The Flooring Company sent out a cleaning crew and painter to attempt to resolve some issue, which ultimately failed. There are numerous soft spots throughout the floors, confirmed by numerous contractors after installation. We aren't asking for perfection but a professional job after spending over $25,000 for flooring. Your business practices we have experienced has been deceptive and unprofessional. UPDATE: Owner sent me an email asking to remove my bad review or he will pursue legal action. Watch out! Deceitful! The photos reflect the condition of which The Flooring Company LLC left my property in after they completed the job. I had to complain and push to get a cleaning crew which was ineffective (I had to spend $400 to get a cleaning crew to come out after The Flooring Company LLC's cleaning crew "cleaned" the property). Additionally, The Flooring Company LLC hired a painter to patch the damage to my walls, which did a poor job. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional company. I'm looking forward to The Flooring Company LLC to post the final images and videos of their flooring at my property--which would be downright embarrassing for their company. When i inspected the work after they left for the day, I found 3 minor issues to be fixed. I took pictures of them and sent them to the saleslady, Malak. The workers came back the next day and repaired them to my satisfaction. I wanted to rearrange some of the furniture and the workers were happy to so. We had our basement and bathroom redone last year, and used Colautti for carpet and hard flooring…read morein the basement (we planned on using them for tile and granite in the bathroom, but after our experience with them in the basement, we changed our minds). The person we dealt with when choosing flooring was very nice and helpful. The carpet installation was fine. No problems there. They did a fine job. We had part of the basement, a half bathroom, and a vestibule done with luxury vinyl plank flooring. I will post photos, but in the entryway to our laundry room, they didn't extend the flooring into the doorway, so there is a gap where you can see the laundry room concrete floor. Then in the larger area, there were two problem areas. One spot where the flooring hadn't clicked together properly, and another where the edge of the plank was damaged. I told my contractor, and Colautti came back and fixed the spot that hadn't clicked together, but the damaged plank wasn't replaced. They just pounded down the edge so it wasn't sticking up, leaving us with a dent in our brand new, very expensive floor. They said they had to special order more flooring to extend the flooring into the laundry entryway. We waited and waited for them to come back, but they never did. We decided not to have them deal with the one damaged plank, thinking they would probably mess it up even more. We didn't have a great contractor, which didn't help. After this experience, we went with another place for our bathroom tile and granite. We thought since they had been in business forever, there would be no problems. We were wrong. He sent us an invoice very soon after he visited our home. His pricing was very reasonable and he was flexible with timing and payment. We made arrangements for his team to start on our floors the day we left for a weeklong family vacation, which was so convenient. We had been on the road for just a few hours when he texted me with some very troubling photos of what he found underneath the carpet. I was horrified and dreading the discussion of next steps, but Arianit clearly explained our options and the prices for each option. We ultimately chose to repair/replace the damaged wood and the added cost was very reasonable. Throughout the process, Arianit sent us photos of the progress his team was making and kept us updated as the timeline changed with the added repairs. I could tell even before we got home to see the floors in person that we had made the right choice. When we did get home, I was not disappointed at all. Our floors are beautiful and I can't stop looking at them, even five days later. If/when we need to do anything with the rest of the floors in our home, we will be reaching out to NT Hardwood Floors again.

My wife and I went into the store and enjoyed dealing with our sales person, he came to our home, we worked out the details and made the decision to go ahead. We were replacing the 10 year old (plus) carpet and having a laminate installed. The signs of trouble came when our 3-4 week timeline from purchase to install turned into 2 to 3 MONTHS. For personal reasons, it was important for us to either pay the installers to move the furniture as needed or hire extra help. We had an agreement that we would remove as much as possible and the major items (couch, loveseat, computer desk) would be left for them to move...which never happened. The day before the installation the flooring boards were delivered by a person who just should NOT be dealing with the public in any way, shape or form. He came by himself to unload the boxes through the front door and down 6 stairs and there must have been 50 or 60 boxes. He practically guilt-tripped me into helping, despite the fact I have a disability! The next day the installers came (one was on time, the other was late) and I again, tried to accommodate them as much as possible because it was such a hot day. I had filled a small fridge in the basement with bottles of water and invited them to help themselves. The job was finished while I was out of the house, so I never got to do any kind of final inspection or walk through. When I returned home...all I can say is I was in shock. My garage was absolutely COVERED in dust....every single item, my pool cover, my golf clubs, all of our bicycles and on and on. When I came into the basement I noticed immediately that they had removed a closet door (which led to the storage space under the stairs) and never reattached it. I knew I could do this myself, so I started to do so and realized it could not be done because of the way the trim was installed at the base of the door! And they just left it?!? A few seconds later when I tried to close the door leading to the laundry room it stuck half way, again it was being stopped by the trim where the new floor bordered the laundry room floor. We moved some things back to their places and naturally, we scratched the floor in one place but when I went looking for some extra boards to replace it, there were none to be had. I called Hi Neighbor the next morning and a day or two later a man came out and fixed the problems with the doors but when I asked him about the left-over boards he didn't have any nor any suggestions. He merely said "they usually leave them after the job." I called again and again...and again. Here we are 5 months later and STILL no spare boards and what's worse, the problems keep coming!!! A few weeks after the install we were traveling, so we retrieved some luggage from under the stairs only to find they were both covered and ruined by some wood glue or something. When I called to add that to our list the manager Terry told me that was "part of the process". We've lived here for 15 years and I'm certain we will have further renovation projects. We had our bathroom and basement redone last year. We went with Palazzi for tile, granite, and…read moremarble after a bad experience with another place when we had our basement flooring installed. Our contractor had his tile guy do the tile and marble installation. Nothing wrong with the tile delivery. We had so much trouble with the marble, though. First piece had deep gouges in it, so we had to wait for more to be delivered. Replacement marble broke during installation because it had been broken and repaired, so it was weak. Next batch of replacement marble cracked during installation due to same issue, but by this point we were several months into a six week reno and left it. Palazzi installed the granite counter and backsplash for the vanity. During installation, were were told the granite we chose is difficult to work with and he wouldn't have recommended it. Meanwhile, no one told us this when we chose it, and it isn't like we went with some weird colour combo or anything. I am sure we could have gone with something else had we known. He said he had to do the back backsplash section in two pieces, and seamed it badly behind faucet so there would be no way to hide with tissue box or whatever. Later, we noticed the back piece was cracked and repaired badly. I am guessing the backsplash broke during installation or on truck and was glued/epoxied here, but it wasn't noticeable until later when glue/epoxy cured and darkened. (see photos) Had them back and backsplash was replaced without having to seam this time, and guy acted like it was stupid to have seamed it in the first place, meanwhile it was the same guy. He didn't mention the broken and repaired piece when he came back. Neither did I since, again, we were several months into the reno, we were tired of fighting with people, and just wanted it over. So to recap, tile was fine, marble was a huge pain in the rear, and they tried to get away with installing broken and repaired granite. The marble and granite problems delayed our reno by many weeks. I don't recommend them at all.

Absolute Disaster!!!…read more I hired this person for hardwood floor grinding and refinishing. Pictures tell the story. If you are looking for someone to turn a simple job into an electrical adventure, leave a mess behind, and create new problems you didn't have before -- this may be the person for you. On top of the poor workmanship, he was extremely rude and disrespectful. He attempted to connect his machine directly to a live electrical line, which resulted in damage to the electrical panel and an expensive oven showing a "Bad Line" error. Apparently, quality control and safety procedures were optional. Blamed the panel. The job was left with trash scattered around, and somehow the priority became demanding payment before the work was completed. Asked for additional $150 to "dispose" of the trash that he left behind. To add to the experience, machines were left sitting on carpet, creating another potential mess. We ended up contacting the local police. A reminder for anyone considering hiring him: do not release payment until you have personally inspected every detail of the work. Before making the deal demand full clean-up and disposal of trash. Take before pictures. Check your appliances, check your electrical system, and check that your property is actually left in better condition than when he arrived. Unfortunately, the experience was not the kind anyone wants.
