My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant by coincidence while biking in the local area. Oh how I am so stoked I did. This place offered some of the best organic recipes I have ever tasted! I must admit the location is prefect for those who have spent a long day biking, or hanging out at the lake (Niederweimarer See). By proximity the restaurant offers an awesome spot to enjoy some fine dining in a small German village (Argenstein). Going back to the food, I had the pasta (Tagliatelle) with assorted mushrooms and strips of beef and a small salad. Both were excellent! My wife tried some sort of schnitzel which I believe it was veal with parmesan and some vegetables. She ate every last bite which is unique for her as she never finishes her plate. I skipped out on dessert but she had the crème brulee and offered me a bite. We both agreed it ranked within the top 10 desserts we have ever had. Sitting outside offered a relaxing atmosphere though there were some insects that became annoying as the time passed. The sunset was gorgeous, the food was superb, and the staff were very attentive. We will definitely return to this restaurant on our next trip back to Germany. read more
