The two security guards Samy and Paul were switching places for their next shift so we got to meet both of them! :) When we got to the room we had an issue with the pull out bed, I went down to inform them (not complain!) that way we wouldn't be charged. Samy immediately would not take no for an answer and moved our rooms and helped us to the next with all of our stuff. We ended up at the tower because of a problem with a previous hotel, but this stay made up for everything so we were so grateful to finally feel truly accommodated. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed before the night ended, we didn't end up using many of the facilities except for the pool which was great, the road sounds are minimal so that was nice as well. We were supplied with everything we needed and more. Thank you!!!

Very cozy, beachy, clean, with all the necessities including a tv, fridge, stove, microwave, silverware, dishware, coffee maker, etc. Each room is comfy and decorated in beach decor. The owner, Karin, is such a wonderful pleasant person to speak with and tries to make your stay as easy as possible. The grounds has a pond with fish and turtles, laundry facility, grills, picnic tables and parking available so you don't have to do street parking. The rooms are SUPER clean as the maid, Mary Lou, makes certain on it and does a spectacular job in making sure you have everything you need and is such a sweetheart. This is also PET FRIENDLY! which believe me, is very hard to find especially on the beach! The rates are reasonable ... and you are sure to have an enjoyable time while here.

She goes out of her way to explain about the surrounding area, rooms and accommodations. Hotel consists of about 15 rooms, book early as it does get sold out fast. The beach is literally one building away. Safe neighborhood and always a lively boardwalk consisting of different cuisines and free concerts on the weekends. Rooms: clean rooms, pet friendly, kitchenette in all rooms with utensils and pans, towels are always changed and rooms are cleaned. An awesome cleaning lady, super friendly and gets the job done. By far, the best boutique hotel in Holywood beach!

We had an absolute blast at this resort! We traveled as a family of three - husband, wife and…read moredaughter (8) The resort is located right on the beach unlike others that are across the street or require walking. It's also situated right on the boardwalk so you can easily take a nice walk in the morning, grab a quick scoop of ice cream (like 10 spots to choose from), shop for souvenirs or shirts and grab a quick diner. This made our stay super convenient because everything we needed was there! Most of the restaurants on the boardwalk are more fast casual with lots of Italian options. This worked well for our family because 2/3 of us are vegetarian. We did find a really nice upscale restaurant called GG's waterfront and it was only a two block walk from our hotel so not Ubers were needed. This made our trip to be honest. We love high end restaurants with fresh/quality food and this check every box. It's also situated for the most incredible sunset. So make sure you go. As for food the rest of the trip - for breakfast we just grabbed a Sammy from the coffee shop inside the hotel and they had some good options. Breakfast Sammie's, burritos (pre made but they warm them), fruit bowls, yogurt bowls, you name it. Then for lunch we always ate at the pool an really looked forward to it. This friend shrimp was outta this world and it's served with honey mustard which was so yummy. Prolly some of the best fried shrimp I've ever eaten at a pool. The we always got the cedar salad which was refreshing and we all split it. The only thing I wish they had more of was a nice guac - I'm talking with nice additions and super fresh / tasty. Then for diner we ate at the resort two nights - once on the upper desk restaurant overlooking the love music so we could hear it but not be in the action. The weekend nights are a little rowdy for our daughter. We were able to watch some sports on the outdoor tvs, listen to live music, watch the FlowRider and eat. The food was not great to be honest but the ambiance was incredible. Then one night we ate at the steakhouse at the property. Service was weird just felt awkward lol. But the food was good. The deviled eggs were top notch and some of the deserts. For drinks we always grabbed a South Sode gin drink from the coffee shop. If you like gin then it's a must. And at the pool our daughter lived on strawberry daiquiris (virgin) and we drank 1 pina colada (so much sugar) a day and then switched to mojitos (less sugar). We loved all the pool servers but they could prolly double the service at the pool bc people were kind of always waiting. Cabanas - we got a cabanas two of the days and it was incredible. It includes credit towards food and if you get one with a working tv you can watch tv. The NCAA tournaments were on so we got the cabanas two of the days we wanted access to the to each the games. It was also nice to have space and shade to relax. Treat yourself once day and grab one. FlowRider - WTF this was so cool! We're new to this and it was so fun for older kids. Our daughter was (8) did it two days and loved it. The instructors are so kind and helpful to those trying to learn. One of the trainers is in the top ten of all FlowRiders in the US. I did see some adults doing it but with a bad back we didn't want to risk it. The rooms were nice and cozy. We had one king and then ordered a pull away for our daughter. We do wish that they had more rooms with additional beds for the kids. Even the suites didn't include more beds. We prefer two kings, or king and a pull out and last resort would be two queens. I think they could def make the rooms better suitable for families. Construction - this was the only frustrating part to the end of our vacation. The last two days ( during spring break ) they were door construction right by the main pool and it was so loud that one of the days we had to leave the pool. Just seems like a really weird time to do construction The other negative was the main pool didn't have entertainment any of the days we were there (Saturday (night) - Thursday). It would have been nice to have some trivia, live music, or something. Also, for anyone else wondering if Margaritaville is child friendly it certainly is. They have a dedicated pool for kids with a small water slide, waterfall and activities. However, our daughter didn't want to hang out in the "baby pool" so we stayed at the main pool which had older kids and some other smaller kids. I'd say a majority of the people at the main pool were older kids and adults. Overall we would certainly come back to this hotel as we really enjoyed our stay!

Unfortunately, what we experienced was one of the most frightening and unsafe hotel stays we have ever had. At no point during check-in were we warned about the major security concerns, teen takeover activity, or riots occurring in the area. However, it quickly became obvious that the situation was serious, as there were heavily armed police officers outside the hotel carrying rifles and drones actively monitoring the area. Despite this obvious police presence, the hotel continued operating as if nothing unusual was happening and failed to implement any additional safety precautions for guests. As the evening progressed, large groups of disorderly teenagers gathered outside and around the property. There was constant yelling, profanity, aggressive behavior, and complete chaos. Many guests, including my family, felt intimidated and unsafe. We repeatedly notified hotel staff about the escalating situation, but we were continually told that "security was looking into it," yet nothing was ever done. Around 8:30 PM, the Hollywood Police Department shut down nearby retail stores and ordered crowds to disperse or face arrest. Shortly afterward, over 100 individuals flooded toward the Margaritaville property, where the situation became even more dangerous. Groups gathered directly outside the hotel entrance yelling that they were not leaving unless they were arrested. Fights broke out, people were running everywhere, and guests were terrified. Despite the escalating violence and panic, hotel security failed to lock the doors, secure entrances, or restrict access to the property. In fact, the back gate remained open, allowing individuals involved in the unrest to enter the hotel lobby freely. Many carried backpacks, and given the circumstances, families like ours feared for our safety and did not know whether weapons were involved. We personally witnessed a young man being violently attacked by several others and repeatedly stomped and beaten. It was horrifying. Guests were crying, panicking, and leaving the hotel by Uber and taxi because police activity had blocked access to parked vehicles. The most disappointing part of this experience was the hotel management's response. I spoke directly with the front desk manager, Alex, who acted dismissive and unconcerned despite the obvious danger surrounding guests. He initially denied the extent of the police presence until we showed him photos and videos of armed officers and police drones outside the property. In my opinion, the hotel failed in its responsibility to provide a reasonably safe environment for guests during a clearly dangerous and escalating situation. There appeared to be little to no emergency response, crowd control, or guest protection measures taken until police intervention became unavoidable. We have stayed at other Margaritaville properties before and always had positive experiences, but after this incident, we will never return to this location. Several other guests expressed the same feelings during the ordeal. This experience was traumatic, unacceptable, and handled with extremely poor judgment by hotel management.
