I knew I would do more blinds in the future, so naturally I called the owner to get a quote for a less expensive, yet still esthetically nice blind on several windows in my house. The quote went well, though I remember vividly that I thought the blinds had a lining - I told the owner I wanted more privacy, and he understood. My quote came in a little under $2000, unlined, as discussed - when I tried calling him about the lining - and emailing him, he dodged every email and text. I finally got tired of the owner not responding, so I picked up the phone and called him on a workday at 7:30-8 - to which he was irritated and asked me if I knew how early it was - don't most people that work/own their own business get up early? I do! I own my own business. I was also told that I am not his only customer - who says that to a repeat customer?! It's business 101! Paul, the installer, installed a defective blind in my back hall - too late - he drilled holes in the door. He said he would order another replacement ASAP. I can only pull down the shade 8' on a long skinny window that is over 6 feet! I am sure you can imagine my irritation. I tried to be calm, email him every week or week and a half so as not to harangue him - no response. I finally rec'd a pithy email after sending him several texts, and emails; the one and only response was 'it was ordered the day of install' this was early Jan. It is now almost March. Bryan will not return my calls, emails, etc. the shade was approx $400 - and it totally defective! I am afraid to touch it for fear it will break. Them shades look cheap for almost $2000. I just wanted him to make good on his promise, apparently he doesn't care. I would advise people to go elsewhere for an estimate - even Lowes. Boy was I wrong in thinking the owner would be a moral, decent, honest businessman - I was wrong. If anyone needs to discuss, come see the defective blind, or knows a good small claims court attorney, I would appreciate the name of someone that can help me get my money back. I will never use this company ever again. Anyone I speak with will know what happened to me, and hopefully not suffer the same poor customer service and warranty provided. I even reached out to the corporate store to see if they could help, no help at all! It seems to be company policy to not service the customer. They get the money all upfront, so if anything is wrong, you are relying on them to do the right thing. It really opened my eyes to what the owner and company is like as a whole. He offered us a $200 refund on a $1300 order. Instead of offering good customer service, he just wanted to move past his mistake and not fix it. I've given the owner at least one month to fix the situation, but he has not responded or tried to fix his mistake. Very unsatisfied and regretful to order from 1-800-4-blinds! Buyer beware!

Tom did an amazing job from beginning to end. We bonded over gardening and the rest is history. I even got a few vegetable plants out the deal. Tom was very patient, understanding of our needs and was timely with follow up phone calls and answers. My mom actually changed her mind after our initial order and we got another treatment for her window. So glad we did. It looks better and my mom is pleased. Overall their customer service was amazing. He came in COVID proof, showed us some options and provided us with advice that complimented our needs. Price was reasonably competitive with others, though not the cheapest. Chose Budget Blinds bc color selection and expertise to suggest cost-saving opportunities when discussing options. Tom and Mark worked quickly and neatly to remove slats and install new shades. After a month, we are pleased with the quality of the shades, the up-from-bottom/down-from-top movements, and the powered shade that addressed an unusually large window in the living room. Bonus: the French doors now have blinds INSIDE the windowpanes, which removes noise from slats when door is opened. We recommend Budget Blinds of Indiana, based on quality, expertise of providers, and installation performance.
