Wandering along the dirty, cigarette-butte filled streets of Praha, I was at my wits end and…read morebordering on nicotine poisoning... I looked up, almost to cross the street and to change my direction, and the name of this cafe beckoned me. I read this book in high school, so I knew it was going to be a place of excellence.
The food is top-tier, bread with crunchy crust, pastrami that isn't sour (though it could use more herb crust), Japanese pickles that are crunchy (they're still a bit briny), and a nice mild mustard (though there was way too much on the sandwich).
They have oatmilk and soy milk for those who love alternative milks. The espresso isn't too sour, but it was a bit bitter. The place is 95% clean (crumbs on the floor, booths, and seats) but the 3h I sat here, all 3 staff members were cleaning; so that's nice.
Lastly, the staff were neither impatient with me (coming over to ask me 3 times if I needed something but I shoo'd them away each time) nor did they rush me out the door.
If you want a nice and quiet place where you can breathe, think, reflect, and not be bothered, come here! You won't be disappointed.
