She used the perfect amount of pressure-- enough to loosen me up but not too much so that it wouldnt be too painful. She communicated well with me to make sure I was comfortable. The owner Anna is always so kind and amazing as well. She always takes such good care of me for my facials and makes sure to get everything my face needs. I had such a great experience at Zellify! From the moment I arrived, Anna (the owner) was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She made sure I felt comfortable right away and was very accommodating, which set the tone for the whole visit. My massage therapist really listened to what I wanted. I love a very firm, deep massage, and they absolutely delivered. They also incorporated stretching techniques throughout the session that I wasn't expecting but ended up loving. It felt like the perfect combination of deep tissue work and assisted stretching. By the time I left, I honestly felt like complete jello in the best way possible....totally relaxed and loose. This was the only massage I've ever had that exacerbated the tension in my body and left me in physical pain for more than a day. Masseuse held on to a bar near the ceiling to walk on top of my back. Even if this were a medically sound technique, my skin is sensitive to bacteria, so there's no way I would have agreed to feet on my body. I left with greasy-feeling hair because way too much oil was used. I'm not sure why oil was used on my scalp at all. The door was kept with a crack open while I was on the table, so not sufficient privacy. I had no idea that a license is not required to give massages in California until this experience. The person who took my payment was also weird about the tip. I will research credentials before getting a massage anywhere. This experience was so bad that it will be a while until I am willing to try someone new. read more

Booked a 90min deep tissue massage with Anna who came highly recommended. I did start with Anna and she was amazing, 5-stars. BUT I only got her for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, they swapped me out for Tina who did not apply any pressure and did not seem to have the same experience as Anna. Upon check-out I asked Anna (who seems to be the owner) why they swapped out the masseuse, and she said it was because "you paying by gift card and I only work on regular customers who do not pay by gift card". They also over charged me, $135 when I was only expecting to pay $119. When I pointed them to their published prices on the website she then said it was because I got the aromatherapy and hot stone, none of which i asked for. It is completley inappropriate to charge someone for a service they did not ask for. I will say that on a positive note, their 90 minute massage is a true 90 minutes and additionally they had a nice relaxing room to get ready with hot towel and tea service. Overall the swapping of massuses and adding on extra charges I never asked for is completley unprofessional and the reason for my rating. read more

She is the most kind, honest and sweet person- not to mention she truly has a GIFT for knowing what your body needs. After hard work outs at the gym or lots of stress and tight muscles, she and her other masseuses would find every single knot or pulled muscle! And I mean literally every one!! I booked this spa on ClassPass a couple weeks ago for a Saturday at 9:30 AM. When I arrived, the door was locked, and I looked online and found that they open at 10:00 AM. Since they couldn't get me in the rest of the day, they told me they'd refund my credits. A couple weeks later, I booked via ClassPass again and woke up to my booking being cancelled. I called, and she was able to get us in later that day for a Couple's Massage. When we arrived, we were taken back to a room to soak our feet and we were served tea meanwhile. Then we were taken to our room, where there was a rose on one of two of the massage beds. My husband's bed was heated, but mine was not. The massage was just fine for me, and my husband said his was good. The lady literally climbed on top of me and straddled me during my massage, which I found to be bizarre and not professional. There were a few issues with my visit, that I've also seen in other Yelp and ClassPass reviews. The lady, who I assume is the owner, was complaining to us the whole time during our foot soak/massage about how ClassPass and SpaFinder don't pay her a lot. It made me feel super awkward since we are avid ClassPass users, and because she does have a choice whether to accept ClassPass users or not - she's not forced! Now to the worst part of the entire experience....when I went to tip at the end. I asked if our masseuses had Venmo so I could Venmo each of them. The owner provided me with one of the masseuses Venmo account names and told me to just Venmo the entire tip to her and she'd split it. While I was typing the Venmo, the owner said, "How much tip are you leaving?" I ignored her because I couldn't believe my ears. When I ignored her, she asked again louder, "How much tip are you leaving?" So I said, "20%." She rolled her eyes and said, "Only 20%? It was a 90 minute massage. I think 20% is so-so. It's better if you leave 25%." I cannot make this up. I was in literal shock and disbelief, and it left the most sour taste in my mouth. I ended up leaving 25 each, but I was so traumatized because of how rude the owner was. It's one thing to ask how much someone would like to leave for a tip, but it's another thing to comment negatively on a very generous tip and then gaslight someone and make them feel horrible for leaving 20%! My wife and I purchased a Groupon for this place-a 90 minute couples massage. We went to use it today and were impressed with the value. We arrived about 10 minutes before our appointment and were warmly greeted by someone at the front desk, then taken to a relaxing room where we sipped on some tea in our robes, and soaked our feet in a foot spa (this didn't not count against our 90 minutes of massage time). We were then given a foot massage by our masseurs (Lily & James) and subsequently taken to our massage area. The massage was not your typical Swedish relaxation massage, it was more of a eastern practice therapeutic massage with some unconventional (when compared to your Burke Williams/Massage Envy Places) methods including hot stones, stretching, and acupressure points. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would be happy to return. I got the full 90 minutes and felt great after. My wife also felt great after.
