hour job to be finished by early afternoon. Finally was able to get vehicle at 5 PM. When I inquired how to assure more timely "scheduling of an appointment" I was told that they serviced 33 vehicles that day and 16 were for dealers' new cars that apparently take priority. The private customer base is taking a back seat. When I asked what the words "schedule an appointment" mean, I was told that means your vehicle will be done that day. When you drop off your vehicle, it simply gets in line behind whatever was dropped off overnight and arrive before whenever you were told to bring in yours. I was told that "services from this time on are an all-day affair." I strongly suggest that this change be clearly communicated and that "scheduling an appointment" actually only means what all-day you would like in 6+ weeks. Recently called to inquire about having our new Challenger Widebody ceramic coated, windows tinted and paint protection film added to the front bumper, mirrors and all the widebody fender flares. Was quoted $495 for the ceramic coating and told they would give me an estimate on the protective film when I brought the car. Took the car and was told the ceramic coating was $1495(mistake by new employee I was told but he also said it would take 2 days for that service) and then after looking at the car for the paint protection film was given a quote on that work as well. Told them to forget the ceramic coating but to do the rest. Was told that it would be 2 days, went to pick it up after calling to confirm it was ready or going to be ready. Drove an hour and it was not done and was told they would need another day. Picked it up when it was done and noticed later the rear fender flares were not done. Called back and was told that they had told me they would not do the back fender flares, that was the main purpose for the protective coating to protect the rear fenders- they will get the most road debris. My invoice says front bumper, mirrors and flares.(not front flares). They basically said they did what they had agreed to do. Have had them do several cars in the past, but this will be our last at this location. read more

Poor Service, poor management, poor policies... Ordered a truck liner for a brand new truck. It didn't fit correctly, and they wouldn't provide a refund. I was never told that "Special" orders are non-refundable. It wasn't on any signage, the receipt, and the sales person didn't mention it. The manager was extremely rude and uncooperative. After pulling the liner out myself, I found that they left limbs and debris under it. So... they didn't even clean the bed out before putting in the liner. This ended up scratching the bed that I was trying to protect. After contacting corporate, they instructed me to go back in and they'd replace the liner. (Still No Refund) I won't be doing that, since they've already ruined my truck bed. Don't waste your time or money. You'll be very disappointed. read more

I had diamond gloss protection at Ziebart Lafayette on my new car recently. Diamond Gloss includes paint protections, road noise barrier, interior leather protections and 11 car washes. The paint protection application that is claimed to last for the life of the vehicle sounds like a marketing trick that aims at fouling people. I was not notified that this claim is based on annual re-applications. At the end, the need for annual re-applications is neither in small prints, nor hidden in any other way. Therefore, Ziebart's actual claim on the durability of the Diamond Gloss is for a year or less. Well, I am okay with that. Since they provide a written warranty for one year, renewable if the owner of the car gets the coat re-applied (at 50% discount on the initial cost). The problem is that before they applied the paint protection, they did not wash my car well enough. Even, some bug's dirt on the paints were still there, they applied the paint protections so the protection covered the dirt spots. That was really bad as a professional car detailing service. Then, when they applied leather conditioner for interior protections, they missed a lot of places. To me, I feel it was quite expensive for the service I got. I was not happy for their job done on my car. Note: Ziebart Rhino from other cities might offer a better service. Unfortunately, Lafayette Ziebart is not a good one for your car although their customer service is good. read more

I had them install a Tanau Cover for me. In the process the mechanic left a 6" gash in my paint. I showed the manager. He asked the mechanic and he said he didn't do it. I have had the truck literally 2 weeks I think I would of spotted this scratch on the drivers side. I used my fingernail to see how deep it was and there was still powder from the clear coat. Ziebart has detailed my truck twice now. Will not go back! The underneath of all my doors are still dirty, back window dirty. Paid big money, they couldn't even stray off my car mats, plus they didn't even spray out the truck bed. For what you pay for them to do the cleaning of your vehicle and it's still dirty. Highly disappointed. I had the undercoating put on. Overspray onto a lot of things that weren't supposed to be covered like: fenders, chrome bumper, shocks and rims. I would have thought those would have been covered before they sprayed. They missed a spot That I noticed after inspecting the undercoating. They ordered the incorrect weathertech floormats also. They said when I asked about the shocks being covered in undercoating that it would just flake off over time, which is just an excuse not to do the work right the first time I believe. Bought a brand new 2019 Volkswagen SEL Premium Jetta in October of 2019. The salesmen suggested a tinting package from Zeibart. I get migraines often and severely so tinting is a must. We added the package and set up a Saturday to get it done in a few weeks. Salesmen said they do a good job and should be great. Get over to Zeibart to have the tint put on and decided to upgrade to the ceramic tinting to reduce heat in the summer too. Great, that is an added bonus! After hours of sitting around with no updates the car was finally done. We were told to not roll down the windows, which isn't a big deal. I pointed out that there were some spots that looked like the tint wasn't holding on very well but was told it was normal. Give it a few weeks and it will go away. I had a long work trip coming up so not a big deal. Come back from my work trip and the back windshield tint looked even worse and back driver window clearly didn't get better. Called them right away and they set up another appointment for us to come in. Which isn't a small feat since we live in Peru, IN and the shop is in Lafayette, IN. They said they will redo it and it'll be great after. They redo the tint. Back looks minimally better. Went to pick up my grandparents for a nice lunch and open the back door for my grandmother then I notice it... a large piece of string stuck in my tint. Seriously, this is a redo and you let that happen? Call back and get another appointment. Go back in and talk to a TJ. He assures me that multiple people will check the tint before it leaves. My wife and I piddle around the area. Walking to Sam's Club and then to lunch. In between TJ informs me that the tint wasn't up to par and he was redoing it again. Seemed like they were really taking care of it this time. Right as we finished lunch we got a call that it was done. We walked back over and I walk straight to my car. First thing that I notice is a ton of compound all over the trunk lid of my car. Look a little more and see it all over the back. Seriously, you're going to let a car come out looking like you set a ton of stuff all over my trunk too? They assure me this is just baby powder. Guy comes out with a cloth and smears it all over the trunk. Great.. now it is really ground in. Finally I ask if the manager is around.. of course not. The assistant manager is there and she assures me it's just baby powder and there is no problem. The problem is that it is even there that thick on my trunk of a brand new car. She blows it off from there and I immediately leave and get the car washed. Get to looking at my back seat and the back of the front seats are scuffed up now from what I assume is someone digging their boots into my leather. Back windshield looks about like it did the last two times so I'm looking forward to a few weeks from now when I get to do it all over again. Going to see if there is a corporate number and talk with them. All in all, poor service and poor management. Tinted my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2015 and recently had to have the windshield replaced due to a rock chip. I called back to see if they could tell me what percentage tint was completed last time and to match the previous job. But was told that they do not keep records of the tint percentage on file, but rather only the "smoke" tint. How can you not keep a record of the main reasoning for being suppliers to your customers? Guess I can go anywhere now since even Ziebart isnt going to guarantee a match. read more

I recently purchased a pre-owned car and wanted remote start. Ziebart Lafayette was highly recommended, and I believe they have earned a great reputation. I got exactly the system I needed and they did a great job on the install. I also had them do interior detailing and I am pleased with the job they did on the carpeting and leather seats. The carpet is slightly damp inside, but I am sure it will dry out fine parked in the sun. They might want to explore a dry cleaning method for the carpeting. It looks great! The customer service factor was excellent and they showed me how to operate the remote start and explained the guarantee thoroughly. read more

DO NOT USE THIS ZIEBARTS! I had a remote starter installed at Ziebarts on Creasy Lane in Lafayette, IN. A few weeks later my car doors would not lock and the side mirror lights and interior lights remained on. I brought it back to the car dealership and was told the problem was caused because when the remote starter was installed the pink wire was spliced, which it should not have been. It cost $250 for the repair. I got a receipt detailing this information and brought it to Ziebarts for reimbursement. The store manager, Matt (he refused to give his last name and said he does not have business cards - RED FLAG), said they will not reimburse me because I should have brought my car back to them for repair as per my warranty. I had my warranty with me, which clearly states if I have any problems with the remote starter I had to bring it there for repair. I said I was not having a problem with my remote starter, but rather the problem was with the doors locking and lights remaining on. He said it didn't matter, I should have brought it there and he would not reimburse me. I said they are not an auto repair shop, so how would I know they could fix a door and lights problem. He again said it didn't matter, I should have brought it to them, and they would not be reimbursing me. I asked for the owners name and he said the owner told them not to give out his name - RED FLAG. Any owner not willing to give his name must be running a shady operation. Legitimate business owners are proud of their business and want to do the right thing for the customer. They want to be sure the customer is happy. I told him we would not back to do any further business with them and he just shrugged his shoulders, so obviously they don't care about the customer or their product at all. Their detailing was not so detailed. I ran my finger across the side of my door, and it had of back stuff on it. There was still dust on the buttons in my car, and they did not clean the one thing I specifically told them I wanted done. I had some spots from lemonade on my car; I asked the manager Matt Crabtree if he could remove them. First he said they would only do the scratch and scuff package if I also got the diamond gloss and gave me a $149.99 discount. So they did the scratch & scuff when that did not work he said the car would need the high speed polishing and it would remove all of the stains. I asked him would it damage the car, he said no. I asked would it remove all of the stains he said YES. When he brought the car to me all he could say "doesn't it look good and feel how soft the car feels with the diamond gloss". It wasn't until after that evening I noticed all of the spots all over my hood, they never came off. I drove back the next day and demanded my money back he said no. When I asked for the owners name he and his woman assistant told me no; that I would have to deal with him only. Well I am filing fraud charges and contacting the BBB. read more

She was rude and made us feel unwelcomed. We went to a local business that honored the dealerships deal we had been told and so we are also getting a back up camera and digital screen added with this company. We will be suggesting to the dealership to refer customers to this other business from now on. Called to see how much it was for an interior detail. I was quoted a sell price so I made an appointment. Took my car in at my appointment time and they were very busy. The receptionist went out with me to inspect my car, took me inside and went over how much it was going to be with a surcharge and tax. I signed the paper and left. 15 minutes later she called me and said it was going to be $60 more than the price I had signed off on because they were going to need to use some extra chemicals on the carpets that had stains. $60 for a few squirts of stain remover, I think NOT! I went and picked up my car and am going else where. read more

very disappointed! I got the Rhino bed liner installed on my truck and the tailgate is all bubbled. The technician admits it was greasy and he probably didnt get it clean enough when he applied the liner which is why it bubbles. They tell me it will be at least a week before they can get me in to fix it! Funny thing..when i made the appointment to get it installed yesterday they had openings all week! I recently brought in 3 vehicles this spring, two trucks and one SUV. I had numerous services done for each including Glossy Coat applications, interior detail/carpet treatments, rhino lining and truck bed cover installation with carpet lining. I was very pleased with the final outcomes for each vehicle! The glossy coat finish is one I particularly like because all vehicles we brought in were black and this keeps them looking brand new after each wash! I had my truck undercoated and they sprayed everything. they got it on the plastic fender wells my paint and door moldings. well almost everything they smiled spots all over the place and put it on so thick it drips everywhere and looks terrible. they drive it out while wet through gravel drive that sticks the travel to everything. they argued about the mess and when finally cleaning it up scratched my paint. Didn't want to buff them out so now I have to pay someone to do it. read more

I recently had my car detailed (both inside and outside) at Ziebart in Lafayette. The service is very friendly and included courtesy car rides between Ziebart and my residence. The staff put a fair amount of pressure to sell their special packages (for example the diamond gloss protection). One element I am really unhappy about is that my car was still very wet inside. For several days my clothing has been wet (first day) and really damp (next days) after driving the car. The floor mats had been put in the trunk on the trunk liner in order to dry. What no-one told me was that the mat under the trunk liner was equally soaked. It's several days later, I am still driving around without any mats in the car and the floor and trunk are still damp. I have had my car detailed at other places before and always received a dry car afterwards. Poor job Ziebart. Obviously cracking open the windows as you suggested is not doing the trick and I am worried about mold developing in the car. In short, if you go for inside detailing at Ziebart, make sure that your car is really dry inside before accepting it back. read more

I decided to have my new minivan rust protected and stain guarded on the inside- to protect it against 3 KIDS! So I call Ziebarts where the manager proceeds to tell me all about it. So helpful on the phone! Kudos on that! I make an appointment to bring in my car and he tries to sell me more services and even though I continue to tell him no. How many times do you have to say to mean it? At Ziebarts it's not ONCE! I leave it most of the day and when I come to pick it up the bird poop he assured me they were going to clean off the car is still there. I mention it and he goes to clean it off himself. All fine and good! Problem #1 solved. On my paperwork I notice he says gettting the van detailed is $99.00 and on the phone he told me I would be locked in at $75, but he proceeds to change it since he told me wrong. Problem # 2 solved. I head to the dry cleaner and think to myself, I should have checked to see if they cleaned the chocolate stain off the back seat. Did I mention it was a NEW minivan? I look and it's still there! The plastic parts of the car have dirt on them I can wipe off with my sleeve. Did they even make an effort? They stain guarded the stain into the NEW seat! I call and ask why they did not clean before they stain guarded since the package included a detail. He said there was a miscommunication, but I can bring it anytime and it will take 3 MORE hours. I explain I have an infant and he NICELY offers to pick it up the next morning. Although, if they would have done the job right it wouldn't have to go in again. Problem # 3 in progression of being solved. Problem # 4- They pick it up and clean and bring it back with NO phone call. I was rocking my baby to sleep in the nursery where you cannot hear the doorbell. So, they decide at this point rather than call me that they will just leave the van in driveway with the doors unlocked and the keys hidden in the car. Oh yeah, did I mention someone broke into my husband car on the driveway and stole my sons Ipod and few other things out of it a few months ago. I call upset and yet he can't seem to understand why. He says they have the best customer service and if I find better he wants to tell him where. I hate having to bring attention to imcomplete and undone work several times. I guess 4 problems with one service call is good customer service for them. If their customer satisfaction is so high, then why am I UNsatified with mine? read more
