    Buffalo blue salad
    John C.

Visited this new-ish Zaxby's tonight for dinner. It wasn't terribly busy but I was behind two other groups in line. I kinda wish someone had come to the other register to help the line move quickly. There was some confusion as I ordered but we got it settled. The manager who helped wasn't terribly kind and definitely didn't give the "happy to help" vibe. I got the Bleu salad with buffalo grilled chicken. It was fine. I wouldn't get it again. The buffalo sauce was squeezed onto the salad instead of tossing the chicken bites in them. This made the whole salad pretty soggy. Again, it was fine. I enjoyed the blue cheese crumbles and the crispy onions. I'll probably go back in the future but will try something else.

    Pathetic salad. Half full.

First time coming to this Zaxby's and went through the drive thru. I have usually had good experiences and good food. I would agree with many of the previous reviewers anonymous the poor customer service, unfortunately I didn't read them until after the fact. I went through the drive through and Khaliyah took my order, or attempted to. She seemed to struggle working the two-way communication system and was not aware of how customer service works. I ordered the grilled chicken salad with ranch. She asked me which one. I said the house salad. She then asked grilled or crispy. I said grilled. She asked which dressing, and again I said ranch. Keep in mind when I asked any question or needed her to repeat her question there was no response. Pretty desiring but I tried to be patient. After ordering she said pull up to the window. I pulled up to the window and she said $8.53. I gave her my credit card. Gave me my card back and said "here" as I was suppose to know what she was thinking. Then basically threw my salad at me through the window. Talk about poor customer service and an attitude! Not only was I disappointed with the service, came to find out when I got home that my salad was only half full.....not worth $8.50. I have receive this same salad many times before and the lid wouldn't stay on because it was so full. Nothing good about this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. You'll save money and employee attitudes.

Food service glove found in Salad
    Kim R.

Found a fly in the salad last week Tuesday and a food service glove I my salad Today 7/10/18. After bringing this to the manager's attention, I was treated very rudely. The manager said "how do I know you didn't put the glove in the salad"! I was asked to leave and she called 911 because I refuse to leave without my receipt. The level of disrespect was appalling. It's the absolute worst customer service experience I ever had. Never Again!

    Drive Thru window

Girl working the drive thru has nails so long she can barely hand me my card and receipt. Nobody wants to see food service employees with nails that long. Employees have their keys, drink cups and even cells phones charging on the counter in plain site of the window. The 92 sanitation grade makes sense.

Been to this location quite a few times had one in Georgia when I was stationed there glad the franchises are starting to move north! Today my little nibbler buns were burnt & the cashier seems pretty green, she's not wearing a uniform either which I find unprofessional etc...Dinning Room is a bit messy today also. In general the food here seems way to expensive for what it is, but it is unique so I find myself paying the inflated prices time to time. There's this one platter they have with fingers, wings & fries...I always get that when I have a friend with me, split the food & the price makes more sense it's definitely enough food for two.

Wow! Who knew they had so many?!

I enjoy their Zax sauce probably way too much! But I can't help it because it's delicious on everything! I do wish they included a drink with the meals, but also enjoy they include a nice buttery piece of toast! The price isn't bad for fast food and the to-go boxes keep your food in its place on the way home! Nothing can be more upsetting than getting home and seeing your food a hot mess at the bottom of the bag! I truly love the Zalads just as much as the tenders and fries!

While not all of our local options are great, we have a reasonably large number of options that are good enough to make them regular stops for me. Taco Mama is not going to be on that list, I'm afraid, based on my experience thus far. The facility itself seems fine, though the ambient noise level was rather loud (likely influenced by all the metal and concrete). But the food, the feel, the service and the value just don't compete well with all those other places we have to choose from. The unhelpful attitude of the clerk taking my order didn't start things out well; she seemed genuinely annoyed about being there, and that attitude carried over into her tone when answering my questions or prompting me for info she needed. Also on the service side of things, I had to stop the waitress from throwing away my food -- a plate over half full -- after I'd walked not more than ten steps away to refill my drink. [She apologized, but only after I had to confront her twice; still don't understand why "don't throw that away!" could have been confusing.] The burrito and beans I ordered were edible, but so bland that I might as well have been eating packing materials. The accompanying chips were warm, but the cup of salsa was quite possibly the least appealing salsa I've ever been served in a restaurant. I've had Taco Bell food I've enjoyed more than this. And yet I had forked over almost $20 for such a disappointment. Maybe it was an off-day. Maybe the tacos are the way to go here instead. But I don't think they offered even a hint of a reason for me to try Taco Mama again any time soon.

Sometimes I'm in the mood for tacos. Last week I figured I'd give them a try & so glad I did! It's always a plus to see a high sanitation rating! The ambiance is festive & clean, even around the soda machines. The counter service was great. The team member was knowledgeable, helpful & patient. I mentioned that I was a first-timer. There's a large selection of great toppings to choose from. Fulfillment is quick & the staff is pleasant at handoff. The food is always nicely packaged & travels well - it's also good to ask what does. My tacos were filled with veggies that came with a free side, along with chips & salsa! My to-go box was topped off with some of the best light & crispy chips - even better when salted & warm (I found the salt factor to be hit or miss on orders). Side note, while some competitors give you a dab of queso, Taco Mama doesn't skimp. I've eating here several times before posting, and it's consistent. Hopefully, they'll continue to keep up the quality food & service. Oh, I should point out that my bill only included the meal & tax. You don't have to worry about the dreaded, dare I say illegal, cc service charge that some establishments are passing onto their customers.

The reasons are it is often crowded and ordering becomes a hassle in their drive-thru, the chicken sandwich is the smallest of all chains, and I prefer the sandwiches at KFC, Popeye's, Bo Jangles, and even Church's, and Culver's has a nice sandwich. Since Popeyes threw down the gauntlet in Aug 2019 with the introduction of their now famous chicken sandwich, all the national and regional chains now offer their version, as do many local restaurants - check out the BYO at Bad Daddy's, the hot chicken at Bossy Beulah's, the fried chicken at Alex's in Lewisville, and there are even more! I know Chick-fil-A is still very popular, the drive-thru lines attest to that, but CFA has slipped in the national popularity area, usually listed as definitely behind Popeye's & KFC, and being pressured by Raisin' Caine's and perhaps others. I popped in here because it was off prime time, customer traffic was light, and I was a bit hungry. I ordered the Spicy Deluxe and it was quickly out. This is a decent sandwich, and I enjoyed it, but it in no way changes my view about which chicken sandwiches I prefer.

Today I got the Mac & cheese, one thing I like about their Mac and cheese is that they always make sure you have a clump of that chewy cheese from the top of the pan The only downside I have found to this location is that the area traffic can make it a little difficult to get in and out, depending on the time of day. I do tend to avoid it when Sam's Club/Hanes Mall Blvd. is busy, for that reason, but that's not the restaurant's fault.

Until recently there were no spots that had any inside seating, but this is gradually changing. They are known for the small building with drive thru lanes on both sides, and this plus the congestion surrounding many of their locations can make getting in and out a challenge, though this one in not as bad as many! The burgers and chicken sandwiches here are far superior to the offerings of any national chain l, with the possible exception of a properly staffed and operating Culver's - the one in Winston is not one of those, the one in Kernersville most certainly is. The number of locals spots that rival the offerings here is very small. I ordered each of my favorite items here - Bacon Cheeseburger and the Crispy, Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. The time in line here are generally a bit longer than the larger chains, but still around 10 minutes. The burger was excellent and well sized as alway, these folks just know how to make a great burger. And the crispy, spicy chicken sandwich is as good as anyone's, including the cult one at Popeyes! And as for a double curse, at most of these spots, the prices go up as the portions tail off. I have found Jason's to be flying against these trends, consistently providing stable value and consistent flavor from a menu that is large and varied - with their full salad bar providing one of the very best values at any restaurant, national or local. On this visit, I was again picking up several items for a small family group. We chose fully loaded containers from the salad bar, a bow of chili, and a full sized Reuben sandwich. Once home, we split the items up for all to enjoy - nothing disappointed! This was a first try with the chili, and it was quite nice - plenty of well seasoned ground beef, no beans or onions, but was well topped with cheddar cheese! The Reuben contained 8 ounces of hot, tasty corned beef, great cheese, plenty of kraut, marble rye, and lots of 1000 Island Dressing. It was cut into the required pieces, and the additional dressing was shared - a bit messy but delicious in total. The center piece was the large amount of variety in the salad, and when well covered in the dressing this was great - not especially healthy with the amount of dressing I added! I'll be back soon as I noticed they are offering Beef Stew for a while - gotta try that.
