Please be aware: I…read moretrusted this clinic with my dog's care, and that trust was broken in a very serious way. I brought my French Bulldog, Winston, in for a simple influenza vaccine -- a routine visit. Instead, he was given the Leptospirosis vaccine, which is clearly flagged in his medical record as something he should never receive due to a prior severe allergic reaction. This was not a small oversight or a misunderstanding -- it was a serious mistake that could have had devastating consequences. They administered the vaccine and only informed me afterward. I was completely shocked and heartbroken that such a critical detail in his medical history was ignored. The veterinarian's response was disappointing, repeatedly referring to this as "an accident." I live with anxiety and PTSD, and this entire situation was extremely triggering as I tried to stay calm and advocate for my dog in the middle of what felt like a preventable emergency. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Oregon Veterinary Medical Board because this kind of mistake should never happen. Our pets rely on us to keep them safe, and I trusted this team to do that. I'm sharing this to help other pet parents make informed decisions. If you do choose to visit this clinic, please double-check everything for your own peace of mind. The vet tech who administered the vaccine was Emily. Winston's allergy is noted on every single page of his record, so this level of oversight is extremely concerning. Please be cautious and advocate for your pets. Mistakes like this can be life-threatening.

This is such a special place- you can tell how much the staff and volunteers love CAT. When we…read morecame to CAT everyone was warm and welcoming. We got there about 20 mins before opening and were first in line. The one main suggestion I have is that there be a space/room where you can interact with the potential pet you want to adopt. It was hard trying to hold the kitten and not let her on the ground to play/interact with her. The staff were great with answering questions. Second suggestion would be to give out numbers when people walk in so there is some order. It was a little chaotic since we were there for a kitten and there were other potential cat owners that were being a little aggressive about trying to push past us when we were walking upstairs to see the kittens and trying to claim the kitten they wanted that they saw online. Luckily for us it wasn't the same kitten my daughter was there to meet. Once again this wasn't CAT's fault, but wish there was maybe a more structured way to avoid these types of interactions to happen. It was a little jarring to say the least. Pushing past 2 adults and 2 kids could have made any of us fall down the stairs. They weren't even second in line so that means they were pushing past several people to "be first". The staff does a great job walking you through the adoption process. We were given a complimentary first vet check-up waiver (which was honored by our vet). We were also given a bag of food to take home that our kitten was used to eating. We didn't have a carrier and we were able to purchase a carrier box for $8.00. Also they some times have more pets for potential adoption than what is showing online. If they come in later in the day or early morning these cats may not be on their website yet. Overall our experience was wonderful (minus the overly aggressive woman who was screaming and trying to race us upstairs). You can tell the staff love their jobs, made the adoption process easy and appreciated all the information they shared throughout the adoption process.

We literally walked in without an appointment as our Shiba had ingested some cherry laurel berries from a neighbor's tree. She was wobbly and threw up so we knew it was urgent. Dr Harley Johnson and her team were wonderful. She even took extra time to research and confirm we had the right plant and wanted to ensure we didn't take any unnecessary steps or incur any charges we didn't need. I would definitely come back here for any emergency or speciality care!

I found the entire staff very supportive and helpful. In both cases, there really wasn't anything to be done, both cats were elderly and sick, and I knew I was bringing them in for the last time. I really appreciated the staff and the vet's care, one cat had end stage renal disease, and the vet was very informative and caring about what his labs meant, etc. They have a very nice room set aside for those who are saying goodbye to their pets. I realize my experience doesn't have anything to do with acute problems in younger animals that may need surgery, etc., but I was impressed with the compassion and with the speed in which they took care of both of my cats when we were experiencing end of life choices.

I scheduled an appointment with TheVets.com at 7 AM for a same-day visit at 12:45 PM. After…read morebooking, I received a call to confirm my payment and my cat's pre-visit questionnaire. However, I was never advised to have sedation meds on hand--something that turned out to be essential for what I needed: a proper blood draw for my 15-year-old cat who has been losing weight. The vet arrived on time and was very friendly, which I appreciated. They performed a very basic exam and attempted a blood draw by wrapping my cat in a towel and offering her treats, without any sedation or local numbing. The vet seemed nervous and missed three attempts at drawing blood, then abruptly said they wouldn't try any other methods and that "this is all we can do." I asked if they could administer sedation and come back once it took effect. I was told Gabapentin could work, but that it had to be given the night before--which turned out to be false. A different vet later informed me it only needs 2-3 hours to take effect. I was especially frustrated because I'm leaving town May 20 to arrange my father's funeral, and this appointment was meant to ensure my cat was cared for while I'm gone. Instead, I was charged $250, given 10 Gabapentin pills, and told I'd need to reschedule and pay again--including another full exam fee--to repeat the entire visit. They were polite, but this experience left me incredibly disappointed, with zero resolution. Now I have to go to another vet, pay another exam fee, and get a blood panel done--putting me at an estimated $750-$1,000 just to get basic bloodwork for a senior cat. The lack of clear instructions, poor communication, and unwillingness to follow through on essential care was unacceptable. I cannot recommend this unacceptable service.

I love everything about this place. I was a little…read more-concerned- when the first meeting was a zoom, but it really gave me a chance to share my concerns with Dr. Mandi, discuss her treatment thoughts for my GSD, and plan for our first appointment. Because so many dogs coming here are post-surgery or otherwise having issues, they're super careful to avoid K9-contact and so our first appointment was very low stress. Dr. Mandi worked with my dog to make sure everything was set for our plan. Thereafter we did physical therapy, where Trixie did as much PT as I did learning, water treadmill (which I thought was going to be a disaster but went swimmingly well). You see different team members when you come in so you get a really good perspective on different approaches to the PT/training (Trixie trains easily, me less so). They also are collecting all of the A-Team local providers here, including accupuncture etc.. 5-stars, definitely recommend.
