Zelda's Pet Grooming - Sorry mom I got a bad hair cut. - Pet Groomers Near Me - Pullman, Washington

Customer service. They let my dog chew up his collar while in the kennel. I brought it up with them. You can't leave a pull collar type on them unattended. They said they did not damage the collar , my dog did it. Been going there for 3 years with 2 dogs. The 1st time something comes up , its not worth a 30 dollar collar to keep my business. Let's see 100 dollars a piece for 2 dogs plus our daughters dog. Thats 300. I told them they will lose my business and will post this. Manager laughed and said ok. To lose that much business for 30 dollars? Thats not bright. Heck I've given the groomer alot of money for tips. She should had said I'll pay for it. She said nothing. So you see if your animal gets bitten or kennel cough. I can tell you the answer they will give you. Your dog did it or the other dog did it. It wasn't them. Good luck if you take them there. Oh by the way. They do not require to see any vaccinations for the animals who they groom. read more

My huge orange Maincoon/Siberian mix kitty told me about Zelda's. Broccoli loves to roam out in his yard, but because of his long hair, he sometimes comes back with half the yard in it. I've taken him to Zelda's twice now and they are thorough and quick, both times took only an hour or less for full bath and hair trim. I see how they treat the animals when I drop him off and pick him up (very very well), and Broc always comes home happy. I've heard some people complain they are expensive, but not compared to other pet grooming places, and sorry but I won't take Broc or any of my animals to a cheap place where they might do a cheap job and not be good to my sweetheart. I'll keep going to Zelda's! read more

I would definitely recommend Zelda's! I took my cat, Marvin here for a bath and groom. We moved to the area recently, and I have been looking for a place that does cats, and boy am I glad I found Zelda's. We drive from Lewiston, but the trip is definitely worth it. Marvin came home, happy, and looking extra handsome and clean. We will be back, you've got yourself loyal customers now. Thanks again for taking care of my baby. read more

Our Australian Terrier has had her dual coat "stripped" for 3 years in a row. Our dog has been happy, we have been pleased. This is the only groomer I could find who is knowledgeable about stripping a dog's coat. Recently our newly adopted Welsh Terrier has been groomed twice since last fall. (She needs a trim every two months.) Both visits went well. Our Welshie has been happy, and her grooming was well done. 4 stars as no one is perfect! read more

I liked this place. Good vibe. Felt like a group of friends working together. This was my dog's first experience at a pet groomer and he left happy as a clam, rather than traumatized, which I was afraid of. We just did the dog bath, they took care of his ears and nails along with that, and they pointed out a health concern which I was aware of, but I was happy that they clearly did their job well enough to notice! I plan to be a return customer. I thought maybe they had closed. I drove by the other day and didn't see the same purple building that I saw the last few years I've lived here. They painted the exterior, which is now black. I wonder if it's under new management? I read some bad reviews before I went, but I struggle to imagine the group of people I met today being anything less than stellar. read more

Alex does a great job every time with my big Bernedoodle. He loves going to the groomer, even though he is not a fan of the nail trim. They also pluck the hair from his ear canals so I don't have to do it! I especially appreciate that they don't keep him there for hours waiting around, but get him bathed, groomed, and out. I drive here from Moscow. Getting there and parking is quite easy. Worth the extra drive. read more

This is by far the worst place you could ever take your dog.. We are new to the area and this was one of the first places I seen, but I will never go back. They cut my yorkie maltese ear and clipped all her nails to point where they were all bleeding because they were too short. I've been calling everyday for the past week to get some answers on why they did this and why they didn't have the respect to tell me. All they can say is her nails were bleeding "because it's part of the process". Don't take your fur babies here!!! I give this place negative 5 stars! ps. I groom humans for a living and we don't make their fingers bleed read more

I took me fur son Regal in today because he's been shedding like crazy. I called yesterday and just the promptness of the scheduling they gave me a desirable time. Since I have gotten him he has had rougher fur not super bad but like not soft. Ohh my Lord! When I got him back it's like petting a stuffed animal and the best part he is not shedding like at all. For the style of work these wonderful people do it is very affordable! I am so so so happy with the results and Regal himself seems genuinely content! This is a place I will be going to for years to come because of how amazing they did! Thank you all again for making a life long customer! This is by far the most deserving review I have ever given on here! read more

I have a standard poodle and he can be a handful. Zeldas' groomers are always very patient and loving to him and always do a great job. I very much appreciate the care that they have towards animals. Also they communicate with me very well on his behavior and how they work through it. I will continue to go there because I trust them. Thanks Zeldas! read more

I wish I could give this place cero stars, I took my dog to get groomed and he came home smelling like wet dog, they literally just got my dog wet and dry him up the smell was awful, I had to give him a bath at home totally waist of $65. My family has been taking pets to Zelda's Pet Grooming for many years now, but in the last couple years standards and cleanliness have significantly dropped. Their employees do not even look nicely groomed which should be a clue to anyone expecting excellent service. The cleanliness in particular is terrible now, daughter's dog got an infection on his sensitive parts and had to pay $120 at the vet for exam/antibiotics. I will not go back to Zelda's ever again. read more

I take my pitbull/lab mix in for a shave every few months. The team at Zelda's does a great job working with my dog, Max. I was extra impressed with his toe nails when I picked him up, he doesn't like his paws touched and always gives me a hard time when it comes to nail clipping... they have the magic touch at Zelda's! His nails are nice and short and he looks great! I feel like they truly care about the animals they work with and go the extra mile to ensure the experience is as stress free for the animals as it can be. They were also great about working with me and my schedule. read more

Where do I start? I've lived in 3 different states with my maltipoo, Frankie and Zelda's is my favorite I've ever been to in his 10 years getting groomed! They are all so gentle, and really make me feel like I can trust them with my baby. I have never gotten him back completely shaved or with a bad haircut, and never noticed any injury, etc. I just can't get over how patient and sweet all Zelda's employees are, especially with my super anxious and attached lap dog. When I graduate I will be truly heartbroken to have to find another groomer, as I know keeping a timely schedule along with a great temperament is a rare combo to come by in dog grooming. It gets better, everyone- today I called hoping to get Frankie in before Thanksgiving break because he's been healing after a surgery for a couple weeks and is a bit of a mess now. Danielle agreed to come in EARLY on Saturday morning so he can get fluffy and clean after his recovery and I can still leave for Seattle on time. Thank you Zelda's!!! read more

I have taken both my AKC Saint Bernards, a full grown adult and a 6 month old puppy, to Zeldas for grooming. My adult, Shakespeare, walked out of there looking like a million dollars, absolutely show-ring ready. The only complaint I could possibly have is that we were quoted 65 or 70 dollars to get Shakes groomed, and it was a hundred when we picked him up. This is not even a real complaint, however, as the job they did was worth every penny. They even gave us a discount on puppy Tiberius because they felt bad about the overage! These groomers are completely professional and do a really, really excellent job. I will definitely be taking my furry gentlemen back here! read more

They are AMAZING!!! My chihuahua mix needed her nails trimmed and she is VERY dramatic! Because it was a new place for her she was very rude to them during her trim but they were so understanding and loving towards her. This really was the best experience I've ever had at a groomers bc of how sweet they were! Thank you Zelda's! read more

I love Zelda's! The owners and staff do a fantastic job and are so kind, caring, and have been so attentive to the special needs of my dog--and my son's dog, too! I just adopted a puppy and am looking forward to taking her in for her first visit. Before her, I had an older, sweet, handicapped dog (the last few years of her life, she used a cart). Zelda's took great care with her for several years and treated her so very well! My son's dog has an issue with certain types of flooring, and knowing this, Zelda's staff always put towels down for her to walk on so she feels more comfortable. Whenever I am there, I see such positive interaction between the people and pets. It's easy to see that the Zelda's crew truly love animals and what they do. read more

If you have a standard poodle do not go here. My poodle gets a very simple cut and it was not executed well here and it cost more than I've ever paid for a grooming on her in 8 years. I had to go home and fix it with my limited grooming equipment and it looks drastically better and I'm not even very good or experienced. If you can take the time though go to Debbie's Dog Grooming in Spokane. They charge less and do an amazing job with poodles! If you have to go in Pullman, pick Amber's over Zeldas any day of the week! read more

I brought my cat in for nail clipping because he's a terror for me to try and do. Granted, he might've been scared being in a new place surrounded by other animals but the employee's of Zelda's were incredible with him. He didn't put up a fight with them and they knew just how to approach the situation. The whole thing took less than 5 minutes too. Star-Lord and I will definitely be coming back! read more

This was the first time I have had my dog groomed because I prefer to do it myself. However, her hair was getting to be too long and messy for me to keep up with. I have a black russian terrier and If you have ever seen one then you know what I'm talking about. LOTS OF HAIR. Plus, my girl is my heart and soul, so Im hesitant to trust just anybody with her. Once I started speaking with them, they knew exactly how to cut her (which, black russians are somewhat rare dogs to find) and provided me with multiple options depending on how much time I wanted to spend at home grooming myself. They did absolutely fantastic with her cut and getting rid of all the mats. My girl looks and feels a million times better. They were also very kind and professional to me and my dog, which is important to me. I HIGHLY recommend Zelda's to any pet owner looking for a good groomer. read more

A special shout out to Dani and Melanie and staff for getting back to what they do best: Grooming. Even with all the hoops to jump through, they are doing a spectacular job. Just like always. They give personal attention to each customer. Of course it will be nice to be able to chat when things get back to "normal". Whatever that is nowadays. Some of the best service in town or anywhere. I can't recommend them enough. Thanks read more

I was late picking up my dog (first time I have ever been a little late) and they charged a $20 late fee even after I called!!! The staff at Zeldas are absolutely so welcoming! They make every experience a great one and they always make sure my pups leave with a cute little bandana. What a wonderful place, with the most caring employees I have ever seen. They did a great job with our little dog--just the treatment my daughter loved--baths, trims to her exact specifications, with adorable bandannas or bow ties thrown in for extra cuteness. I was not raised with dogs, but I was told by dog lovers that the trims were first-rate. Then when our little dog was killed by a driver on Grand who did not even bother to stop his truck, their compassion compensated for his complete lack thereof. They sent flowers, along with a teddy bear for my daughter to cuddle in the absence of her dearly loved pet. We are lucky to have Zelda's. read more

Please be careful about leaving your fur baby. I took my baby in yesterday to be groomed. He was fine with no issues. I have been taking him to Zeldas now for a couple years. When I picked him up, The groomer mentioned he was having issues with his right eye. I looked and he was having a hard time keeping it open. So thinking maybe a hair or something in his eye. Oh no! I got home and took him out of his crate. He was not acting his normal self and was having trouble opening both eyes. I immediately took him to the vet. He examined my baby and found he had contusions in both eyes. 183.00 later he is on pain meds and an antibiotic. I called to talk to The groomer and she had already left for the day. I talked to another person and relayed what we found at the vet and told her to have The groomer give me a call. You would think maybe a courtesy call to check on him. Nope! I'm convinced something happened there but they are not talking. I gave them a 1 rating because there's not a zero. read more

I tried to take my dog in for self-service bathing today --called ahead just to make sure they were open even though it says on their sign outside that they're open from 10-4 on Saturdays. Got a phone message that confirmed that they're open from 10-4 on Saturday. Phone message also said that if no one answered during normal business hours, it just meant that they were busy. Loaded my elderly dog up in the car and went down there only to find the door locked and the lights out. How irresponsible is it to not change the signage and voice mail if you're going to be closed? Wasted my time and stressed out my dog. Won't be back and won't recommend to others. That's just bad business. read more
