Art did a terrific job on my master bath - flooring, shower, walls. He is very meticulous and the results were beautiful.

I don't know what his work quality is of "new". I wouldn't use him to fix a problem with tile. I don't think he has the patience for fixing tile problems. His suggestions when it didn't look good were going to make it looks worse. read more

Zephyr Tile did our hardwood floors, but there have been many problems...the flooring was not done properly and went right over the door jamb leaving the floor feeling uneven. There are uneven edges as well. The flooring went over the sewer line in the half bath that was converted to a closet and they didn't even bother to seal it off properly. We lifted the wood flooring and uncovered this. read more

Arthur Vasquez (Zephyr Tile) was contracted to do a complete remodel of our Huntington Beach home in June of 2017. We hired Zephyr Tile based on him doing a small tile job in our gated community and Art Vasquez's stated ability to do Canterra Tile Stone and Concrete countertops in the kitchen and baths. I was skeptical but my wife is a kind soul and wanted to give Art the opportunity to do the complete gutting of the residence and do the project. We left our home to Arizona and expected the work to be completed as stated before the holidays. The house is in a complete disarray, we paid the sub contractors (Plumber and Electrician) directly out of pocket. The Holidays came and went it is now Feb. 28, 2018 when I went to the house and found hardly any of the flooring had been completed, we were missing personal property and Arthur Vasquez was no where to be found. My kind wife told me she had been wiring Art monies to his account to complete the job in excess of $2500-$3000 a week and he then began telling her he needed $3000-$5000 a week to continue the work. I reminded my wife Art Vasquez was not an employee and was paid to do completed work. I found he uses his mothers residence as his business address and his mother refused to give me the address where he resided. I was contacted by the HUNTINGTON BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT to keep the peace so he could recover tools. I agreed because I wanted him out of our lives and was met by another HBPD and informed Art Vasquez would be delayed as he was arrested for an outstanding warrant for domestic violence. So $100,000 dollars later, I can't stress enough to keep away from this turd. Im told by a contractor who worked on the job that Art would be gone during the lunch hours and turn up late and drunk to their appointments to complete work at his request. Additionally Art picked up two Quartz slabs for the master bath shower and said he broke them strapping them down in his truck and was unable to pay to replace them ($7000) so what happened to his license, bonded and insured... I say total BS! I can see Art Vasquez found the time to do work for Tanya M. based on her review on 7/14/2017 when he was under contract to do our home as of 6/1/2017. Art Vasquez last day was when he was fired, and arrested for his domestic violence warrant on 2/28/2018... after 8 months on the job Art Vasquez, Zephyr Tile and your two flunkies...YOU SUCK! read more

We recently hired Art to do our bathroom tile for us. He was so nice to squeeze us in at the last minute, to get done in time for our tenants moving in. Art did a fantastic job! He removed our linoleum floor and installed porcelain tile for us. All the tiles are level and straight. He also worked with us in arranging them in the order we wanted, due to the crazy tile variation. The design came out beautifully with the swirls and lines together. Art came back again to grout a few days later. Great job on grout also! He also removed and reinstalled toilet for a small fee. Thanks Art! read more

I worked with Art recently to re-tile my master bathroom. This was no small project and includes a walk in roman tub/shower. I used both tile and glass decorative tile. Art's work was meticulous from the prep to the finish sealing. I am confident that my shower will stand for 100 years ! Art's price is fair , not the cheapest, but certainly fair. When I bought and remodeled my home, there were two projects I knew I needed an expert for: a brick façade wall and installation of hardwood flooring. Art at Zephyr TIle showed that he can adapt to any material and project. He was prompt to rush to my home to look at the projects and provide me an estimate on a tight deadline. His flexibility and professionalism shown through as the brick and wood material I had chosen proved difficult to work with. On top of that I had several other contractors in the house that he easily collaborated with. He conquered the tough characteristics of the job and mold them into a beautiful finished product. He also went over and beyond the call of duty several times, with going to pick up additional materials needed, shaving down a door to fit the extra height of the new material, and blending the new mortar with the old existing brick wall. It was the little things that were most impressive and crucial in completing a high quality finished product. I used him later for a unique granite window shelf at my chiropractic clinic. My master bath had a very unusual occurrence, in that the 12 X 12 tiles popped off the floor. I had many slab leaks in my home and thought here we go again. However, when Zephyr Tile evaluated the problem it was determined the previous contractor did not install correctly. Art at Zephyr Tile not only fixed the slab problem, he went out of his way to help me choose a tile that would work with my existing shower tile. Long story short within a week it was done and beautiful. Very tidy and considerate. Zephyr Tile does the job right! You get what you pay for. We've had the opportunity to work with Art at Zephyr Tile in two different homes and multiple projects. Our first experience with Art was in our previous home where he came out and helped us pull together a design for our master bathroom taking us from the 1970's to a spa like retreat. He and his crew were courteous, on time and completely cleaned up like they hadn't even been there! A few years later we decided to downsize and move back to another home in the area where we went into full construction mode. This was a much bigger project and we had a contractor managing it. We received a quote for the bathroom from our contractor resource and the quote felt high to us. Knowing Art's work and our previous experience we reached out to and had him come in and quote this job. Not only was he less expensive but more importantly we knew the quality of work he did.(he's now done work for said contractor) Art and team worked around the construction happening throughout the rest of the house and did an excellent job on this project. I didn't pick an easy tile and challenged him with the introduction to pencil bullnose, he took it in stride and the bathroom is beautiful! We had him back just last week to tile our fireplace hearth and our experience was more great work!
