I am a CNA caregiver and have a lot of stress and pain many times due to my type of work. Massage is therapeutic for my aches and pains AND my peace of mind. Sam is my favorite because he gives deep tissue massage with acupressure in my hands and arms. I usually go for the ninety minute massage (I make sure to have the time) ! Some weeks I go twice a week (when I've over worked my muscles) but I definitely go weekly! You will not be disappointed! Always a family friendly place to be ! The ONLY complaint I have is the loud (rude) customers who talk loudly and /or stay on their phones while others are receiving massages . I leave my phone in the car or put it on airplane mode. I think all customers should consider this for the optimum experience of the clients.

Unfortunately, I paid in advance with my cash app card and suggested that I will pay tip in cash. They are dressed in street clothes and at one point she hovered her hips above my head while massaging my back, NASTY! I have had massages numerous times in my life (80 plus times, including Thai massages) generally for hygiene purposes they would not have on jeans or street clothes doing this technique. I was so frustrated, therefore, I never relaxed during my session. There were no other customers in the salon, so it was no need for all this foolishness and chaos. At the end, I tipped 20% in cash and left. I went home and didn't go anywhere else until the next morning for a lunch date. I went to go to pay my lunch bill and noticed that seven of my credit/debit cards were missing including the card I used at Mae Mae's Massage. At that point, I realized that my purse was in the room with me the day before during all the traffic in and out a Mae Mae's. Less than 24 hrs I returned to ask if I left my card there. The first response from the staff, I was told "you didn't use a card, you used cash". They started lying and acting nervous and stated they wanted no trouble..... Hmmm. I never accused them of anything, the staff was nervous and started acting crazy. In my mind & spirit they were acting GUILTY! When I returned, my 20 yr old daughter was with me and had no clue what all transpired the day before. We left and my daughter immediately said "Mom, yeah those ladies are hiding something and are very unprofessional". I have no proof, however, I am not slow or naive. All cards were immediately reported stolen. I take full responsibility of allowing myself to be in this unprofessional, sketchy, ran down, trifling and nasty environment. When I was 19, I started doing yoga in my bedroom off of YouTube and as you can imagine, these two worlds are intertwined. The wellness community has been talking about the health benefits of sauna and cold plunge for a long time and recently I finally "took the plunge" (I had to, sorry.) Sauna House was my first experience with a sauna/cold plunge, and I am here to tell you it is truly life changing. As a physician, at times life and work can feel overwhelming; the hours and the stress can be hard on the body. Sauna House has been a sanctuary for me where I can slow down and remember to take care of my body, so that I can continue to take good care of other people's bodies. I can't fully speak to each of the precise mechanisms and pathways through which these treatments work, but I believe it involves improvement in vascular tone with the alternating vasodilation/constriction, reduction in inflammatory cytokines, largely through the effects of cold shock proteins, and there is some domino effect, which leads to a large increase of dopamine in the brain which probably accounts for the rejuvenating "high" one experiences after the cycle. It's good for muscle recovery, inflammatory pain, and mental health. Needless to say, it is a complex but scientifically based stress reduction medium. I absolutely love how SH has built an infrastructure for this type of treatment, from their dry changing rooms, private showers, to lockers. They really thought about the flow of this space (Greenville) and it is so intuitive and welcoming. They have also made it accessible for many people, with 2 hour drop ins to their public saunas and plunges under $50, cheaper than a manicure at many places. The effects it has on your body must be experienced firsthand, I can't describe it any further and I've run on too much in this review already. PS - When plunging, go all in! It makes it easier. Oh!
