My co-workers and I went to this Zaxby's location to pick up lunch for work. When we were ordering the food a situation came up, and we had to briefly leave for a moment. I wish I had his name, but the gentleman who was helping us was amazing. He remembers all the orders we made before we briefly left for a moment. I decided to get the Grilled Philly sandwich. Everything was cooked well with the chickens, peppers, and onions. Of course, the Zaxby's fries are always amazing. We stopped at the Zaxbys in hornlake there was almost no one in line and they were out of sweet tea. We ordered cheddar bites with our meal, got charged 6 dollars for them!!! But never got them. The chicken was fried so long, and so far in advance could be used for hockey puck. The french fries were kept under a warmer too long and over seasoned. All I can say is the tea and toast was good. There were at least seven employees there doing nothing. No excuse for such a sticky area around the soft drinks. And food not to be better prepared. Big Zax Snack meal is what I got here. In fact, that is usually what I always get. Nothing beats chicken fingers dipped in Zax sauce. It comes with French fries which are flavored with a special Xaxbys mix. They have a fountain drink machine in here that has a lot of drinks to choose from plus several flavors to choose from like cherry, lime, vanilla, lemon and etc. Service is pretty fast here as you order, pay and get a number on your receipt. Well, two stars is generous. We were there on a Monday at 6:30pm. The drive-thru was busy so we decided to go inside to order. There was only one other person in line ahead of us. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with fries, a house salad and an ice tea. The counter with the drink cups was dirty and there were no lids for the medium size cups. The floor was gross all along the edges and in the corners. Like someone swept & mopped the crumbs, oil and dirt to the sides of the walls and corners and left it all there day after day, week after week. We took our meal to a booth and almost slipped as the floor in front of our booth was so slick ... grease? Soap? Not sure but definitely not clean. We reported this to the person working at the counter and another person came out to check on the floor. She couldn't feel the slippery floor with her shoes as she said she had "non-slip shoes on" and then she left and didn't return. By then our appetite was gone and we were left wondering what the back kitchen area was like. The food was Ok, not as good other Zaxbys we've been to. The service was fine. So, one star for the service and one star for mediocre food. Note: the staff at the counter and preparing the food in the kitchen were wearing masks... but most employees lowered them to cover just their mouths and some on their chins. This place is absolutely AWESOME! We came here for the first time and ordered for the family through the drive through and the service was exceptional. We asked if a large fry would feed our family of two adults and three small kids and the lady told us it would. When we pulled around to the window, she told us she gave us an extra large fry at no charge because she didn't know how hungry we were! That and her amazing attitude that day has us customers for life. Going back a second time, we decided to dine in to try it out. The service was still exceptional. It makes a huge difference when people go above and beyond. It's definitely not like any other restaurant or fast food drive through I've ever experienced. The portions are really well sized, even the kids meal. All the sauces are good. The zaxbys and teriyaki are my favorites. Definitely worth the try The inside was a rustic modern looking dining area. I get all the way home to find y'all only put one chicken tender in my meal that usually come with three! My fries were cold in all three meals not cold from the ride home cold but actually cold! I'm not writing this review because my food was bad nor the service because both were great but how the workers let their customers act. I sit to eat my food at one of the booths for two people and on the opposite side are some employees that I think are taking a break well one of their little friends comes to my table just plops down and starts talking to them. First off rude, if I wanted company I would have asked for it. Then they start cussing calling someone a "fucking bitch", "why all women act like they on they cycles", "you a mother fucker".
