My first few trips were great, but my last few, not so much. For the first few trips, I received the customer service typical for a small, local shop. I was greeted, helped, we made small talk, and I was in and out. The last few times varied based on who happened to be on shift at the time. I'm always greeted and asked if I need help, but during those less than stellar visits, the sales person was distracted, taking a personal call via their earpiece instead of answering questions and addressing concerns. As always, I wish them the best, but I will likely be finding another small local spot to support my "girls day at my house" liquor needs.

My best interactions with him consist of me not disturbing him and then him telling me how much I owe. All of the other people that work there are great but too often it is Mr. Grumpy. My latest interaction with him was today when I walked in with a broken arm and asked him if he had a case of McCormicks. I usually get it myself but because of my situation, I needed help. His response was a grumpy "I have no idea". This is pretty standard for him if you ask him any questions. Even the people that work there refer to him as the grumpy old man. I asked him if he could help me get it to my car which was parked right in front, backed in with the trunk open. It would take him less then 15 seconds to step out and drop it in. His response was "I have customers so you need to wait". He had one person in there when I showed up who was still perusing and another who walked in when I asked the question. I do not know if he is part owner, but if not, you need to get rid of this guy or at least give him some customer service training. I will be shopping at The Liquor Shoppe across the street. My wife loves that so she was happy. When we sat down it took a while for us to get menus. The server a young girl apologized 3 times before we got to order. When we finally ordered about 10 minutes later I got the CFS and my wife got a burger and fries. We suddenly noticed a large group of 24 people came in together and a few other small groups at the same time. I thought oh no this girl can't handle who's here what is she going to do now. She told us she was the only server tonight. I got worried that we may never get our food. I have a thing about my food being Hot when I get it. I guess they must have called in some help. A new server delivered our food but we had no silverware. I tried my wife's fries while waiting and they were cold. Once I got the fork I tasted my mashed and they were ice cold. I had also asked for white gravy and she got me a new fresh mash that was hot. The CFS was good but not great. The batter was good but would not adhere to the steak. She pics below. During our conversation, I did share a couple suggestions and he welcomed hearing them. This place has a lot more potential to grow and by adding some social media exposure and maybe a couple other things. Let more people know what you're about. One thing I will tell you, the menu online does not match the current menu. So, please go with an open mind as to what might be offered. At five minutes before closing time, my wife apparently calls JFK Liquor (long distance) and asks for a favor. Since I'm going to be stuck there for our Anniversary she asks them to deliver a bottle of my favorite bourbon to the hotel. They not only delivered the bourbon, they decorated the bag and had it there before I checked in. You can't find service like this anymore. These people really care about their customers.
