My kids wished the pool was deeper. It was only 4ft the entire span. Kids thought the room was huge and loved the spaciousness and kitchen. Us parents loved the location, walking distance to board walk and beautiful beach. Staff was accommodating and kind. Parking can be challenging if you arrive late. Honestly for us we wish the bedding was a bit nicer. But for what this cost, it's makes sense. it's $2 to wash and $2 to dry. Machines need special coins bought at front desk. Wish I had my own detergent. They don't have any beach stuff to borrow we had to purchase at nearby Walmart. Overall a good stay. That's different than 'great' read more

I stayed at this hotel from July 2nd through July 6th, 2026. The concierge service is only available until 10:00 p.m., which may be inconvenient for guests who need assistance later in the evening. While the building has been remodeled, it still needs several upgrades. Parking is limited, so finding a space can be difficult. If you're considering booking a studio with a Murphy bed, I would not recommend it. The mattress was very uncomfortable and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The showers on the pool deck were not working properly during my stay. The hotel also does not offer any bar service or breakfast, which was disappointing. There was no information provided about how to access the beach area. To reach it, you have to walk through an unpleasant area, and the hotel does not provide complimentary beach chair service. Unfortunately, there was a significant amount of seaweed along the shoreline during my stay, making the beach much less enjoyable and discouraging us from going into the water. Overall, the location may be appealing, but the lack of amenities, limited services, and several maintenance issues made the experience less enjoyable than expected. read more

Hey this is my review for the Hollywood Towers Rrsort that is more like a 2000s hotel on the beach. Folks it's a little bit dated but I got to say it is in the middle of all the action right along the shores of the Atlantic ocean. If you're looking to enjoy the beach life this is the place for you within walking distance of several different types of Cuisine that specialize in that beach food that all the beach bums love. You can rent bikes, electric Cycles, Cycles carts, boogie boards and across the intercoastal way you can get boat trips jet skis and the whole nine but I got to tell you about the actual Resort / Hotel. They do have cable and they have access to apps and Netflix if you have your own accounts but the internet is not the same strength on every floor. There is a daily happy hour where you can get draft beer two for five and various cocktails for $7. The bad situation causes me to give this a three-star rating because it's a pull-down queen size bed is not comfortable at all. There is also a chair bed in the room for those that have very little ones. We have a resort fees that were about $140 but that's just a part of the game. They will reduce the people at the desk realized that we did not have a car but we still paid over $100. The hot water in the sinks took a long time to heat up but the kitchen did work fine for us but not so well for two others that we ran into. If you need to wash clothes you better bring at least $2 in change and be prepared to go down into the bottom of the resort and walk through the parking deck to find the laundromat , which is located right next to the timeshare presentation office .. odd. They give you new towels on Mondays and Thursdays if you're okay with that and the pools out back are wonderful as you look out into the beautiful aqua green Atlantic Ocean. The pool area closes at 10:00 p.m. which I do not understand because it's the only place where you can enjoy a cigar or other type of smoke in the entire facility. Outside of that you have to walk to the not so.well lit Hollywood Boardwalk and smoke in the dark but everything has been pretty quiet and it seems absolutely visitor friendly. Coming from the Miami Airport it took us about an hour to get up here on the Tri-Rail system and then there was a 15 minute Uber ride over to the Hollywood Towers location. I would rate it probably three star facility for most things work as they should but the rooms are kind of small so if you're good with that and getting out into the city then it will work well for you. The security guards here serve multiple functions on the day we arrive we tried to get a cart to take our luggage up but the security guard could not be bothered as you as he was sitting in front of a automatic gate parking garage. That was disappointing but then came Scott. Everyday we've been here we saw Scott helping people in his security uniform walking his beat, helping people with their photos, helping at least two people on my floor with their luggage and he happily answer any questions I had about the area. Scott even came over and asked us if the two little kids kicking their soccer ball around the pool area was a nuisance to us but we told him they were fine but I really appreciate the fact that he asked I will have to say that Scott is the 1st security personnel to have every shown this much gratitude towards in my entire life because he is "Johnny on the spot" and he did his job happily. I have to add the people working the pool area bar were awesome as well but I was disappointed to find out that you could not tip them without doing so in cash. I don't know what kind of common is and that's all about but I made sure to give them something after providing great service during happy hour. We arrived my self my wife and 6 year old daughter. At this establishment at 10pm at night we called at 7am to let them know we would be there for a late check in they said no problem. Upon arrival after we checked in they informed us that they did not have ROOM KEYS and they would have to let us in and out of our room. Then we get up to our room and try to settle In there is no tv remote to turn the tv on or operate the tv. Then we try to call down to the front desk and the room phone does not work. So I go down to the front desk and tell them that there is no remote and the phone don't work can they switch my room. They refuse to switch my room saying there are no other rooms available.then the girl at the front proceeds to check in another five people while she texts the mangers . Then she ask the security guard to go find a remote he tells her "there is only what's behind the counter." Then I ask about the room phone she says I don't need one. Meanwhile I have been down there waiting for 45 mins while she counties to help guest that have arrived after I did. Finally after requesting a comp for the night because they could not provide what I paid for they finally give me another room. When they could have easily done that in the first place. Then when we go to shower In the new room the shower does not drain while you shower it fills with water. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at the start of a vacation. The two security guards Samy and Paul were switching places for their next shift so we got to meet both of them! :) When we got to the room we had an issue with the pull out bed, I went down to inform them (not complain!) that way we wouldn't be charged. Samy immediately would not take no for an answer and moved our rooms and helped us to the next with all of our stuff. We ended up at the tower because of a problem with a previous hotel, but this stay made up for everything so we were so grateful to finally feel truly accommodated. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed before the night ended, we didn't end up using many of the facilities except for the pool which was great, the road sounds are minimal so that was nice as well. The hot water had an odor, like sewage. Towels are trash thin and rough like and old rag. There was rust in the cutlery. Comforter and blanket were so rough. Very low quality. The valet is great. I informed the front desk that someone had tried to get into our room and cracked the door sensor and when I asked for a follow up and it seemed as though they did not care. What if we were being watched. It was so uncomfortable and the lady who tries to get u into a presentation tries to be sneaky, gets you scheduled for a welcome meal and all of a sudden it's 90minutes. The building is very old and interior remodeled to resemble studio style room. It feels like a hotel, not a resort. Parking area is horrible: tight, small spaces and there is a daily parking fee. The security personnel was helpful in trying to help find parking spaces. First, there is only 2 elevators, and ONLY one is working. 2nd, we are three guests -when we went to the room, a loveseat sofa and a single sofa that becomes a bed are the only options we have. They said, they dont have availability at this time. We couldn't even figure out for the night how are we going to sleep comfortably tonight. 3rd- minutes after checking in, we went to the room (Finally!! After quite some wait on the elevator), a cleaning lady opened the door and thought we were checking out. she was nice and said sorry. And so I thought i forgot to lock the door. now here came the problem- it would'nt lock. i called the front desk and a guy from the maintenance came and couldn't figure out how that happened. It was fixed but takes effort to still lock it. 4th- the dishwasher is making a mess and i had to use the kitchen towels to stop the leak! 5th- I was taking a shower when the faucet came off! Hollywood beach Late check in, suppose to be at 3 pm, rooms are not ready until after 5pm,no toilet paper after first 2 rolls you have to buy your own, but not told until you request for additional, only 2 pillows per room, request for pillows and was told they did not have additional pillows, pool is dirty , never vacuum , 100 degrees , housekeeping is rude, won't give back same amount of towels that are turn in, no pool towel from front desk until after 9 am when housekeeping comes in. Ice maker in garage does not work , supposed to be fix 1/31/2024 or the ice maker in the room freezer does not work , black mold in pool , for 2 people 3 towels, 3 washcloths , 3 hand towels and towel exchange is only 2 x's per week read more

I checked in on Saturday evening March 23rd around 7pm. I was told there was a problem with the key card machine and someone would let me in my room. I was also told the problem would be fixed on Sunday as soon as a part was delivered. Okay. I go upstairs, drop my stuff and head back out to get some dinner. The good part - the hotel is 1/2 block from the beach and Broadwalk. Returning, I waited around 10 minutes for someone to let me in my room. On Sunday, I checked with the desk to find out whether the part had been delivered. No. It would arrive on Monday. So every time I (and everyone else who checked in on Saturday afternoon) had to wait for someone to gain access to my room. On Monday, I opened the door for the FedEx guy and was very happy ... until no package. By this time, guests started complaining to each other, the front desk was not forthcoming, and I was getting a little pssstt. This situation was complete nonsense and would never happen at a Marriott, Wyndham, etc. One guy was actually told to leave his daughter in the room with it unlocked. What!! I happened across the manager's office, knocked and was invited in. The manager was nice enough and apologized saying the part had been shipped that morning and would be delivered on Tuesday. Honestly, I didn't believe her. We all had been lied to since Saturday. A maintenance man came up to fix something, and I asked him about the key card situation. FINALLY, the truth!! During an afternoon storm on Saturday, there was a power surge which blew out the key card machine. The part had to be overnighted, and the place was closed on the weekend so it was shipped on Monday. So why didn't everyone just say that???? Why lie? And lie again on Sunday. And again on Monday. Also - another lie (by omission) - I asked whether the pool was heated. Yes. They neglected to mention that it had been broken for a week and no repair date was in sight. The best thing about the hotel is its location. Right when I was thinking about how clean everything was, I went to make a coffee. The carafe was clean; however, the coffee basket had MOLD growing!! GROSS!!! I took the entire pot and left it at the front desk. A clean one wrapped in plastic was delivered to my room about 30 minutes later. Things to know - there are no balconies to any of the rooms. You cannot open any windows and are hermetically sealed in with ZERO fresh air! Bring your own soap as the bars they provide are so small, they disintegrate within the first use. The people are very nice, but I cannot stand a liar. read more

Never again. Was suckered into staying here for a timeshare presentation. Arrived on Saturday evening and Nardia checked me in. Her attitude was very stale and not welcoming at all. I went up to my room, which was underwhelming to say the least. I was shocked to not see a bed in the room. Never in my life have I went to a hotel to find a Murphy bed. I inspected the room to make sure I didn't see anything suspicious. I thought everything was fine until I went to the bathroom. I saw not one, not two, but three baby roaches. In my eyes, where there are babies, there are adults. I called to the front desk to me moved to another room due to the issue. Nardia answered and in response said "This is Florida," as if it should be expected. Contrary to her belief, I've stayed in Florida hotels on countless occasions and have never seen a roach. I could not believe the lack of professionalism and empathy. She said maintenance was gone for the day but she would send security. Security (a young, black woman) came and was much more empathetic and courteous. She took me down to the front desk where I again asked me to moved to another room. Nardia said that nothing was available. Security suggested that Nardia give me an emergency room. Nardia obliged. It seemed odd that security was quicker to come up with the solution than the person that works at the front desk. This seemed to me that Nardia did not want to help me at all. Security came up with me to make sure that the second room was ok. It was fine. Overall, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy between the lack of cleanliness and the lack of customer service from Nadia. I call false advertisement on Hollywood Beach Tower, what it's sold as Queen Bedroom is only a "MURPHYBED" when complained I was told that's what they considered a Queen bed, please don't insult your customer's intelligence, we all know a full size foldout bed when we see one, thanks to concierge Chris we got a decent bed. Also, very disappointed and disgusted to learn the pool towels are not change AT ALL, so take care of your towels becase you won't get fresh ones. Loud music and obnoxious people by the pool. All Security employees who worked in the pool area were not allowed to listen to music or eat around the pool. I can even understand the rules but they were very rude and threatened to call the police and even get kicked out of the pool and hotel. Great location to the boardwalk and easy beach access. Staff was rude and the lady selling the vacation club was super friendly until you told her you weren't interested in the sales pitch. Rooms had Murphy beds and were super uncomfortable! The trash shoot was always stopped up and you could smell the stinch in the hallways and in your room. Bring your own beach/pool towels because they were never available when you wanted them. The hallways, pool area, and garage were pretty clean....but laundry room and hotel room wasn't! They want you to pay for extra towels and anything else they think you don't need. Front desk is very rude, we got stuck in a bad storm .5 mile from the resort and we're soaking wet when we made it back and were told we shouldn't be in the lobby wet and they didn't want to give us a towel to dry off with. Not to mention they all sat there looking on as we failed to get the access card to open the door for 5 minutes because everything was wet. AC also hasn't worked in the room and when notified they said they'd look at it. Didn't offer to change rooms or anything. And nobody once came to check it out. It's been 79° in the room since we got here. Not a single exhaust fan in either of the bathrooms. We have stayed at multiple places around here and therare much nicer places to stay for the same price if not cheaper. Avoid this place if you expect a comfortable and inviting place to spend your time away. The only delight to this stay was the older gentleman Sammy working the parking he was amazing. They charge a $50 to $75 dollar fee if you want the room clean on a day that's not on their schedule. The fridge was smelly. The room had a Murphy bed with a thin mattress, felt like you were laying on springs. Human hair on the living room table, room full of dust, sit on the 1970 looking clothes sofa and dust particles fill the air. Patch work not completed on the bathroom walls and they had the nerve to charge a $25 resort fee a day. Arrived in the evening, greeted by security he was helpful on where we could park a vehicle the was to high for the 6'8" garage. Check in lady was pleasant and explained all amenities. Location was easy to find. Property was very clean. Didn't see any small kids so if your trying to escape that then this resort will suit you. They have activities and BBQ around the pool. Pool wasn't crowded. Hot tub was comfortable. Boardwalk is amazing for food, drinks and interesting people watching. The room was fantastic. Nice kitchen! Publix Grocery about 1 mile away. Murphy bed in lock off unit was very comfortable. TV's had many premium channels. We will return here for sure!! read more

The hotel has potential, but it needs new management and maybe some staff that cares about cleanliness and hospitality. The studio room we stayed in was equipped with nice amenities such as a fridge, coffee maker, oven and toaster. The room is just dirty, the pillows are disguising and need to be replaced. I'm sleeping with a towel over them. I sprayed everything with hand sanitizer. One elevator is working during our stay. They leave an itemized list for kitchen dishes, cookware and utensils that they supply in each room. They request guests confirm they are still in the room at check-in and state you'll need charged. We call down to notify of multiple missing items but the front desk staff stated they don't track the items and to ignore the laminated request. If the room wasn't non-refundable I would have left. I would expect these issues from a motel that costs $75 a night but not a hotel that cost $165 a night. Good location to a crowded and dirty beach. I just wasn't impressed and will NEVER return. Update: We had someone knocking at our door at 9:45PM. After several knocks they unlocked our door! We yelled and they shut the door real quick and left. We called the front desk and supposedly it was a pillow delivery to the wrong room. I just don't understand why a staff member would unlock an occupied guest room at 9:45 at night. read more

I have to admit I was reluctant to stay at HBT, judging from the low Yelp rating, but my fears were put to rest as soon as we were checked into our room. The facility was impeccably clean, from the guest rooms, to the pool area, and even the garage! Because rooms are intended for two guests, we had adjoining rooms to accommodate our party of three. One room was a standard king room, the other was an efficiency type room with a full kitchen and a Murphy bed, instead of a standard bed. The Murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable! The kitchen was fully equipped, so we were able to prepare our own meals if we chose to. We ordered groceries from the neighborhood Publix Grocery Store and they were delivered directly to our room. This was great since we didn't rent a car! Everything you need is within walking distance and there are countless great dining options along the boardwalk. I personally recommend Grumpy Gary's and Mamacita's. The only thing I would improve upon would be to offer self-serve coffee in the lobby. There is a coffee dispensing-type machine at the front desk, which is horrible, and the concession stand at the pool, which has weird hours. We did have a coffee maker in our room, but if you're an early riser, you don't want to wake your sleeping room-mates with the smell of coffee All in all, this was a wonderful place to stay, and I highly recommend it. I've stayed here before, and actually feel like the rooms have been improved. Other than the pool, there are no out of room amenities. No bar or restaurant and the lobby is tiny. No breakfast or happy hour. Having said that, for the $, it is far better than the old mom and pop motels and the ancient large hotels on the broadwalk. Great location and short walk to all day and night activities. I arrived at 10am and to my shock, they gave me a room. It was very clean and the bed was super comfy. Good size kitchen table with chairs and an easy chair for lounging. Very spacious. I do wish every floor had an ice machine. The pool was nice and they kept it clean. It's definitely an older building, but you can tell they painted the halls, put down new carpet and upgraded the room furniture and decor. They get an A for effort. There have not been any updates since the place was built, no daily room service, they run out of beach towels by 11:00 AM everyday, parking is atrocious, by the time trash day came around the trash chute was full with people just leaving trash bags in the hallway, the lack of staff meant no one bothered to pick it up. On a working trip the other night i booked a room for my two colleges last min (11.30pm) through hoteltonight.com (who are awesome). During the booking there was an error and my name ended up being on the resivation not my colleges who was trying to check in. Normally a error that can be fixed by a simple phone call. Not this time!!! The lady on the front desk refused to add his name to the resivation. We called hoteltonights awesome customers service who inturn called the hotel to change the resivation. The front desk lady STILL refused to add the name to the resivation and demanded an email be sent. So hoteltonight.com sent an email and a delivered confirmation was received whilst i was all on the phone. (The hotel tonight lady also commented on the front desks ladys bad attitude) It's now 2am. My colleges only wanted a room to sleep in for a few hours as they had worked an 18 hour day and had another 18hr day the next day. Another hour passes and i receive another phone call from my colleague who has still not managed to get into the room. So i call the hotel back to find out what the problem was now and a male security gaurd answers and he was much more helpful, at which point i started to complain about the front desk lady. WHO GRABS THE PHONE FROM HIM, STARTS TO ARGUEE WITH ME AND HUNG UP. I have worked in customer service for a number of years and stay in hotels all the time. NEVER have i experienced such rude/dissmisive/difficult person. And to add insult to injury when my two male coworkers git to there room (4am) they where given a single bed to share. Then the next day they got called at 11am and where forced to leave the room. Long and short of it. The worst hotel and customer service experience of my life. Make sure you have 45 mins and don't mind waiting on the stairs leading into the building where the lobby is only 10X10 with one incompetent person working the counter. Coming down with your friend that isn't your significant other? Unless you're cool with sleeping together, the entire place only has QUEEN size beds. Only 1 per room... They don't tell you this till after you check in and sign and swipe your card. Also doesn't mention that on any of the booking websites. This is important information, no? Checking out? Hotel staff is absolute shit. We book through our company and we travel 3 weeks out of the month 8 months out of the year and I have never experienced such shit treatment as I did here. I try to stay away from harsh language in my reviews yet with this business I simply cannot hold back. The staff had a shit fit because our boss booked the room and wouldn't allow us to check in until it was solved despite my employer calling with the card and confirmation number demanding that we get our room. We waited for 3 hours before we were finally allowed to check in. Only to find that despite the shit service and not letting us get our room we don't even get a beach view or what we want, double beds. Be right back as I sleep in a one bed room with my other male coworker. What the fuck kind of business is this, we aren't their typical clients clearly. They're probably used to people on vacations giving zero fucks about anything and just wanting to get wasted. Not my agenda here. Next time I'll stick to what we are used to, proper high end hotels that actually treat you the way you deserve to be treated. Fuck this hotel. read more

Just finished a stay at this hotel. Have stayed there a couple of times in the past. This time we noticed more noise than usual. The property smelled of weed. You could hear the noise of other guests thru the walls. We will probably look for another place in the future. staff is nice but when I asked for sheets to be changed I was told NO, we were there Saturday-Saturday, it is not like your typical big name hotels, you take your trash down every day, the coffee machine in the lobby does not take dollars so you need to have quarters/dimes/nickels, it also does not take credit/debit cards, parking is tight, the lower level is better than the upper level in our opinion but when you come out the door on the lower level, there is an odd smell.
