Then they started goofing off and took up the tarp that were protecting the floors and carpet. That's when they started tracking adhesive all over my flooring. I paid over $15000 for this shower install and am furious that they haven't repaired or replaced my bathroom floor. In addition to the destruction of my bathroom floors they destroyed my walk in closet. They pulled my washer and dryer out to unplug them. Why they did that Ill never know. It wasn't necessary. Anyhow they must've really leaned on my shelves as they were trying to get behind them to unplug them because they broke my shelf unit that sat right beside the dryer. This in turn knocked down the 2 clothing rods that were attached to the shelves. This company did not even try to fix the damage they did to the closet. Worst home improvement project ever!!!!!!!

I called for a bathroom remodel, immediately told "no we can't do anything but the shower" and that I could find another company to do the vanity top, then after all the measurements I get the privilege to sit through a binder of old invoices from other companies. "Look how much they charge, now look at this one" I'm sitting there like WTF just get to my task at hand. Then I'm handed the material used, a 1/4 thick piece of plastic but they call "acrylic" there is literally scratches all over the samples just from hands holding them. I'm thinking ok how much for this cheap 1/4 plastic, $29k for just the shower area and this doesn't include the glass door I'd have to hire a additional custom glass company, so let's rewind, they do nothing but wrap a shower in 1/4 plastic for $29,000. What upsets me the most is getting a quote like this is like looking me in the face and calling me stupid

After he…read moremeasured, worked with us on what we wanted and gave us the price, we knew right away we wanted them to do our remodel. He wasn't pushy at all and stayed professional. When the time came, Theo and Alec were the ones who did the remodel. They were professional and clean but best of all, they were determined to do it all in one day. I don't think I paid attention when Sebestyen might've mentioned that if they do the flooring, they will also put in new baseboards so that was a nice plus. We hired them to put in a new shower, flooring and toilet. When we saw the finished product, we were more than happy. They did an amazing job and right in time before family came to visit. Recently in January 2026, we noticed the caulk separating from the wall and the shower. We reached out to West Shore Homes and they honored the warranty and sent Austin to come and re-caulk. I am still amazed at how quick and experienced they all are. Austin was in and out within 20 minutes. He made sure we were happy with his work before leaving.

It was sticking out about 3 inches wide off the door jam. The manager Miguel came back, took the door out, replaced the door jam, and the door was sticking out 1 inch out the door jam still. There's no frame around the door. I had them come back again to put the frame on the door. Water was leaking out from the outside. I had to call again and have them come out again. They said there's no leak so I had to show them with the water hose. So he put tape on top of the door and it is still leaking. I called this company 6-7 times and they still couldn't fix it right. I just made a call and made a complaint today. If you are thinking about going with this company to fix your home. I highly recommend you don't.

Nice phone conversation…read more However, with the stressors we've had I didn't quite put it all together until tonight when finally looking at my receipt that I was correct when I was given a price and then it become much more expensive with so called taxes and fees as the excuse when I questioned them and that's what I'm told. $40 mirror plus $16 and change for backing plus $6 and change surcharge and tax isn't almost $90. Our glass was also packaged up so we couldn't see it upon arrival. I wanted to see it but was informed it's hard to mess up up a mirror during the somewhat awkward in person pick up where we wasn't acknowledged until we hesitantly rang the bell lightly after a long time standing waiting. When we took it out IN THE PARKING LOT it was very dirty with stuff we thankfully was able to see that it was moving off of the glass BUT never thought about looking at the backing. After we was home we removed it completely and with alot of scrubbing we got it somewhat clean. This should have been presented to us professionally and clean and we should have been shown the product before packaging it up . However, they was aware we wasn't planning on using a backing on our project as long as their work looked good we didn't expect anything less as they are a professional business. LOL but the contact paper was put on sloppily and now we have to use a backing. We are afraid if we try to fix their sloppy creases it may ruin the mirror finish so costing us even more from poor work. I tried my best to smooth it myself but the photos shows what I still have that is not as bad as it was but still sloppy. We were taken on around $20 in addition to sloppy unprofessional work. It's our fault we didn't press harder against their excuses on costs. We don't typically get ripped off by local businesses and I'm usually a lot more inquisitive and this is why. Can't trust no one. Hope you enjoyed screwing us. I don't mess with karma however you all do. Glad it's not my karma. Probably should watch our statement close and change our numbers. We needed this mirror to move forward with our project but it only put us further in the hole and more behind. We should have waited for our favorite glass company an hour away from us that we usually use and next time we will. Update: I just read through google reviews to find multiples who was quoted and overcharged. Wow just wow! I knew I wasn't wrong. Crooks!! I expect a 50% refund due to the poor product of what we should have been charged on top also the extra $20 fake fees charged. Around $55 refund expected back to my card. Update: was refunded more than I asked for after an email to the owner. No apologies but lady in office when I called told me it was the owner who I had to of worked with due to the day of the week he's the only one working there then but there was two guys so ‍) but who she believed I worked with on the order and she did verbally apologize for our experience and took care of me based upon the owners email. She was very nice and professional and sent me a copy of the refund receipt.

I had sent an online message through their website outlining what I was looking for. I had been through several visits from other companies. I had gotten a whole lot of gimmicks, smoke and mirror special offers, and high pressure 'sign today' sales. I was over it. I asked McCloud if they could give me an honest quote on just the four windows that needed replaced the most. Joe responded and asked a few questions. I sent him pictures and dimensions of what I needed. There were no issues providing a quote and committing to only four windows, when everyone else had 6-7 window minimum. In addition to the minimums, the prices were more with less windows at the other places (discounts for doing all 17). McCloud had the same price for me, no matter how many I ordered. There were also no confusing buy 2 get 2 hard to understand offers. Just upfront competitive pricing. Joe was fantastic on the phone and provided great information and was able to help answer questions based on his past experience. I agreed to have Joe come out and take a look at the windows. We talked through all our options, discussed various ways we could order/replace (Four windows, just the front windows, just the second floor, etc.). All my questions and scenarios were talked through, with zero pressure. He was there discussing and putting up with my questions so long his wife called to check on him! After talking with Joe, researching the company, and understanding the quality and price, we actually decided to move forward with replacing almost all of our windows. The only one we did not replace was a half round. I decided to pass on this one for now because Joe took the time to explain to me that because of its shape it is a bit more expensive. Based on the price, and other factors, I was able to put that one off and will have McCloud replace that in a few years. This was possible because they are willing to do just one window. No one else that I had in for an estimate would have done that. This week our windows were installed. We had the best installation crew in Brad and Brad. My wife said, of all of the contractors/workers that have been in our house, none have been as respectful and courteous as these two. They were professional from the beginning. They explained everything and took great pride in what they were doing. The install looks fantastic. The caulking is nearly immaculate. There was no mess to clean, the drywall needed to be trimmed and there is not a spec of dust to be found. The guys were super efficient and we could not have asked for a better experience. Today Joe came by and completed a final walkthrough to make sure everything went as expected. In addition to making sure we were satisfied, he walked through the lifetime warranty and all other post install details. We could not be more pleased with this process from start to finish! I would recommend McCloud to anyone looking for quality windows at a great price. We did have one issue, the bathroom window was supposed to be opaque, but showed up clear. Things happen. We discussed it with Joe on our walkthrough today and I am sure we will see the correct window soon.

We had 2 with seals broken that would show condensation between the panes, one that would not stay open, and many that were incredibly difficult to open. I called a random window company and let them know we did not want to buy new windows - just get ours fixed. That company did not offer that service but highly recommended Burgess. I wasn't aware that a window repair company existed and was glad to get the referral. I called Burgess and scheduled an appointment. They are great communicating and timely in their showing up and following up with an estimate. The person doing the estimate did a great job of educating me about what was needed and how the windows work. Without getting another quote, I hired Burgess to do the work. Again, the communication was timely and the repair person showed up on time. He did a great job of efficiently and effectively fixing our windows. He did most of the work outside and didn't leave any mess or trace he had been here after the work was done. He didn't take breaks even though I offered the use of our restrooms and also a drink (water, soda, etc.). He was quite and very quiet in his work. I often didn't know where he was or what he was working on as I was able to continue to work from home without disruption. If you're looking for repair I highly recommend Burgess. I know the price we paid to have functioning windows again was a fraction of what new windows would cost.

Then, considering the amount of time my wife spends in the kitchen, this window was a real sore spot for her. I contacted Burgess Window Repair. A gentleman (I think it was the owner) came out to give us an estimate for repair/replacment and he was very pleasant, polite and professional. He gave my wife an estimate for replacing the glass in the kitchen window and when she asked about some issues with the windows on the front of the house - he took the time to explain that we really didn't need any repairs but showed my wife how to deal with the condensatiion in the glass. The young man who came to replace the glass in the kitchen window was equally polite and professional and did a quick and efficent job of replacing the defective glass. The new window has given us a whole new view of the back year. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Burgess Window Repair.

We want the professional installation and finished product for which we contracted and paid. Two additional windows are under contract and a deposit was paid, but because we made a warranty claim, Home Genius is now seeking to not measure, order or install those two contracted windows. The original installation was performed by a two-person crew. One installer brought a newborn infant and was simultaneously caring for the baby while working, including feeding and changing the baby in our home and keeping the baby in a carriage near the work area and ladder. The workmanship was extremely poor. Windows were not properly centered, caulking was started and abruptly stopped, windows would not properly open or close, and a screen was damaged. The problems were significant enough that Home Genius sent an entirely different crew per our demand several days later - they initially intended to send the same two. The second crew spent approximately twice as long correcting the first crew's work as the original crew spent installing the windows. Although some problems were corrected, we discovered that visibly scratched and painted old vinyl frame material remains incorporated into the finished appearance of our new ProVia windows. HGE's own contract promises professional workmanship and makes HGE responsible for proper completion even when subcontractors are used. Two additional contracted windows have not been measured, ordered or installed, although our deposit was paid. We do not believe making a legitimate warranty claim concerning defective workmanship permits Home Genius to abandon or cancel its obligations for the remaining windows. We have only asked that Home Genius to honor it, properly address the defective workmanship, and complete the two remaining windows as agreed - but this is a company that does not care and retaliates.
