Zaxby's in not a place I often go to, but in trying to find out what are the best fried chicken sandwiches, now that so many spots offer a version, I headed here to sample their's. The hand breaded chicken fillet is probably between 6 and 7 ounces. It comes on a toasted potato bun, several pickle slices and the signature Zax sauce. This is a good chicken sandwich, but it is not in the class of KFC, or even Popeye's or Culver's - closer to McDonald's or Burger King. The chicken is nicely breaded, well fried. But the rest of the sandwich - sauce, bun, and pickle are average or less. I would rate this sandwich in the middle of the pack of national fast food chains. read more

Went inside to eat. No customers were inside, that should have been my first sign to turn around. After we ordered, I went to go find a table and about half of them still had food and trays on them. Like I said, it was empty so why they weren't cleaned is beyond me as there were about 7 people working. I went back to the counter and asked for it to be a to go order. The best part, is when I watched the gentlemen put my cheese curds in the box, then take one back out of the box and helped himself to a little snack and then placed it on the tray. We asked for honey mustard and ranch, and was it put into the bag? Of course not. First and last time I will try a Zaxbys. First time coming to this Zaxby's and went through the drive thru. I have usually had good experiences and good food. I would agree with many of the previous reviewers anonymous the poor customer service, unfortunately I didn't read them until after the fact. I went through the drive through and Khaliyah took my order, or attempted to. She seemed to struggle working the two-way communication system and was not aware of how customer service works. I ordered the grilled chicken salad with ranch. She asked me which one. I said the house salad. She then asked grilled or crispy. I said grilled. She asked which dressing, and again I said ranch. Keep in mind when I asked any question or needed her to repeat her question there was no response. Pretty desiring but I tried to be patient. After ordering she said pull up to the window. I pulled up to the window and she said $8.53. I gave her my credit card. Gave me my card back and said "here" as I was suppose to know what she was thinking. Then basically threw my salad at me through the window. Talk about poor customer service and an attitude! Not only was I disappointed with the service, came to find out when I got home that my salad was only half full.....not worth $8.50. I have receive this same salad many times before and the lid wouldn't stay on because it was so full. Nothing good about this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Visited this new-ish Zaxby's tonight for dinner. It wasn't terribly busy but I was behind two other groups in line. I kinda wish someone had come to the other register to help the line move quickly. There was some confusion as I ordered but we got it settled. The manager who helped wasn't terribly kind and definitely didn't give the "happy to help" vibe. I got the Bleu salad with buffalo grilled chicken. It was fine. I wouldn't get it again. The buffalo sauce was squeezed onto the salad instead of tossing the chicken bites in them. This made the whole salad pretty soggy. Again, it was fine. I enjoyed the blue cheese crumbles and the crispy onions. I'll probably go back in the future but will try something else. read more

Found a fly in the salad last week Tuesday and a food service glove I my salad Today 7/10/18. After bringing this to the manager's attention, I was treated very rudely. I feel writing this review as I have only used their drive thru for their chicken Caesar salad but let me tell you about that salad! I love Caesar salads more than I care to admit and I normally get a craving for one once a week. I can just drive in over to zaxbys and grab on and go on my way. It is around $7 but it's so big I don't mind it. I normally can't finish it anyways. The romaine is cut perfectly and not huge, long streaks. The added bacon is probably why I love it so much and the friend chicken on top. Perfect! Plus, I can get a cherry Coke Zero which makes me a very happy girl. I love the food at Zaxby's-my rating is for the poor service and negative attitude from the cashier. I visited this site today for lunch and I had several orders to get. I explained that when I placed my order. I asked if the salads were made with iceberg or spring mix, the cashier rolled her eyes and smacked her lips. I also ordered the nibblerzs (but I called it the wrong thing- I called them the mini sliders) and again she rolled her eyes and smacked her lips. Food is good but this place is waiting for a lawsuit. They put faux wood tiles in the dining area. Anytime there is an ounce of water on the floor it becomes an oil slick. Basically the wet floor signs stay up permanently. It is quite dangerous. I'm not exaggerating. The floor feels like it's coated with oil(every time I'm here). Whoever came up with the idea for these tiles was way wrong. Completely insanity. Pull em up and start over. Only a matter of time until you get sued. Currently staring at the drink station. Out of state visitor wanted to sit down but not pay sit-down prices. This turned out to be perfect. Big, airy, modern and CLEAN, I felt a good vibe right away. Was recommended Wingz n Thingz platter, and it was right for me and my two players. The soft and crispy garlic bread was an excellent touch. Been to this location quite a few times had one in Georgia when I was stationed there glad the franchises are starting to move north! Today my little nibbler buns were burnt & the cashier seems pretty green, she's not wearing a uniform either which I find unprofessional etc...Dinning Room is a bit messy today also. In general the food here seems way to expensive for what it is, but it is unique so I find myself paying the inflated prices time to time. I don't think you can really go wrong with Zaxby's. This location is newer, and I've never been inside, but the food is always delicious, fresh, and the service is efficient. It's a little confusing to get into because of all of the construction surrounding it, but you just have to turn at the light where Hobby Lobby is located and take a left at the stop sign. Their salads are great, as well as the their combos. The prices might be higher than a typical drive-thru, but the freshness is no comparison to other restaurants of the like. If you haven't tried their Zaxby's sauce, you need to! It's delightful on pretty much everything! read more

I enjoy their Zax sauce probably way too much! But I can't help it because it's delicious on everything! I do wish they included a drink with the meals, but also enjoy they include a nice buttery piece of toast! The price isn't bad for fast food and the to-go boxes keep your food in its place on the way home! Everyone working here on 6/14/21 at 8:30 PM needs to be fired. After I ordered, I started pulling around and 2 people walked up on foot to the window to complain and get a refund. They warned me to check my food because they were messing up everyone's orders. I ordered a half sweet/half unsweet tea, they gave me fully sweet. I gave it back and they remade it and gave me half sweet/half lemonade. I let it go because I didn't want to be difficult. I ordered a garden salad (meaning no meat, I clarified no meat), and they gave me a salad with bacon. I handed it back and they gave it back to me. I assumed it was remade. I drove off and realized they forgot my fries. Went back and got my fries. Got to my hotel after a long day of traveling, opened up my salad and I see bits of bacon in it. They clearly just picked out some of the bacon. I've never taken a single bite of red meat in my 28 years of living. It disgusts me and it's pure laziness to pick it out instead of remake it when it was their mistake to begin with. Truly the worst experience I've ever had at any fast food place. read more

I have been to Zaxby's twice and I think its a decent option for a quick lunch! The first time I went in was the first day they were open and things were kind of a hot mess at the register. Once things got figured out the line moved quickly though. You kind of expect that on their first day. I got the boneless buffalo wings and they were okay. I wish they gave you more than two pieces of warm celery with it. From the photos I was expecting more! My neighbor kept talking about the Zax sauce so I figured I would head back over to try it since I had to return something at Hobby Lobby. The second time I tried out the Nibbler; now that thing was pretty tasty! A small toasted buttery bun, chicken tender, and their Zac sauce. It reminded of almost like a BBQ sauce. This time I went through the drive-thru and they were really friendly and efficient, even offering me a cup of ice water without me asking. I agree with Josh K. about the floors in the dining area, to/from the bathrooms, etc. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Even spoke with the employee at the register about the need to clean the floor with something (ammonia, etc.) that will cut the soap scum build-up. The reply was it gets like that when ice is spilled on the floor and melts, we need a new mop, etc.. News flash!!!...mopping doesn't help. Of the 4 adults in our group, three of us almost fell and it's been that way every time we've eaten there. The food is good, but sliding around on the floor is not worth it. The fall risk is great, especially for a senior citizen. We have eaten at several other Zaxby's several times and NEVER encountered this problem. I assure you we won't eat at this one again. Worst drive thru experience of any restaurant ever. Was there to pick up a Grubhub order for Danielle. Girl at drive thru could barely speak competently and she was slurring her words. I told her twice GH for Danielle. She took the GH card and charged a Doordash order for Austin on the Grubhub card. She repeatedly asked me what I had ordered and I told her three times and she still had no clue. There was a co worker standing there eating wings watching us try to sort the order out. After she asked me for the 5th time what drinks I had I told her to credit the GH card back and that I would drop the GH order. She refused and told me I would have to settle that with Doordash. I askednher for the managers name and she said "I don't know that either." Not only did I lose money on my GH order I will never return to that Zaxbys. From the looks of the kitchen area noone should eat there. I will be calling the health department and corporate tomorrow. Please do not visit that location! read more

I chose to eat here because it was close to my hotel after a long day of extended hours at work and I could pick it up before closing and take it back to my room. I arrived at the location at 10:53 after having difficulty finding it because all of the lights were off outside of the store and inside. The location was closed even though the posted hours said that it was open until 11 pm and my online order stated that my order would be ready at 10:55. There were two cars in the parking lot, but I could not see anyone inside. I did not feel it was safe enough to get out of my car because all of the lights were off and it was dark. I am extremely disappointed, hungry, and out the money that my card was charged for an order I never received. Why allow an online order if it will be ignored and the staff will close early? Poor moment of truth. Won't be coming back here after this awful first impression. read more
