My care with Bob Doane and the Acupuncture & Wellness Center staff began over 20 years ago. I whole…read moreheartedly give them 10 gold stars for superb health care. I have 100% trust and faith in Bob Doane and his staff to provide the highest quality acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs. A few years ago I had a severe MRSA infection that was healed from the inside out by acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs WITHOUT surgery or pharmaceuticals!!! Over 30 years ago I ended up with a severe circulation impairment in my lower leg and other skin and tissue issues following a botched knee surgery. I was told by medical professionals that there was no way to fix it short of amputation! Guess what? I tried acupuncture treatments and proper circulation returned to my leg and today I still enjoy the benefits of two legs. If I were ever diagnosed with cancer or some other serious health condition I would NOT go to an oncologist or specialist first... I would go to Bob and have him perform his pulse diagnosis. I would then go through a series of acupuncture treatments and herbs to see how my condition was doing following those treatments. If, at that time, Bob said I should see an oncologist or other specialist then I would do that. However, I would also continue the acupuncture and herbs as an adjunct to health and healing during that time. Western medicine, as we know it, has been around for a few hundred years. Chinese medicine has been around for several thousand years and is still relevant today. Unfortunately, pharmaceutical companies control the medical schools' curriculum and so doctors are only taught how to give pills. Thus, modern medicines that are based on chemicals are prescribed. Before there were pharmaceutical companies, our early ancestors relied on healers who used plants for healing. I am a proponent of supplements, herbs, and other forms of holistic healing such as chiropractic adjustments. I am firmly opposed to being prescribed pills as a first resort that can have anywhere from 10-35 side effects per prescription to which you will then require additional pharmaceutical pills to handle those side effects, and thus this pharmaceutical hamster wheel process goes on and on and on. As we know it, is our Western medicine the only way to get healthy? I say no! Give acupuncture and Chinese herbs a try. You owe it to yourself and your family. And be sure to share this marvelous health opportunity to your friends!!!

I especially love staring up at the skylight in her healing room when it is raining, something very calming about it. I always feel better after seeing Sage and take all her advise. If she says to eat more protein, I do and it does make a difference. Sage's office is warm and inviting and will put you at ease. If you haven't tried acupuncture before I highly recommend that you try it and see what Sage can fix for you!

I am so confident in her skills, techniques & knowledge of TCM that I actually recommend her to colleagues who live an hour away. From her jovial, joyous nature to her gentle needling technique, Sage is a wonderful acupuncturist who has never batted an eye at the variety of ailments I have brought in-- knee injury, hand injury, ankle injury, (I'm accident prone & ride horses, what can I say? :) migraines, stress, cramps, you name it, Sage has a way to help. Her treatment options aren't limited to acupuncture, btw. For the majority of her patients, she uses Traditional Chinese herbs to decrease symptoms of a disease or ailment, improve health and promote balance. She counsels about dietary modifications as well as lifestyle & meditation. Lastly, she teaches Qigong (pronounced Chee Gong) which sort of looks like Tai Chi and are attended by young and old. Sage sees patients in Silverdale (off Newbury Hill) though for established patients, you may be able to see her in Suquamish. To make an appointment, you can either call or email and she will normally get back to you quite promptly. Email (from her website) is sage@laughingdragonwellness.com She's the best.
