Wow! This place is a relaxing & refreshing experiences ll at the same time. I was having an emotional week, very stressed, and decided to use a gift certificate I had received. I easily & quickly scheduled online. When I got to my appointment, Sylvia showed me the protocol, which was so simple, and I was soon floating in the heavens. When I was done with my float, I was planning to go get groceries, but I was too relaxed and had to drive straight home. I'm relatively new to floating, but after only a couple times, I was hooked. Epsom salt baths at home are fine, but floating takes it to a whole other level. I mean, who doesn't need time to relax and unwind, with no outside interaction, in a tub big enough to stretch out? Plus you don't have to clean it when you're through! Those things aside, the epsom salt is what works the magic. Magnesium sulfate is calming to the central nervous system as well as being absolutely essential for muscle relaxation. There's something like 800 lbs. of it dissolved in about twelve inches of water, which means you couldn't sink even if you wanted to. The effect is zero gravity -- total weightlessness. Turn off the lights so it's pitch black, and you have a formula for deep relaxation. It almost (not quite) replaces a massage! That explains my budding obsession with floating in general, but now as to why Zero Gravity has become my favorite place to do it . . . Sylvia is the owner and she is the person you will meet when you come in the door. She is kind and helpful, so you will feel at ease right away. Next you'll notice how clean the place is. Even before COVID came along, this place was all about cleanliness (as it most definitely should be), so I've never had a moment's unease about it. Next you will notice how quiet it is. When you're floating, what you DON'T need is voices or traffic noise intruding on your down time. Somehow she has cancelled that out. Nothing but silent darkness (or dimness, if you prefer). I am so glad I went here! I was in town for vacation while all the boys were skiing. I am pregnant and just got into my second trimester that week, so I was so sore from not being able to get massages for several months. Not only was the staff extremely helpful in setting up my appointment, she was beyond sweet when I was in and very accommodating. The building was very easy to find and the space was clean and cozy. Next time I'm in Bozeman, I will surely be back! read more
