We had a friend tell us on a regular basis how great this buffet is, so we went! The 2 gentlemen that greeted us and waited on us were fantastic! The sushi bar was wonderful, the seaweed salad was the best! Fresh and presented nicely. The soups were hot and sour, egg drop and won ton. I tried the egg drop which was light and tasty. We did arrive close to 3 pm and I felt some of the food was a bit chewy from time. Variety was awesome. The tea we had to drink was gold peak green tea which I buy by bottles and here it's fountain! My hubby left for the men's room and the gentlemen came to talk. I mentioned it was his birthday and this is what he wanted! I went back only once trying most dishes. We rested and were going to get dessert. Well the 2 gentlemen came out with their dessert cakes and treats to make a festive bd dessert. They sang happy birthday to him which was a classy act. I left a substantial tip as I felt our meals were special! Bathrooms were clean as was the entire building. We will return to eat again, but trying to hit there closer to noon for fresh hot food! I prefer to judge a chinese food restaurant by one simple staple. The egg roll. This is becuase if a restaurant cares enough to create a decent eggroll, they will likely care enough to put out great food. I visited on 12.30.24 for one order of egg rolls to go. They were old and lukewarm. Apparently instead of making me my personal order, they simple took them off the buffet. I cut the egroll in half, and some grey goo presented itself with what looked like cabbage and perhaps pork. I ate one of the tepid appetizers and immediately knew i would not eat the second. This is the first time i threw an egg roll in the trash becuase it was awfull. 0 out of ten, when you cant even eat it. read more

Of the two Chinese buffets in town, I must say this is the one I prefer. Pricing is more reasonable, and I personally think the food is a bit superior. In particular, they have really yummy chicken teriyaki sticks, sesame pastry balls with red bean paste, garlic green beans, and thin mei fun noodles with veggie that are nice and light, not too oily, and fresh. My boyfriend likes the fried/meaty stuff and I'm more of a veggies and noodles person, and there's plenty of options so we're both happy. Also the atmosphere is nice, with the building getting natural sunlight, so it's cheery and relaxed inside. Music is good volume, not too loud. Service is exceptionally friendly and attentive; the people here are real sweethearts. Zhang's is definitely our new favorite spot for a little treat. Thanks, guys! :-) read more

This is my new favorite buffet in Gorham. They have all the standard fare - egg rolls, crab rangoon, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, general tso's, etc. What I really loved is the Mala Beef which is an authentic Szechuan dish I've never seen at a buffet before. Also, the sushi selection was very impressive - they had around a dozen different kinds of rolls. They also had an ice cream freezer and the standard desserts you'd expect to see. This place is very clean and the staff are very nice. Dinner cost me $17.50 but it's more than worth it if you eat Mala Beef and Sushi. The food also tastes very fresh. This will now be my regular stop for Chinese in Gorham. Highly recommended. read more

When my wife and I went to Zang's Buffet, we thought that it would be just OK considering it was in the small town of Gorham NH. We were blown away by the quality and variety of food there. Everything was delicious and amazingly fresh. After we had great Hot and Sour Soup, we tried lots of the available items including shrimp, chicken, fish, sushi and the fresh fruit desserts. Everything was delicious. We cannot recommend Zang's highly enough. The staff is attentive and helpful. They really care about the quality of food and presentation. We live a 35 minute drive away, but feel that it is really worth the trip to get spectacular Chinese food perfectly prepared. read more

Highly recommend! My girlfriend is Chinese and raised in San Francisco and had good things to say about the food. Not top of the line but still very good quality. Staff was very nice. They have someone full time making sushi which was very good and included in the price. Beer was also very reasonably priced. Interior renovation was great with bright colors and lights. Tables and chairs were decent quality and comfortable. Definitely an unexpected and awesome find in northern NH!! read more

Tried this a couple weeks ago for the first time. The people were super nice and bent over backwards to greet, seat and serve. The inside was nicely decorated. I don't eat sushi, so did not try that. Compared to other Chinese buffets, the food variety and quality was just not there. It was not very busy, so lack of freshness was understandable. There were only green beans for vegetables, which were good, crunchy and bright green. Most other dishes were battered fried boneless chicken with sauces. There was some naked fish in sauce I don't try. The salad bar was small. Fried rice was dry and white with little diced carrots and peas mixed in... Not what you would expect it to look like.The desserts looked really good, fancy and colorful, but were dry and tasteless. Ice cream was little Hoodsies in cups. It felt a little weird to have the employees watching you, sort of hovering, waiting for an empty dish to take away. At $12.95 lunch, it was somewhat disappointing. read more
