Now that I've been craving this lunch for four full days since I had it... it's official, this is my new favorite lunch spot in the Quad Cities. I come to Bettendorf for work about twice per month and last Thursday I decided to give Zeke's a try. Truthfully, this was not my first time at Zeke's, as I had tried it many years ago, at their original location, when I still lived in town. I remember not being particularly impressed the first time but I love this type of cuisine so I picked up a Huli Huli Chicken Rice Bowl. Man, it was absolutely incredible. Even now, my mouth is watering thinking about the flavors I enjoyed! I can't wait to be back in town to try another bowl! read more

ZEKE'S 2 - Huli Huli Chicken Rice Bowl - Caribbean Near Me - Bettendorf, Iowa

Loved that they had very accessible for gluten free options! Huli huli chicken was really good! I also liked the shrimp! They gave a great amount of food that easily could be two meals! read more

We were driving through going to Minnesota and looking for a lunch spot that offered gluten free options. Many Google reviews state this place is the best option in town and they were right. The flavor and richness was a great balance. The chicken and pulled pork was not dry. Everything was perfectly seasoned. The heat level for HOT was just right. Lastly, they give you a lot of meat. We could not finish our bowl...perfect for the second leg of our trip. This place is legit and needs to be on your next food stop in Iowa. read more

We stopped on our way through town, driving home to Des Moines. I saw it pop up on Yelp and they were open til 8:30 which was just enough time for us to try it. Glad we did! I ordered the Huli huli chicken bowl. It was VERY good I was pleasantly surprised. The meat was a little sweet but mostly savory, very tender and well cooked. The rice was great too- flavorful and not overly dry or mushy. I ordered black beans as a side and mixed it in. My husband ordered sliders, they let him get one of each. He was really excited to be able to sample all the meats and said everything was good especially the pork. For our toddler we bought the kids quesadilla. It was a simple cheese quesadilla But made the little one happy. It came with an applesauce cup and nachos. They did forget to give us a spoon for the applesauce, and we had to make do with a fork which was pretty messy. But no big deal in the end! Overall we were very happy with our meals and will probably eat here again on future holiday road trips. read more

This place is so poorly run and it's so disappointing because we used to love the food. Not worth ordering from this place any longer, as we've had so many bad experiences as of late. Tonight we ordered food and waited 1 1/2 hours before being notified 15 minutes before they were closing that they were out of the food we ordered. read more

Food was really good. Friendly staff (Eugene was so helpful) looking forward to trying more of their food

Very cool place in downtown Davenport! Portions are very generous and prices not bad! Service was excellent for my first visit! I got the jerk chicken and pulled pork island platter! It's gonna fill you up with goodness! The pineapple was excellent and the island rice very good! Sometimes people make it dry but not here! The egg roll was bomb as well! For sure a place with good flavors and a delicious menu to drool over! read more

I was excited to try this restaurant but after eating there unfortunately I cannot recommend it. Pros: interest menu. Decent selection. Friendly service. Cons: food quality and taste was disappointing. Got pork sliders and hulu chicken rice bowl with some sides. Rice was very cheap tasting. Seasonings were off in general. Beans were bland. Worst tortilla chips on the side I've ever had. Restaurant atmosphere was odd island themed with bad music and decorations. The owners need to try much harder. read more

Zeke's has amazing food & some really unique flavors! We ordered carry out for a work lunch this afternoon and I tried the Crispy Shrimp Salad with Tango Mango vinaigrette. It was super fresh and delicious. My coworkers all got the Garlic Chili Shrimp tacos and I'll definitely be trying those next time. There's so many options, I'm already excited to go back. During the pandemic they're doing carry out only, and doing a great job with masks & cleaning too. read more

ZEKE'S 2 - Create Your Own Island Salad - Caribbean Near Me - Bettendorf, Iowa

This is not authentic. The food is absolutely over salted and I am 100% they don't know what Huli Huli pork is supposed to be. Mac Salad is literally their shit coleslaw mixed in with pasta. read more

Love thier food but have only done takeout. This one doesn't have the pulled pork nachos. But they have tacos

While it wasn't what we expected - an actual restaurant rather than a small sandwich shop atmosphere- the food was delicious, generous portions and great service. Our grandson loved the breaded shrimp. The pulled pork and tacos were so flavorful. Food would be great for game day! Not sure if they cater but I would recommend them if they do. Go! read more

If i could leave a zero star review i would... maybe even negative!... don't get me wrong the service was fast and helpful, but that food was terrible. I will never spend my money on that food again. Here's why..my friend and I got two rice bowls which come with a serving of protein or veggies. we both got protein. RIGHT after we ordered, the food came out (no longer than like two minutes) which is nice and all but not when the rice was cold and meat was lukewarm! Not only that but there was absolutely no seasoning at all, the chicken and pork were super super bland and their rice tasted like nothing... i love the idea of this restaurant, i think they could do really well... if they made some changes. Other than that they had a great ambiance and attitude! read more

Called ahead for a pick up of coconut shrimp plate and the jerk chicken plates. Wow. First bite was of the egg roll -- which to my surprise was full of cabbage and a delight. Little dip in the sweet and sour sauce and was definitely not expecting how nice that was. I don't even think I was that hungry! Everything was on point: the chicken was tender, the butterflied coconut shrimp were fresh, and I just couldn't get over that egg roll. One more dip, one more bite. Let's do it again. read more

Awesome! The serving sizes were perfect. Not too big so a person felt like a beached whale. Food wasn't greasy and fatty! Friendly service, nice people. Clean. read more

It's honestly pretty hard to get 5 stars on anything because there is always room for improvement, but not this. I wouldn't even call this a restaurant, it's 100% a flavor art gallery. I don't venture outside of what I know, but I'm traveling for work and the menu caught my attention. The meat was cooked perfectly, had the perfect amount of moistness along with just the right amount of spices and flavors. I am a Meat Scientist, so please believe me this Jerk Chicken and pulled Pork is the real deal. A very generous portion of amazing food. The Banana Beach Bum Cocktail is no less quality than the food. If I lived in this town they would know me by name. I would love to have a flavor gallery in my town of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Thank you for the best dinner and great experience! 5 freaking stars all the way!!!!! read more

Located right in Bettendorf right off i74, (west side of the interstate), Zekes is right next to the old Schnucks. And across the street from Starbucks, Brueggers, and near Home Depot. They're were fast!!!! Zeke's looks like nothing special- strip mall fast food, but I assure you there is nothing like it!!! Hours have been variable during COVID but they have been accommodating. You can order the spiciness to your taste. It is not Mexican. There can be a touch of sweet in some of the dishes. I have done take out several times; the inside is five booths. read more

I used to visit L&L BBQ when I lived in Colorado. Since moving to Davenport, I've been missing my island fix. That's until I found Zeke's 2 in Duck Creek Plaza, Bettendorf. Tried the Hulihuli chicken sliders and couldn't believe the amount of chicken they give you. Notice they have protein bowls which is double protein with no rice or sides. My daughter does low carb and wants to try the jerk chicken or the pulled pork. bowls. We will definitely be back to Zeke's to get our Island fix. read more

Jerk chicken sliders were so flavorful! They had several other good looking items, I would go back.

We almost gave up on this place because it always seems like they're closed when we try to go. Ate there a couple weeks ago & food was great! Prices seemed expensive until we got our food and saw the huge portion sizes. Entrees are definitely big enough to share. read more

Food was outstanding. Wife had Hawaiian pulled pork, and I had the jerk chicken which was the best overall tasting outside of Jamaica. Service was prompt and polite and the atmosphere nice. Loved the trivia on the tv...it was fun. Could give a little more time when the answers are long though. All things considered though, Zeke's in now on my list for every time I am in Bettendorf. read more

Huli huli chicken is always incredible! I highly recommend it! Also the Key Lime Pie! Yes!

The food and service were amazing! Great selection of gluten free items. The crab egg roll is a must try!

Delicious. Make sure to try the huli huli chicken and the egg rolls. Service was great, too.

Love Zeke's! Great variety of food for our wedding buffet. So easy to work with, professional and friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Had the Huli Huli chicken and it was really good and flavorful, my kids loved the egg rolls and we had good portions.

10/10!! Ordered pick up for dinner tonight (garlic chili shrimp and caribbean combo). Service was amazing and quick. Definitely coming back here to try out the rest of the menu. read more

Unbelievable Big Kahuna nachos! These were delivered, so by the time I get them, the chips are gonna be soggy, right? NO WAY! And I'm pretty sure I wasn't even the delivery guy's first stop. So, we have a single dense layer of CRISPY chips (who needs the chips underneath with no toppings on them?). They're covered with lots of melted cheese, chunks and shreds of delicious pulled pork and the usual suspects (sour cream, tomatoes, green onions), plus barbecue sauce ... SO GOOD! Top ratings! The rest of my meal was good, but didn't quite live up to the appetizer. I had the Caribbean Combo: more good pulled pork and chunks of savory jerk chicken (good flavor but no noticeable heat (this is Iowa, after all) on top of ok rice and beans (sorry, my Latina mother-in-law has me permanently spoiled for rice and beans.). It came with an egg roll which, sadly, was a bit soggy from the delivery but still tasted good. Dessert was the Crispy Banana Peanut Butter Egg Roll. It was good, but it too was largely soggy, and didn't have much peanut butter flavor (though I could find solid chunks of banana inside, and the dusting of sugar on the outside was nice.). read more

Zeke's never disappoints. I basically love everything on the menu. The pulled pork island Tacos are so flavorful and filling and the chicken. So good! read more

Clean, fun atmosphere, friendly service and good food. I loved the shrimp tacos. I can't wait to eat their again!

This place is a true gem in the quad cities. Hands down one of the very best places to eat. The food is flavorful, filling, and always prepared perfectly. Have never had something we didn't like. Highly recommend to all! read more

I don't think I could ever get tired of this place, it's absolutely amazing. The only issue I ever run into is that they are out of things quite often. Today they were out of the punch and last month when I went they were out of the key lime pie. Do yourself a favor and check it out! You won't regret it! read more

Zeke's is amazing for Celiacs or those looking for a gluten-free meal. Tons of options!!!! The staff are SO nice and knowledgeable on food allergies. We were greeted quickly and the food and drinks were amazing! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Overall a fun atmosphere with great staff and amazing food! read more

I love the downtown Davenport location... But this is a lot more convenient to where we live. This is a smaller version. They actually have a breakfast menu and some coffee, although it's a fairly limited menu as far as that goes. The main food offerings are the same as the other location. Located in the same shopping center as Shnuck's and McDonald's, there's lots of parking. Limited seating, but I don't think it tends to be particularly crowded. No liquor at this location as far as I can tell. read more

Out of this world delicious!! This was my second time to the Bettendorf location. The Jamaican Jerk chicken is so flavorful, tender and juicy. It was great in a rice and as a salad!! I will be back soon read more

The food was delicious, very flavorful and fresh. We got the Caribbean chicken, Hawaiian pulled pork, crab cakes and egg rolls, and everything was fantastic. We tend to get in the burger/pizza/American-fried-food rut, and Zekes was a much needed change of pace. We will definitely be coming back. read more
