We have been treated like family over the years - our children feel safe and known by their teachers and any questions or requests to the administration or teachers have been promptly and thoughtfully addressed. Our oldest child and middle school graduate, who now attends public high school, feels like she was well prepared academically and personally by teachers who challenged her to think critically and by expectations to be kind and respectful. There is obviously no perfect school and we are grateful to have found a school that aligns with our values!

They instill the importance of independence and accountability at an early age. I have three very different students attending RHCDS and each one is thriving in their own way - a true testament to the school. The teachers are approachable and accessible and operate with a purpose to inspire and push students while also maintaining a fun and warm atmosphere. My children feel respected, comfortable and confident in the classroom which is a culture that cultivates growth across all facets of the child's development.

Ashanti has been such a blessing in making each lesson so meaningful and very productive. At times when our instructor is unavailable, the company automatically informs me by email way in advance and finds someone to cover our schedule. However, on days when we can't make it to our recurring lessons due to unforeseen circumstances, the cancellation process and scheduling our make-up lessons with different instructors at their portal has been such a smooth process. Besides Ashanti, our main instructor, all the other lady instructors has been such a huge support in helping my child grow and making gradual progress in all of our scheduled swimming lessons. They all have been very mindful of my child's sensory issues from the get go, which I'm so grateful for, and my child always looks forward to go swimming with them. It has been such a joy to finally found a company who's a perfect fit for my child's swimming needs. I've searched for many years, but couldn't find one either because of the long waitlist or they're just not funded by the regional center (traditional funding). This year, I got into SDP, and everything has been falling into place for all of my child's needs.=) Thank you Waterworks!!!

Unfortunately, our experience has been very disappointing. We're only five weeks into the program, and on two of those five weeks our assigned instructor either didn't show up or arrived late, forcing us to be rescheduled with another instructor. The most frustrating experience happened during our most recent lesson. We arrived on time for our 10:00 a.m. appointment, got my son ready, and waited. By 10:07 a.m., there was still no instructor, so we called the office. That's when we were told that his lesson had been changed at 9:54 a.m.--just six minutes before his scheduled start time, after we had already arrived and were waiting for his lesson to begin. Thankfully, they were able to find another instructor for him at 10:40 a.m., but my son still had to wait an additional 40 minutes. To make matters worse, when our original instructor arrived for her 10:40 lesson with another family, she walked right past us without offering any apology or even acknowledging us or my son. This wasn't the first time either. On previous occasions when she was late or absent, she also never apologized or acknowledged the inconvenience. I understand that scheduling issues and emergencies happen. What I don't understand is the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic courtesy. Families invest their time, money, and trust in these lessons, especially when they're for children who rely on consistency and routine. A simple apology and better communication would have gone a long way. I hope management takes these concerns seriously so other families don't have the same experience we did. If other families are looking for lessons for their loved one, I would avoid this place.
