Of the four dinners during our trip, we probably enjoyed this one the most given our connection with our server and the fun/upbeat atmosphere of the restaurant. We had to start with the classic French Onion Soup au Gratin, which was served with a thick layer of cheese and was piping hot. Great way to warm up on a rainy evening. Our server suggested I try the Shrimp Salad with green beans & avocado. It seemed like an odd combination of ingredients, but oh was I wrong. All the flavors and textures popped. I just always call out when seafood is not over-cooked. The ambiance is elegant, warm and luxurious. The service is experienced and informed. My only complaint, although small, was the wine pour. My husband does not drink much and I don't want to drink a whole bottle by myself, so we ordered by the glass. The pour was tiny; more like a pairing pour. I don't know if this is a house policy or if the waiter made that decision. It didn't ruin the evening, it was just the only disappointment. You decide if that matters.
