Don't waste your money on rust proofing at Ziebart, and don't use the Bloomington MN store. Had it done on my 2016 silverado with 300 miles on it. Took it in every year for the annual touch up. 2 of the years they had to touch it up again because they missed a lot of areas. I crawled underneath and have pictures. !0 years down the road with 100,000 miles on it, it is starting to rust about the rear wheels like many others of the same year. Their warranty is over at 10 years and they will fix the rusty areas if you can prove it is rusting from the inside by saying an awl must be able to push through the rusty spots. I complained that they didn't even take the plugs out inside of the wheel wells to get the rust proofing where it needs to go and was told there are not any plugs, but I can feel them. Also I just purchased a different box for my truck and imagine that! There are plugs above the wheel wells! The manager was friendly to me until I starting questioning about the rust and the warranty. I don't need that kind of customer service. I will not be giving them anymore of my hard earned money, they have enough of it! read more

They did an amazing job doing a full executive level detailing of my explorer inside and out. I bought the truck used and it needed some TLC getting out minor stains on the carpet and get the leather seats cleaned up. when I picked up the car in the morning the car looked brand new and gorgeous. My only request was they install my new floor mats when done as they are the custom fitted weather techs. They left them in the back end. I quickly realized why because the carpets needed more drying time. Also a bit of advice to anyone wanting inside detailing of your car including shampooing. Don't do it when the lows are going to be around -7 F. I needed my truck at 5am after working an overnight shift, but the extra damp air from the carpets drying and the extreme cold at night caused the inside of all my windows to freeze over and it took about 45 minutes till the cab warmed up enough to drive. Terry (THE MANAGER ) was very rude when I asked what tint would match the factory tint of the back windows of my vehicle. He said 23% or 26% would be close. Without continuing the conversation and not saying a word (or me deciding which tint to go with) he walked out of the terrible waiting area/Terry's desk area that has 2 chairs in it and is maybe 10×20 in size. He walked back in the shop and gave my keys to one of the workers. Maybe 30 min later someone came and got my truck. Did I mention I had an appointment 30 min earlier... the tint looks good so far and seems to be good quality. Needless to say I won't be going back there. To me it seemed like TERRY didn't want to be there and had better things to do like watch videos on his computer at obnoxious volumes in the small waiting area... read more

We had an interior/exterior detail job done on a car. We were told that they would call when the car was done. They didn't, so we called and then went to pick up the car immediately. Apparently, it had rained and they parked it outside, so when we went to get the car just a few hours after dropping it off, it looked worse on the outside than when we had dropped it off. They did a nice job on the inside, but when we mentioned that the outside looked like crap, they told us to run it through a car wash and it would look better. What?!? read more

Ziebart in Bloomington gave me the quote on the phone. I happened to see a special. I delivered my SUV at the time they requested and within 5 minutes I saw my car going around the corner to be worked on. Great instructions on after car care. Everything went very smooth. The waiting area had cushioned armchairs which worked great until my ride arrived. My bill was waiting with the special pricing. I talked to 2 gentlemen I believe one was the Manager. Had the 90th street location undercoat our car, and I was not pleased with their work. At first glance, the areas that were easy to see were coated very well. However, I had them hoist my vehicle up so I could inspect their workmanship and I found 2 very large areas that weren't even coated, big enough for my hand to fit inside. I also found several other smaller spots under my vehicle that they missed with the undercoating. They did touch up the areas that I showed them. The job they did looked as though they did a rush job, that or they just didn't care. Which ever the case I know that they will not be getting anymore business from me. Flat out rudeness and bad customer service. Came in to have a window re-tinted after my car was broken into. I will say I was slightly late, but when I made the appointment it was discussed as more of a ballpark time. Guy was rude the entire time I was in there. Annoyed that I hadn't gone through them to fix window glass (they couldn't accommodate doing it and I needed a window), annoyed about going through insurance. At first said I'd have to pay to get reimbursed after paying for it myself, but that changed after talking to my rep. When I said I wanted to wait while it was done (which was what I discussed on the phone), he told me it would take 1.5 to 2 hours, which wasn't what the person I'd spoken with before said (1/2 hour to 45 mins). His response: "You expect to show up a half hour late and walk right in? This isn't McDonalds." There is a better way to handle this. If my being a little late meant that they could no longer fit me in the time frame we'd discussed, I would understand. He could have said, "I'm sorry sir, it looks like this appointment will no longer work. Can you reschedule?" OR "We had you booked for a little earlier, but let me see what I can do." (and then actually blown me away with great customer service) There were no other customers in the waiting room. I had one rear side window to get tinted... Needless to say I'll be going elsewhere for this repair and anything like it in the future. read more

I was excited to go in for my window tinting on my classic car. The guy said he couldn't guarantee the film from collecting dust particles when they would apply the film. I said, "You have a warranty". He replied, "Well can't try to redo it forever." They lost me as a customer; for I was going to have them install a remote starter on my Ford. I told a buddy of mine who WAS going to take his car in next week, of August 2018, and he will not do business with them from my experience. They lost two customers within 6 hours. read more

I've now received 3 messages from the manager of this location (Terry S, see the only 5 star review of Ziebart, until Yelp removes it) through Yelp - 2 "compliments" and one private message, each stating: "would you buy hamburger at cub and take it to mcdonalds to cook it?". I guess he's suggesting that it's inappropriate to ask Ziebart to install a remote starter purchased elsewhere, although apparently it's a service they perform, albeit with a 1 month + delay. Have used this location twice-once a year ago and then this past October for interior/exterior detailing. Both times my reaction was WOW! The Ziebart crew performed admirably! It's like getting back a new car! Terry was professional and courteous to deal with as well. (I should note, I showed up on time for my appointments.) When I came back later with a floor mat I had forgotten the day of the detailing, they were kind enough to stop and power clean it for me on the spot. If you are having a detailing done, plan on getting a ride-it does take time-but the results are worth it. Overall, a very good experience. read more

Great place, have used it for 20 years on all my vehicles for undercoating and never had an issue. Once I used a competitor on a Honda Odyssey recommended by the dealer that rusted in four years. Brought my 2015 truck in for undercoating last year and today was tinting. Both jobs I made an appointment for, dropped it off when I said I would, it was ready when they said it would and went smoothly. Terry, I can't understand why anyone would say anything bad about this guy. He always goes above and beyond including the tinting. He talked at great length about what I would want to go with, (dogs in the topper area needed extra dark tint), and the work is done right the first time every time I have used them. Would only use this place for my future needs and highly recommend to anyone else. read more

I want to warn you about the customer service at the place!!! Worst I ever had in my life! The front desk clerk completely rude and inappropriate. When asked a simple question about warranty on the parts started yelling, really and implying that I am the thief and trying to "SCAM HIM", then he went on loudly talking to the customer in line rudely and making false statements about me. It was bizarre and very tasteless. We had a starter installed in our car at this place. Ever since the car randomly locks and unlocks all the doors, on the occasion the engine keeps on running after the key is turned to off position and removed from the ignition. It is not feeling safe! The fobs for the starter stopped working after a first season, changing batteries did not fix the problem, they simply were "junks" and felled apart. They also look like they belong in the museum. I would never recommend this place for the service and they don't honor their warranties. read more

Do NOT get your windows tinted here. I took my car here to get the windows tinted because it was close to my work and reasonably priced. Terry, who I believe manages the place, could not have been more rude to deal with, that should have been my first warning sign. They tinted the windows and after a month I had small white bubbles on every single window. I stopped by one day and the guy who does the actual tinting looked at it and said to make an appointment and he would make it right. I made an appointment and unfortunately when I dropped my car off Terry was the only one there. Terry looked at my windows and said "we will just take the tint off and refund your money because I am not going to waste 6 hours re-tinting your windows". I was shocked that he didn't want to make this right and fix their poor job to begin with. I have had the windows tinted on every car I have owned and have never had problems with bubbles. I took my car to a different place in Minnetonka who did a great job. They told me the reason I had so many bubbles from Ziebart is because they don't have a clean environment to tint the windows in. Ziebart does rust proofing, exterior detailing, etc., so they have lots of debris floating around in the air in the same shop space they use to tint windows, which causes small debris to get trapped in the tint and causes the white bubbles I was seeing. I believe it, the Ziebart shop looks filthy compared to the place in Minnetonka that I took my car. I am glad they gave me my money back, but I still wasted a lot of time dealing with this place and would never go back based on the rude customer service and poor job that they did. read more

I've never felt more belittled or disrespected as I did at this place. The store manager is very arrogant and sarcastic. I took my new Jeep Wrangler there Friday, January 17, 2014, for undercoating, auto start and protective film over rear fenders. I picked it up at 5 p.m. On Saturday I noticed it had undercoating overspray all over the aluminum rims, bottom sides of the doors, front and back bumpers, and several other places. I returned to Ziebarts on Monday the 20th. The store manager wouldn't walk outside with me to look at the overspray but was adamant that it wasn't their product. It was their product, I'm not an idiot. I have a white Jeep, their undercoating is black. The overspray is the same material they sprayed on the bottom of the Jeep. After he stood there arguing with me for 15 minutes, he agreed to "clean it up" and said he would need the Jeep for the day so he could spray it off with a pressure washer and clean up the overspray. I made my appointment for January 31, 2014. I arrived and the manager again denied the overspray being their product. He told me it was from the transmission, road spray or brake dust. I didn't go there to argue with him again. I told him it was his product. He was very arrogant and walked around the counter with a spray bottle and rag and said to show him the areas in question. It was 8 below zero, we had 6 inches of snow the day before, the roads were a mess and my Jeep was dirty. Now he wants to spray a liquid on my dirty Jeep, covered in snow, road spray and wipe it with a rag??!?! WHAT!??! The store manager spoke to me with great disrespect. My hubby was standing just inside the door and had about all he could take of his tone, attitude and the BS he was feeding me. Words were exchanged; the store came around the counter, got in my husband's face, nose to nose, and said "get out of my store!" I didn't trust them with my Jeep so I returned home with it. I will never use their service again! The store manager needs to educate himself on customer service and adjust his attitude. I never wish ill on anyone so I hope his wife, sister, mother, daughter or granddaughter never experience anything like how he treated me. Thank you Terry S at Ziebart - you are a true gem! read more
