Tub not draining when using shower.
    Matt B.

We arrived my self my wife and 6 year old daughter. At this establishment at 10pm at night we called at 7am to let them know we would be there for a late check in they said no problem. Upon arrival after we checked in they informed us that they did not have ROOM KEYS and they would have to let us in and out of our room. Then we get up to our room and try to settle In there is no tv remote to turn the tv on or operate the tv. Then we try to call down to the front desk and the room phone does not work. So I go down to the front desk and tell them that there is no remote and the phone don't work can they switch my room. They refuse to switch my room saying there are no other rooms available.then the girl at the front proceeds to check in another five people while she texts the mangers . Then she ask the security guard to go find a remote he tells her "there is only what's behind the counter." Then I ask about the room phone she says I don't need one. Meanwhile I have been down there waiting for 45 mins while she counties to help guest that have arrived after I did. Finally after requesting a comp for the night because they could not provide what I paid for they finally give me another room. When they could have easily done that in the first place. Then when we go to shower In the new room the shower does not drain while you shower it fills with water. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at the start of a vacation. I would avoid this place if possible. We still don't have a room key . Never in my 45 years of life have I heard of a hotel without room keys.

First, there is only 2 elevators, and ONLY one is working. 2nd, we are three guests -when we went to the room, a loveseat sofa and a single sofa that becomes a bed are the only options we have. They said, they dont have availability at this time. We couldn't even figure out for the night how are we going to sleep comfortably tonight. 3rd- minutes after checking in, we went to the room (Finally!! After quite some wait on the elevator), a cleaning lady opened the door and thought we were checking out. she was nice and said sorry. And so I thought i forgot to lock the door. now here came the problem- it would'nt lock. i called the front desk and a guy from the maintenance came and couldn't figure out how that happened. It was fixed but takes effort to still lock it. 4th- the dishwasher is making a mess and i had to use the kitchen towels to stop the leak! 5th- I was taking a shower when the faucet came off! WTH! good thing, I just started! These are only less than 8 hours since we checked in! Is this the hotel you would want to stay in?

Never again. Was suckered into staying here for a timeshare presentation. Arrived on Saturday evening and Nardia checked me in. Her attitude was very stale and not welcoming at all. I went up to my room, which was underwhelming to say the least. I was shocked to not see a bed in the room. Never in my life have I went to a hotel to find a Murphy bed. I inspected the room to make sure I didn't see anything suspicious. I thought everything was fine until I went to the bathroom. I saw not one, not two, but three baby roaches. In my eyes, where there are babies, there are adults. I called to the front desk to me moved to another room due to the issue. Nardia answered and in response said "This is Florida," as if it should be expected. Contrary to her belief, I've stayed in Florida hotels on countless occasions and have never seen a roach. I could not believe the lack of professionalism and empathy. She said maintenance was gone for the day but she would send security. Security (a young, black woman) came and was much more empathetic and courteous. She took me down to the front desk where I again asked me to moved to another room. Nardia said that nothing was available. Security suggested that Nardia give me an emergency room. Nardia obliged. It seemed odd that security was quicker to come up with the solution than the person that works at the front desk. This seemed to me that Nardia did not want to help me at all. Security came up with me to make sure that the second room was ok. It was fine. Overall, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy between the lack of cleanliness and the lack of customer service from Nadia. The security guard and the activity concierge were extremely helpful though.

I really like this hotel but on my first day the pillows had stains luckily the security and the front desk understood and they gave us a new one the manager was very friendly. What I didn't like was that everything was far from the hotel despite that very willing to come back.

Very cozy, beachy, clean, with all the necessities including a tv, fridge, stove, microwave, silverware, dishware, coffee maker, etc. Each room is comfy and decorated in beach decor. The owner, Karin, is such a wonderful pleasant person to speak with and tries to make your stay as easy as possible. The grounds has a pond with fish and turtles, laundry facility, grills, picnic tables and parking available so you don't have to do street parking. The rooms are SUPER clean as the maid, Mary Lou, makes certain on it and does a spectacular job in making sure you have everything you need and is such a sweetheart. This is also PET FRIENDLY! which believe me, is very hard to find especially on the beach! The rates are reasonable ... and you are sure to have an enjoyable time while here.

It's also situated right on the boardwalk so you can easily take a nice walk in the morning, grab a quick scoop of ice cream (like 10 spots to choose from), shop for souvenirs or shirts and grab a quick diner. This made our stay super convenient because everything we needed was there! Most of the restaurants on the boardwalk are more fast casual with lots of Italian options. This worked well for our family because 2/3 of us are vegetarian. We did find a really nice upscale restaurant called GG's waterfront and it was only a two block walk from our hotel so not Ubers were needed. This made our trip to be honest. We love high end restaurants with fresh/quality food and this check every box. It's also situated for the most incredible sunset. So make sure you go. As for food the rest of the trip - for breakfast we just grabbed a Sammy from the coffee shop inside the hotel and they had some good options. Breakfast Sammie's, burritos (pre made but they warm them), fruit bowls, yogurt bowls, you name it. Then for lunch we always ate at the pool an really looked forward to it. This friend shrimp was outta this world and it's served with honey mustard which was so yummy. Prolly some of the best fried shrimp I've ever eaten at a pool. The we always got the cedar salad which was refreshing and we all split it. The only thing I wish they had more of was a nice guac - I'm talking with nice additions and super fresh / tasty. Then for diner we ate at the resort two nights - once on the upper desk restaurant overlooking the love music so we could hear it but not be in the action. The weekend nights are a little rowdy for our daughter. We were able to watch some sports on the outdoor tvs, listen to live music, watch the FlowRider and eat. The food was not great to be honest but the ambiance was incredible. Then one night we ate at the steakhouse at the property. Service was weird just felt awkward lol. But the food was good. The deviled eggs were top notch and some of the deserts. For drinks we always grabbed a South Sode gin drink from the coffee shop. If you like gin then it's a must. And at the pool our daughter lived on strawberry daiquiris (virgin) and we drank 1 pina colada (so much sugar) a day and then switched to mojitos (less sugar). We loved all the pool servers but they could prolly double the service at the pool bc people were kind of always waiting. Cabanas - we got a cabanas two of the days and it was incredible. It includes credit towards food and if you get one with a working tv you can watch tv. The NCAA tournaments were on so we got the cabanas two of the days we wanted access to the to each the games. It was also nice to have space and shade to relax. Treat yourself once day and grab one. FlowRider - WTF this was so cool! We're new to this and it was so fun for older kids. Our daughter was (8) did it two days and loved it. The instructors are so kind and helpful to those trying to learn. One of the trainers is in the top ten of all FlowRiders in the US. I did see some adults doing it but with a bad back we didn't want to risk it. The rooms were nice and cozy. We had one king and then ordered a pull away for our daughter. We do wish that they had more rooms with additional beds for the kids. Even the suites didn't include more beds. We prefer two kings, or king and a pull out and last resort would be two queens. I think they could def make the rooms better suitable for families. Construction - this was the only frustrating part to the end of our vacation. The last two days ( during spring break ) they were door construction right by the main pool and it was so loud that one of the days we had to leave the pool. Just seems like a really weird time to do construction The other negative was the main pool didn't have entertainment any of the days we were there (Saturday (night) - Thursday). It would have been nice to have some trivia, live music, or something. Also, for anyone else wondering if Margaritaville is child friendly it certainly is. They have a dedicated pool for kids with a small water slide, waterfall and activities. However, our daughter didn't want to hang out in the "baby pool" so we stayed at the main pool which had older kids and some other smaller kids. I'd say a majority of the people at the main pool were older kids and adults. Overall we would certainly come back to this hotel as we really enjoyed our stay!

Room wasn't up to cleanliness standards. Broken ironing board. Carpet had MULTIPLE stains. The building has too much wasted space. The lobby is grand and enormous for NO reason. The "spa" is nothing to see. Literally. A small room with a shampoo bowl and manicure table. The complimentary laundry room looked like it got robbed. Visibly broken washers. Dirty ice machine. Couldn't get into the gym. Daily resort fee, even if you don't use their "amenities." Oh, don't sit on the lobby furniture. It's as filthy as the carpet in the room I stayed in.
