Mr. Herring testified in court that I molested my daughters, and used this to completely seal the…read morecase. When I attempted to unseal the case so I could publish it, which I am in the process of doing, he fought against this, wanting to keep his sworn testimony from public perusal. When I filed to seek criminal discovery with the District Attorney of Ventura to find out who supposedly molested my daughters, he fought against it stating it would re-traumatize my daughters. When I tried to have my daughters see a therapist he also fought against this, forcing me to get a court order for them to see a therapist, after he claimed they had been molested. He pursued a psychological evaluation against me that determined I was unfit to be a physician, as I was an anesthesiologist in Ventura, California at the time. Rather than submitting this evaluation to the California Medical Licensing Board to protect the California public where I practiced at the time, he was fine with the evaluation remaining sealed. Yet, he knew that I did pediatric anesthesia and cared for the most vulnerable child population there probably is, anesthetized children, even though he claimed under sworn testimony I sexually abused children. Contrary to his claims, I went on to do a psychiatry residency at Dartmouth, an Ivy League institution, specializing in treating "adult survivors of sexual child abuse." When I applied for a Maine Medical License after Dartmouth, I informed him that because he defined me under sworn testimony in court to be an unfit physician, he could contact the Maine Medical Licensing Board to submit his concerns. Because outside of custody/divorce court, slander and libel becomes an issue, he was predictably silent. According to the "Burkle vs Burkle Case," by completely sealing the case, Mr. Herring not only violated my Constitutional rights, but also the Constitutional rights of the press and the public! Is this really Mr. Herring's "definition" of "goodwill?" This is all documented in Case Number: D294142 of the Superior Court of Ventura, California.

How unfortunate for me I did listen to Penner's counsel and I signed a stipulation which became an…read morecourt order. I learned it is illegal to negotiate a stipulation without the client taking part. After Penner I was unrepresented a few months before I had a new attorney. Penner's stipulation moved non trust assets into the trust which gave a bias trustee power over them. Because both parties and judge signed the stipulation it became set in stone - could not be modified. The one year statute of limitations on malpractice protects bad attorneys. A WARNING to others DO NOT SIGN anything your attorney asks you to sign - especially if they press you, scare you or hurry you. You have a lot of time to have one or two attorneys read it - there is no rush. So the lesson is to hire a second attorney to watch the first attorney to make sure they don't sabotage your case.

I came to Daniella halfway through my divorce, overwhelmed and outmatched. I was facing…read moreexperienced, aggressive opposing counsel, and I had been navigating the process largely on my own. By the time I found her, I was drowning in requests, pressure tactics, and paperwork designed to exhaust me into a bad settlement. Finding representation hadn't been easy -- three attorneys never called back or went silent after initial contact. When I finally walked into Daniella's office, something shifted. Her space is warm, beautiful, and distinctly her own -- and that first impression turned out to be a perfect reflection of how she practices. In our consultation, she was disarmingly honest. She knew opposing counsel well, had gone up against that firm many times, and gave me a clear-eyed picture of both what she could do and what the risks of trial actually look like. She told me plainly that courtrooms are unpredictable and expensive -- emotionally and financially -- and that the goal was a strong negotiated outcome. Her strategy was smart and psychologically astute. She advised me on approach, on tone, on what to prioritize for long-term stability. She is meticulous -- she caught multiple errors from the other side and kept pushing until they were corrected. Her fees were roughly half of what opposing counsel charged, and she was transparent and fair about costs throughout. Daniella guided me through one of the most difficult seasons of my life, and I felt like I was in good hands throughout. I ended up with an agreement I was truly happy with. I'm so grateful I found an attorney this competent, caring, and trustworthy.
